I'm reminded of the scripture that says deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow me. Jesus said this to his disciples. He's also telling us the same thing to deny ourselves and follow him. We can seem like we can do it all and then we fail and fail again. You might say but wait why? Because we put our hope and trust in ourselves or in something else other than the Creator God who is a Good Father and wants the best for you and for me.
