Chromez had a great conversation with Chanda Mbao on this episode of the podcast. He is a Zambian rapper that spent a lot of his time outside his country which was a great thing for him because he got exposed to different cultures that can be heard in his music. Chanda Mbao says he doesn’t swear in his music because his family listens to it and he doesn’t want it to be a part of his legacy. He blew up in a way that made it seem like it was overnight success, which has affected him in both positive and negative ways. Chanda Mbao grew up with a single mom and he explained how that shaped the person he is today. He also talked about how his accent has affected the way people treat him, especially the gate keepers.
