D23 2026 wasn't just about the future of the Disney Parks. Disney also unveiled a massive slate of movies, animation, television, and more—and there was so much to discuss that we're splitting our Entertainment Showcase coverage into two episodes! In Part 1, we dig into Disney's upcoming movie and animation slate, including The Simpsons Movie, Lilo & Stitch 2, The Bluey Movie, Ice Age: Boiling Point, the live-action Tangled, Oswald, Incredibles 3, Coco 2, Gatto, Ghost Market, Romy & Michele 2, Frozen 3, Zootopia 3, Hexed, and Clay. Which announcements actually got us excited? Which sequels feel justified? Which originals caught our attention? And how deep into its enormous library of characters and franchises is Disney willing to go? Along the way, we start noticing an interesting pattern: for all the talk about Disney relying on sequels and familiar IP, both Pixar and Walt Disney Animation are still putting original movies on the slate. That raises a much bigger question we'll be coming back to soon. And we're not finished with D23 yet! Part 2 continues with Marvel, Star Wars, streaming, games, and the rest of Disney's Entertainment Showcase. What are your thoughts? Email us at show@magicourway.com, call or text  815-MOWICAN (669-4226), or slide into our social media DMs. Every thought and opinion will forever be welcome on this Disney fan podcast. Did you know that a simple article on illegal street racing sparked a cinematic revolution? Join host Kevin Reid on this thrilling episode of The K. B. Radio Network as he celebrates the 25th anniversary of the iconic film 'The Fast and the Furious. ' What began as a summer action flick has morphed into a global franchise phenomenon, captivating audiences around the world and redefining the action genre. Reid takes you on a nostalgic journey, exploring the film's origins, its unexpected rise to fame, and the cultural impact it has had over the past quarter-century. As he delves into the fascinating backstory, Reid reveals how the film was inspired by a 1998 article that uncovered the underground world of street racing, leading to a cinematic masterpiece that would spawn numerous sequels and spin-offs. He discusses the film's star-studded cast, including the unforgettable performances of Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, and shares intriguing behind-the-scenes anecdotes, such as the fact that many of the actors had little to no driving experience at the time of filming. This episode is packed with insights that will make you appreciate the film on a whole new level. Reid doesn't shy away from critiquing the film's narrative, highlighting its character development and the powerful theme of family that resonates throughout the series. He draws a compelling contrast between the original film's grounded storytelling and the increasingly outrageous stunts that characterize its sequels. While the franchise has undoubtedly evolved, Reid ultimately praises the first installment for its emotional depth and relatable themes, giving it a well-deserved letter grade of B+. As the episode draws to a close, Kevin Reid encourages listeners to revisit 'The Fast and the Furious' and reflect on its lasting impact on pop culture. He invites you to share your thoughts and favorite entries in the franchise, fostering a sense of community among fans. Don't miss out on this engaging discussion that not only celebrates a cinematic milestone but also invites you to reflect on what makes a film truly memorable. Tune in to The K. B. She describes terrifying encounters with summoned entities, details an ongoing working with a demon of the Goetia, and reveals her current understanding of the nature of spirit pacts and psychic connections. Raya also reflects on the role of trauma in awakening psychic gifts, shares her thoughts on the connection between protection spells and personal boundaries, and warns of the dangers of spiritual psychosis and ego inflation when practicing magick. … Also available on Youtube, iTunes, & Spotify – search ‘Guru Viking Podcast'. … Topics include: 00:00 - Intro 00:49 - Middle class up-bringing in Australia 02:47 - Effects of isolation after premature birth 05:04 - Neglect and sensitivity to energy 07:25 - Chaotic household and learning to read people 09:32 - Ongoing work with childhood trauma 11:28 - Spiritual bypass and terrifying magickal experiences 16:27 - Why magicians should have therapy 17:51 - Spiritual psychosis and ego inflation 20:25 - Deconstructing the persona 24:29 - Which therapies Raya used 29:08 - Should Raya become a therapist? 31:06 - Childhood ghost encounters 34:18 - Early magickal workings 36:39 - Deep listening and interpreting intuition 38:53 - Local spirit encounters and violent dream 42:00 - Seeing spirits 45:12 - Dramatic exorcism by neighbour 50:18 - Reflection on sharing vulnerable stories 54:18 - Trauma and the new age 55:15 - Teenage magickal experiments summoning demons and the dead 01:02:41 - Seeking power through magick 01:05:06 - Similarities to the Labyrinth movie 01:06:36 - Terrifying Goetia demon experience 01:10:12 - Raya's understanding of how to work with demons 01:11:16 - Working with the Goetia demon Gemory 01:15:47 - Psychic connection to demons 01:20:37 - Connecting directly to demons vs using protection 01:27:04 - Personal boundaries as protection 01:29:59 - Listening to feedback from entities 01:30:56 - Intense magickal experiences in 20s 01:34:09 - Shapeshifter encounter 01:36:38 - Ormus, remote viewing, tantra, and telekinesis 01:39:32 - Sequel plans … To find our more about Raya Thorne, visit: - https://www.rayathorne.com/ For more interviews, videos, and more visit: - https://www.guruviking.com Music ‘Deva Dasi' by Steve James

Flight of the Navigator at 40: why this 1986 sci-fi charm still works Todd Hoffman flies solo in this episode of WSTR Galactic Public Access to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Flight of the Navigator. He breaks down the movie's plot, its 80s atmosphere, and why its mix of family drama, time travel, and alien weirdness still makes it a standout. "Flight of the Navigator may be about aliens, time travel, and flying saucers, but at the heart, it's about a kid trying to find his way home." Key topics Todd frames Flight of the Navigator as quintessential 1986 sci-fi: kid-led, practical, charming, and just spooky enough. He walks through the plot: David Freeman disappears in 1978, wakes up eight years later unchanged, and gets pulled into a government and alien mystery. He highlights the film's emotional core, especially the grief and consequences his family faces during David's absence. He talks about Max as the real star of the movie, including the ship's shape-shifting design and the robotic personality voiced by Paul Reubens. He praises the movie's practical effects, puppets, and early CGI for giving the film a tactile, memorable feel. He compares the movie's child wonder and pacing to other 80s favorites like E.T., The Goonies, and The Last Starfighter. He argues that kids' sci-fi movies worked so well in the 80s because they trusted slower buildup, imaginative premises, and relatable young protagonists. He says the film's biggest strength is that it is ultimately about a kid trying to find his way home. In News of the Week, Todd covers Star Wars Zero Company, a Marvel and Star Wars crossover comic, and rumors around Star Wars: Starfighter. In Cantina chat, he shares personal updates about storms in Illinois, Carla's upcoming wedding, a family trip to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, and plans for Fan Expo Chicago. Liane Moriarty is one of the most successful authors in the world — the writer behind Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers, Apples Never Fall and The Husband's Secret. Now, for the first time in her career, she's written a sequel: Big Little Truths, returning to Madeline, Celeste and the rest of the Big Little Lies world a decade on. In this conversation, Liane and Kate talk about why she avoided writing a sequel for so long, the pressure of returning to characters millions of readers already love, and the surreal experience of watching Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep bring her imagination to life on screen — including the story of how she wrote a role specifically for Meryl Streep before ever meeting her. They also get into Liane's family of writers (three of five sisters are published authors), her own breast cancer scare, marriage, motherhood, writing teenagers, envy as a creative motivator, and why — even after decades of success — she still braces for criticism before a single review is written.
