An Alternate Episode VIII.Ten years ago, in movie theaters down the street….Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens relaunched the franchise with insane box office returns, a galaxy load of goodwill, and the promise of questions answered in the NEXT episode. But many were bewildered by the path they wandered down in Episode VIII.Jedi Masters Matt and John, joined by their fellow Jedi Master Yancy, have meditated deeply to open the doorway of the past and explore what THE LAST JEDI could have been if they had been in the writers room. Removing racing stripes is the first change. When we made our announcement about Ever Reign last week, we managed to be confusing and got questions from some of our new readers and listeners. We also got a lot of enthusiastic comments about Caspian, Hermes and Illarion! OLD Dragon's Reign podcast (very amateur!): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_JkRUUTpxWH1A5DgXcc9wQnT8SogvRlB | COMPLETED Ever Dark podcast: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_JkRUUTpxWEyrsBZ-1iqSfgB-KfR3IuQ | Membership sale: https://raythereign.com/index.php/membership-plans | Ever Reign themed candle boxes: https://shop.raythereign.com/shop/ever-reign-celebration-launch-box/ | Answer to biggest question: Ever Reign is a WRITTEN SERIAL STORY on RaytheReign.com. It's text! Not audio. The same way every story starts out. | At this point, we don't have any plans on the schedule to make it an audio story in 2026. We've already gotten in trouble this year for "talking too far ahead" like a game studio, and then having to seriously rethink our plans. (Don't worry EDA is coming out in February.)

This is our spoiler-free review for Avatar: Fire and Ash. We return to Pandora to discuss the film's breathtaking visuals, massive scale, and the performances of key characters like Jake Sully and Neytiri, while also unpacking where it falls short. Despite its undeniable spectacle, the story leans heavily on familiar themes and conflicts, offering little meaningful progression, and the dialogue often feels clunky and on-the-nose. We also touch on how the focus on human characters can detract from the richness of Pandora itself. Ultimately, Avatar: Fire and Ash is stunning to watch, but leaves us wanting more from its storytelling.Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third film in the phenomenally successful “Avatar” franchise, opens exclusively in theatres worldwide December 19, 2025. Episode 180 of Kliq This bounces between old school habits and modern chaos, with Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver kicking things off on a very specific hill: paper tax documents, physical records, and why trusting everything to "the cloud" feels like inviting trouble. From there it turns into a surprisingly personal holiday conversation, with Kevin talking about why Christmas hits differently for him, and Sean pitching a very "classic TV special" solution that Kevin immediately wants no part of. It is funny, but it is also real in the way this show is at its best. Then the curtain pulls back on Kevin's at home setup and it becomes its own kind of comedy. Spotty cell reception, an ocean view bathroom routine, DirecTV, DVR logic, and a mindset that basically says if you can avoid leaving the house, you should. It is the most Kevin Nash segment possible. The back half goes everywhere in the best way. NFL misery, wrestling lore, commentary talk, and the kind of audience driven questions that send the conversation into unexpected lanes, including a game that absolutely sounds like it should not work on a wrestling podcast and somehow does. If you are in the 11SOFT Club, this one feels like hanging out in the room for the whole ride. We continue catching up with the legacy sequels of 2025 as we slice first and slice hard talking about Karate Kid: Legends. You'll hear the many questions we have about the opening of this film and if Mr. Han is, in fact, the legend Mr. Han we knew from 2010, the positive and negative reactions we had to this movie's time efficiency which oddly helps and hinders the picture and a chat about whether or not the movie got better right before the credits start when we finally see a character that made previous attempts to reengage with this franchise work. We break down Wicked: For Good, discussing the risks and rewards of splitting the beloved musical in two, whether Act Two can live up to expectations, and how the film handles its darker themes. From there, it's on to Guillermo del Toro's long-awaited Frankenstein — a visually rich, emotionally grounded take on the classic monster that puts empathy and tragedy front and centre. Finally, we hit the dystopian arena with Edgar Wright's The Running Man, asking whether this slick reimagining delivers Wright's trademark energy or feels restrained by the source material. Big adaptations, iconic monsters, and modern takes on classic stories — it's a packed episode of films worth arguing about. #NerdToKnowBasis,#Podcast,#PopCulture,#Wicked,#WickedForGood,#Frankenstein,#GuillermoDelToro,#TheRunningMan,#EdgarWright,#MovieReviews,#FilmPodcast,#SciFi,#Fantasy,#GeekCulture

