Something different in this weeks special episode, where I'm the guest - not the host! Amazing dog trainer Jamie Gerald invited me to join her international dog trainer book club to talk about my very first book, How to Be Your Dog's Superhero. What followed was a fantastic discussion about why real connection beats control, and how playing with your dog (yes, on your hands and knees!) can radically transform behaviour and bond. I share the story behind writing the book, the early mistakes I made as a dog walker, and why building a superhero-level relationship with your dog starts by being the most fun thing in their world. Tune in to discover: • Back to Basics – Why even advanced trainers benefit from revisiting playful foundations. • Your Dog Only Needs One Friend – Forget the dog park drama—be the relationship that matters most. • Motivation Matters – From Yorkshire puddings to toilet paper tubes, find what really drives your dog. • Ditch the Drill Sergeant – A loving connection trumps strict commands every time. • Play is the Game Changer – How hands-on interaction at home builds trust and transforms training. If you ever find yourself biting your tongue when someone brings up pack theory, dominance, or the whole alpha dog thing, then you'll enjoy this expert chat about the joy and benefits of simply having fun with dogs... This week on *Oooh They Funny*, we dive headfirst into four wild, funny, and real conversations that'll have you nodding, laughing, and questioning everything. First up, we revisit the case of the infamous Terrell dentist—yes, he's STILL out here lurking, and somehow he's never done a day in jail. We break down how predators slip through the cracks, the justice system's failures, and what real consequences should look like. Next, we switch it up and laugh at ourselves while unpacking the dumbest lies we believed as kids—from gum in your stomach for seven years to the moon following you around. Then, we call out these new “luxury” side hustles charging designer prices with no track record—your cookies ain't Gucci, fam. We also get into the hilarious and frustrating differences in how men and women communicate—statements vs. questions—and how it leads to unnecessary beef. Plus, you don't wanna miss **Part 3 of Story Time**, where things take another crazy turn. Tap in, laugh with us, and let us know which part had you yelling at your phone.

Talking Trash is a show to discuss movies that some people deem to be garbage, mediocre or just one that people never knew existed, we talk through the plot in spoiler fashion while asking "is this a bad movie?" And if not "what is the worst movie ever made?"It's April, and we've decided to celebrate national super hero day by watching a bunch of low rated comic book flicks and giving them a chance. The second movie of the month is the Japanese superhero "Hentai Kamen" or as its known in America "HK forbidden superhero" a movie about a guy who gets his super powers from wearing used panties on his head. Yeah, you read that right. The only question is, will Jo be able to get over seeing a naked male superheroes "chicken nugget" body and review this wisely?Music by Karl Casey @whitebataudio on Instagram and YouTube. You can find us on Instagram @justanothermovienight and @thecraftymisfitNew episode every Tuesday. Thanks for listening! Send us a textOn the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are teaming up to prevent an immortal madman from killing loads of innocent people. We watched the 2012 film from Lauren Montgomery, Justice League: Doom. This film presents one of the great moral questions of our time: is Batman right to keep secret tabs on all the other superpowered heroes in the Justice League? Or is he a jackass for even trying? No one would blame him for doing that with the scores of baddies they all face. That's just good hero-ing. But with Superman? Wonder Woman? This is the sort of question that's liable to keep a person up at night (and should be taught in philosophy classes).Listen on to hear how we feel. Also there's a lot of marveling (no pun intended) about this excellent film. We've passed 500 episodes so we decide to do another round of "Does This Count As a Horror Movie?" Thanks to the popularity of Evil Dead 2, Sam Raimi was able to follow it up with this original Superhero film inspired by Universal Monsters and the radio drama The Shadow. Between obvious homages to Phantom of the Opera and Invisible Man and the evil being played by Larry Drake we feel pretty confident saying this counts! Learn more about your ad choices. Everyone knows that Batman's personal trauma—seeing his parents murdered in front of him—was what motivated him to become a superhero. And we too can transform the suffering we have gone through into compassion and action for others. In this episode, we explore how asylum seekers and refugees might become star volunteers, as they grow through their pain to reach out to others. In Cork, Ireland, we accompany volunteers on their first steps of friendship towards refugees. And we also meet two refugees who have found fulfillment—and a vocation—in serving their cities.
