The origin story of Brandon Breyer, aka Brightburn, is not unfamiliar to audiences; the difference lies in the actions of perhaps horror's first great supervillain. In this episode, Barnabas and Samael review the highly anticipated and unique horror production. Will "Brightburn" and its super-evil-boy cement their place in the genre? The wrap-around segments take a mind-altering turn, featuring scuzzy number "Brain Damage" and the hot new thriller "The Perfection!"
The Breyers are a happy family. 10 years ago, the husband (David Denman) and wife (Elizabeth Banks) find a mysterious baby in an alien spacecraft in their woods. That baby has now become their child Brandon (Jackson A. Dunn). But instead of being the heroic Superman, Brandon Breyer has become something... different. In this episode, Gerrit and Mike watch "Brightburn," a completely different take on the martian from Krypton story. Produced by James Gunn (of "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Slither" fame), it's one of the hosts' most anticipated movies. But is this film any good? Take a listen to find out! This is my spoiler review of the movie BrightburnSo I went to see the film based on the premise that it was going to be a twist on Superman. You know, a boy from outerspace winds up on earth, raised by loving parents. So the movie spends a lot of time developing the character's, Brandon Breyer's story. How he was raised from childhood in a loving home. His parents played by Elizabeth Banks and David Denman essentially play the role of Martha and Jonathan Kent. They really played it well and you really start to love the family. He is played by Jacskon A Dunn.
@caracoldepeli
