Many believers know that God is holy, just, and righteous, but sometimes forget how deeply He loves His people. In this message from Song of Solomon 4:7-9, Pastor Byron Chesney examines God's love for His redeemed children, His intimate knowledge of their lives, His desire for fellowship with them, and His delight in those who belong to Him. A comforting reminder that God's love is everlasting, unchanging, and greater than our failures.

Michael welcomes CCEF faculty member and counselor Mike Emlet, who has served at CCEF since 2001 and previously trained and worked in family medicine before attending Westminster Seminary. Emlet and the Michael discuss how mental health concerns have grown in prominence in the church, influenced by factors like the pandemic and social media, and why a biblical approach must be holistic, recognizing humans as embodied souls affected by the fall in both body and heart. They warn against extremes of over-spiritualizing mental illness or reducing it to biology, and they challenge the church's tendency to abdicate care to outside experts while affirming the need for professional help in severe cases. Emlet commends a hopeful yet humble posture, careful listening beyond diagnostic labels, and using the “saint, sufferer, sinner” framework to move toward and care for people.00:00 Podcast Welcome01:00 Meet Mike Emlet02:55 Mental Health Landscape05:46 Embodied Souls Balance08:42 Church Role in Care10:46 Hopeful Humble Posture12:57 Saint Sufferer Sinner14:34 Why He Wrote It16:44 Meeting Suffering First19:41 Listen and Move Toward21:22 Closing ThanksEpisode MentionsCCEF Saints, Sufferers, Sinners: Loving Others as God Loves Us

You may have heard people in church say, "Jesus is the Word of God," but they also say, "The Bible is the Word of God." The Bible itself refers to Jesus as the "Word of God." How are those things both true? Kaitlyn's explains how the term "Word of God" is used throughout the Bible, the debates around the Greek word for "word," and how we interpret scripture to define important terms. 0:00 - Theme Song 1:00 - Why are Jesus and Scripture Both Called the Word of God? 4:30 - Translating "Logos" 10:20 - Sponsor - With & For: Psychology and Spirituality for Thriving Podcast. This is message 28 in Gospel Record of John John 9:1-7 Human suffering is often misunderstood as something to explain or assign blame, but in God's hands it becomes a setting for His power and purpose to be revealed. What appears to be a lifelong limitation can be part of a greater design where Christ makes Himself known. He alone brings true light, opening not only physical eyes but spiritual understanding, and calls for a response of faith and obedience. In every hardship, the greater question is not why it happened, but how God will use it to reveal His glory and draw hearts to Himself. This is message 4 in Understanding the Love of God Lamentations 3:22-36 Even in the darkest seasons of loss, suffering, and disappointment, hope is not found in circumstances but in the unchanging character of God. His mercy holds back the judgment we deserve, His compassion never fails, and His faithfulness never wavers. When everything else seems stripped away, the Lord Himself remains enough. Those who remember who God is, wait on Him, and trust His purpose discover that He has not abandoned them. What happens when a $2 billion CEO walks away from corporate success to serve former gang members? Thomas Vozzo faced exactly that choice. After 26 years in the for-profit world, he chose Homeboy Industries over another lucrative CEO role—knowing he was "burning bridges." At Homeboy, Tom discovered profound truths. "God is too busy loving us to judge us," he learned, not intellectually but viscerally, surrounded daily by 500 people healing from complex trauma. He watched former gang members flourish when given 8, 9, 10 chances. The stress was greater, but the joy ran deeper. His journey challenges everything we're taught to value, revealing that authentic success means finding joy through serving others, not chasing titles.Thomas J. Vozzo is an author, speaker, and former Fortune 200 executive who served 26 years in the for-profit world before becoming CEO of Homeboy Industries, the world's largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry organization. As Homeboy's first CEO, Tom brought transformational leadership, quadrupling the organization's size, growing the annual budget from $11M to $50M, and helping 10,000 people annually. Currently serving as Senior Advisor, Tom promotes from within—70% of leadership are former clients. Instead, it offers reassurance that God never abandons His children. He is present, aware, and working for good in the lives of all whom He loves—including your loved ones.God is not an all-or-nothing God. His love is constant, inclusive, and relentless. September 29 2025 Monday Your Words Matter / Week 35 God Loves Us As Much As He Loves Jesus #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word.  That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT  'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.'  Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. In the last episode, we talked about CBD as a methylation adaptogen, but we haven' talked too much about that term so let's dive in. We know that everyday methylation is important for people with the MTHFR gene or with any methylation dysfunction, but it turns out that long-term methylation care is important too and this can be achieved by getting methylation adaptogens.Methylation adaptogens are substances that help to regulate the amount your genes are methylated. Remember that when genes are methyalted, they are turned off and when they are unmethylated they are turned on. So having stretches of your genome that are undermethylated means the genes in there are allowed to function out of control, and that could lead to bigger problems like cancer.Methylating your genes appropriately is one of the long-term ways to prevent disease and even benefit your children, because research has shown that the way you methylate your genes might pass to your children. Not just the genes themselves, but the methylation tags. The most researched compounds that have been called methylation adaptogens come from food sources - things like caffeic acid from coffee and cruciferous veggies, lycopene from tomatoes and watermelon, resveratrol from red wine.