New technology takes time to prove its worth. Jay and Chyenne Smith now have three grazing seasons' experience using Vence's virtual fence technology and they are convinced they will keep using it. Smiths initially used the Vence system to keep cattle out of the Moose Creek Fire burn area, thereby avoiding 2-3 years of non-use on the entire allotment (see episode 123). Since then, the other benefits of this animal tracking and distribution control system have proven valuable beyond mere exclusion. On this episode of The Commentary Booth, host Jamie Apps and Corrina Mabey tumble back into the world of the Toros, the Clovers, and the deeply cursed spirit stick to ask the only question that matters: Does this cheerleading classic still hold up?This iconic cheerleading movie from 2000 starring Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union has aged both brilliantly and problematically, and our hosts aren't holding back. What starts as a trip down memory lane quickly evolves into a deep dive into the film's lasting legacy, its problematic moments through a modern lens, and why it remains a defining teen movie of the 2000s.In this flashback episode, Jamie and Corrina dissect everything from the film's groundbreaking approach to cultural appropriation and LGBTQ+ representation to its cringeworthy moments that haven't aged well. They explore how this teen comedy inadvertently became a feminist statement piece while still being packed with questionable content like the sexualisation of high schoolers and outdated language.Highlights Breakdown: - Aging & Legacy: Does Bring It On hold up? A discussion on its groundbreaking themes (cultural appropriation, all-female leads) versus its many problematic elements (language, stereotypes, sexualisation). - Cast & Characters: From Kirsten Dunst's committed silliness to Gabrielle Union's star-making turn, and the bizarre phenomenon of 30-year-olds playing high schoolers. - The Problematic Stuff: Unpacking the film's use of homophobic slurs, body shaming, implied assault, and the infamous "bikini car wash." - Cheerleading Fact vs. Fiction: Why the movie's stunts are pure college-level fantasy, the real cost of Cherry Pie rights, and the hidden world of competitive cheer. - Sequels, Broadway, & Reboots: A rapid-fire tour through the Bring It On cinematic universe and its unlikely transition to a Lin-Manuel Miranda musical.Whether you're a die-hard Toros fan, a Clovers loyalist, or just love dissecting the movies of your youth, this episode is a spirited, no-holds-barred celebration and critique of a film that truly brought it.This week's episode is brought to you byAustralian Wrestling CardsCheck out more great content from Pario Magazine on our website.-------------------------------------------------------------SUPPORT PARIO MAGAZINE & THE COMMENTARY BOOTH- PATREON- BUY MERCH- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO- TUBEBUDDY- Subscribe to AEW Plus using my code (q0yydoz) to earn $10 in FITE credit- Shop Online With Honey- Shop Online With SatechiMY EQUIPMENT- Elgato Facecam- Rode PodMic- Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP- Streamlabs Talk StudioFOLLOW JAMIE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram- TikTokFOLLOW PARIO MAGAZINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram

Hollywood isn't finished with four different series that we've previously covered and our professionalism dictates it's time to take catch up and take care of some business. We start with the first movie released this year and possibly the number one of these films in our hearts with Final Destination: Bloodlines, released just this past May. You'll hear a lengthy conversation about this sequel's opening scene that we simply can't find a way to shut up about, how much respect we heap on the directors and Tony Todd for finding a way to give the veteran actor the perfect sendoff for the series and his life and how much glee we find in the movies refusal to let a single character off the hook from death's steely glare. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters Matt and Vicki S Kate Lampe Steve Weiss Matthew Aldrich Edward Lankford Heather Sahami

