Send us a textThe devotion for today, Friday, October 24, 2025 was written by Reed Kirkman and is narrated by Adam Carter. Today's Words of Inspiration come from 2 Timothy 3:10-15  You, however, have followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, and endurance. You know the persecutions and sufferings I have endured, and yet the Lord rescued me from them all. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will face persecution, while evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the sacred scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Like fish taken in a cruel net, and like birds caught in a snare, so mortals are snared at a time of calamity, when it suddenly falls upon them.I have also seen this example of wisdom under the sun, and it seemed important to me. There was a little city with few people in it. A great king came against it and besieged it, building great siege works against it. Now there was found in it a poor, wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that poor man. So, I said, ‘Wisdom is better than might; yet the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heeded.'The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouting of a ruler among fools. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. Send us a textThe devotion for today, Tuesday, August 19, 2025 was written by Weber Baker and is narrated by Jay Williams. Today's Words of Inspiration come from Acts 7: 44-53Our ancestors had the tent of testimony in the wilderness, as God directed when he spoke to Moses, ordering him to make it according to the pattern he had seen.  Our ancestors in turn brought it in with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations that God drove out before our ancestors. And it was there until the time of David, who found favor with God and asked that he might find a dwelling-place for the house of Jacob. But it was Solomon who built a house for him.  Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says,“Heaven is my throne,    and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord,    or what is the place of my rest? Did not my hand make all these things?” ‘You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you are forever opposing the Holy Spirit, just as your ancestors used to do.  Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, and now you have become his betrayers and murderers.  You are the ones that received the law as ordained by angels, and yet you have not kept it.'
