This morning we hear from Pastor Leland for the last time as his season as pastor of this church draws to a close. Towards the end of our time, Area Pastor Tim Poetzl shares a little bit about what is next for Whatcom Foursquare and prays for Pastor Leland and his family as he steps into a new role as a District Administrator in our denomination.
As we begin the month of August, we get to receive communion together and continue learning from the life of David. Pastor Sean Nault from Hub City Church (Burlington, WA) shares about David and an opportunity he had to show mercy to King Saul. (1 Samuel 24)
This Sunday we spend time looking at the life of David and his short battle with Goliath! There is a lot that we can learn from his life about the Lord and about our own lives, as well. (1 Samuel 17)
We are taking a break from our series learning from the life of David to hear from our guest speaker, Pastor Brad Barshaw. (Philippians 2)
Together we learn about friendship while hearing about the lives of David and Jonathan from guest speaker Sean Nault (pastor of Hub City Church in Burlington, WA).
Together we get to continue our look at the life of David. Reading from 1 Samuel 16:14-23, we see God at work in his life in a pretty amazing way!

We took a break from our study if the book of James and gathered for a time of praise and prayer. This was a great time to pray over the church and our community in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic.

We continue our series of weeks studying the Book of James. As we look at the joy to be had in facing trials, we learn 3 things that the Lord offers in the midst of them. The podcast picks up after a brief introduction and having read James 1:1-4... having read these verses, we began talking about the fact that, for James, trials/hardship aren't a sign of something wrong, but that one is headed in their chosen direction towards Jesus. On August 4, we got to hear from guest speaker Pastor Tim Nigro as he continued our series exploring the parables of Jesus. Unfortunately, the message wasn't recorded correctly that morning. That being said, we are able to share this recording of a very similar message from the same passage that he shared at his home church (Living Word - Oak Harbor) the week before. (Luke 14:16-24)