Season's Greetings dear listeners! We hope you find yourself enjoying these final weeks of 2025 and we are delighted to be a small part of that with a new episode for your ears. On this episode we revisited dead-end sequels, which is exactly like what it sounds like. A sequel that was the quick end of a potential franchise. This series frequently delivers some rough watches but occasionally the diamond in the rough as well. Wonder which happens this episode? Listen in as we examine at “Teen Wolf Too” (1987 – Vinny), “Stir of Echoes:The Homecoming” (2007 – Professor) and “Don't Breath 2” (2021 – Grizz). Available now on apple podcasts, Spotify and our blog. Thanks as always for sticking with us and Happy Holidays!
Episode 6: "Throw Your Spuds" - Classic Doctor Who Comics Double Feature - Patreon Exclusive COMIC STRIP REVIEW #1: "The Hijackers of Thrax" (March 1-15, 1965) TV Comic, Three Parts Writer/Artist: Neville Main The First Doctor, John, and Jillian investigate disappearing supply ships bound for Earth's Venus colony in 2075. Pirates operating from a hidden space station obscured by artificial clouds have been stealing shipments. The Doctor disables the cloaking device, exposing the hijackers' base and saving Earth's colonial supply line. Jim declares this his favorite of the three strips so far due to the Earth connection and clever cloud-station concept, while John finds all three equally unremarkable. The hosts remain baffled why the strip doesn't equally target boys and girls when the TV show clearly features prominent female characters like Barbara alongside the male cast. COMIC STRIP REVIEW #2: "Power Play" (February 13 - March 5, 1965) TV Century 21, Three Parts Writer: David Whitaker (from Terry Nation's plot) Artist: Richard Jennings The Daleks face their next evolutionary step - getting off Skaro! After the radioactive devastation, two warring human factions on Skaro seek allies. The Daleks strategically align with one group against their aggressors, not out of compassion but calculated self-interest. By story's end, the Daleks possess plans for flying saucers - directly setting up their appearance in "The Dalek Invasion of Earth" TV serial. John liked this installment as much or more than "Genesis of Evil," appreciating how it serves TV continuity while telling compelling standalone stories. Jim loves the symbiosis between source material and offshoot when done correctly. LOOKING AHEAD: Next Doctor Who comic: Sequel to "The Web Planet" featuring the Zarbi! The hosts are curious whether this represents BBC pushing the Zarbi as "the next Daleks" after their expensive costume investment, or editorial response to reader demands for more TV show connections Next Dalek comic: "Duel of the Daleks" promises intrigue Jim has started reading a First Doctor prose novel for future Patreon discussion The hosts debate whether kids recognized the strips' disconnection from the TV series, and wonder about the demographics of British comics magazines in 1965. Was it primarily boys despite Doctor Who's mixed-gender appeal? Subscribe to The Doctor's Beard Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, and all major podcast platforms. Nahum is the sequel to the book of Jonah. Assyria, whose capital was Nineveh, was exceptionally bloodthirsty and evil. The repentance there under Jonah was unprecedented and never repeated anywhere. God used Nahum to predict the total destruction of the city which returned to wickedness: Nahum 1:1 (LSB): "The oracle of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite." From the few things Nahum writes which allow us to zero in on the timing, it appears it was only 20 to 50 years from Nahum's prophecy until the total destruction of Nineveh. There's nothing complicated in Nahum, just the sober and straightforward word from God that He was going to judge the evil nation Assyria and her capital Nineveh for idolatry and cruelty. The repentance of the Ninevites was genuine–Jesus Himself said so. But alas, as majestic as was the glory of God's grace showered upon Nineveh in the days of Jonah, genuine faith in the true God waned in the following generations. Old patterns resurfaced. Assyria crumbled from within because they spurned God and forfeited His blessings. It's interesting that God didn't tell Jonah what was ultimately going to happen to Nineveh. God knew all about it, but it wasn't Jonah's place to know. Remember that! Living by faith does not come with details about what's going to happen. You need to seek God's wisdom, make your choices, and trust Him to work through them. God does not owe you explanations. The opening line in the trailer to the movie sequel to Jonah would be "Nahum: God's Vengeance" if not "Nineveh: The Sequel." 1 - Wrath Is Poured Out Like Fire (Ch 1) 2 - Behold, I Am Against You (Ch 2) 3 - Your Wound Is Incurable (Ch 3)

Pete Hegseth has been no stranger to drama during his tenure as Defense secretary, with a steady stream of headlines following him since his nomination. But perhaps the most notable fiasco was the “Signalgate” incident, in which Hegseth shared detailed military plans in a group chat of administration officials — and one stray journalist. Today, the Pentagon inspector general's report of the incident is set to be released. Playbook's Jack Blanchard and White House Bureau Chief Dasha Burns unpack what we already know, and what to expect.
Mary hosts another fabulous lunch at Valter's in Salt Lake City, complete with red carpet and fighting fish. On the agenda is the ongoing quest to resolve the mid-air conflict between Meredith and Britani, despite Britani not being invited. Lisa and Meredith continue to alienate themselves from the group by presenting different recollections of what happened on the plane but they quickly realize the group won't be swayed and insists on an apology to Britani. Then the episode goes from traumatic situation to traumatic situation, Britani and her daughter Olivia in therapy, Bronwyn discussing the loneliness she feels knowing her daughter and mother will soon be moving out, and Heather showing the world a very disturbing mattress. By the end, we finally get to see Meredith summoning Britani to delver a quasi-apology and let's hope it puts the issue to bed, on a clean mattress.
