This week, Luke Bentham of The Dirty Nil sits in to break down the writing and recording of their 2018 single "That's What Heaven Feels Like," a punchy, riff-driven anthem from the album Master Volume. Luke shares the clear memory of writing the song and talks about drawing inspiration from classic rock icons like Queen and Joan Jett, while also staying true to the band's raw, high-energy identity. He discusses working with producer John Goodmanson to refine the arrangement without compromising the band's vision, dialing in powerful Les Paul/Marshall tones, and intentionally leaving the guitar solo unpolished to preserve its edge. From lyrical themes that capture the thrill of nightlife to unique vocal arrangements and harmonies, this episode offers a great look into a track that helped define a new era for The Dirty Nil. Your Daily Prayer Podcast

Grace is one of God’s greatest gifts—completely unearned, freely given, and available for us each day. Yet, when we mess up, fall short, or feel unworthy, it can be difficult to accept His grace for ourselves. We replay our mistakes, carry the weight of condemnation, and struggle to forgive ourselves. In our daily prayer and devotional, recall that the Bible reminds us that God’s grace is abundant and never runs dry. Isaiah 26:3-4 promises perfect peace for those who trust Him, while 2 Timothy 1:9 reminds us that God called us to a holy life not because of anything we’ve done, but because of His purpose and grace. If today you feel like grace is in short supply, lean on Jesus’ finished work at the cross. His grace is sufficient for every weakness and every failure. Main Takeaways Grace is unearned favor — not based on our performance but on Christ’s sacrifice. God’s Word calls us to let go of condemnation and rest in His forgiveness. When we feel depleted, we can pray for His Spirit to fill us with peace and strength. We are reminded that all have sinned (Romans 3:23), but in Christ, we live under His covering of grace. Bible Verse References Isaiah 26:3-4 – Perfect peace for those who trust in the Lord. 2 Timothy 1:9 – Grace given through Christ before the beginning of time. Romans 3:23 – All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Calls to Action (CTAs) Subscribe to Your Daily Prayer to receive encouragement rooted in Scripture every morning. The family are well loved and having no known enemies could this be a random robbery gone bad? Except money was left, the killer stayed for hours after killing father Mikio, mother Yaskuo, daughter Ninna and son Rei, ate food from their kitchen, used their bathroom leaving excrement in the toilet, left a duffel bag with evidence which leads back to a military base in California, used the families knives to kill them and even left a body imprint on the couch and carpeting where he took a nap. Summary Have you ever wrapped up your workday thinking, “I've been busy all day, but I'm not sure I actually made anything better”? If so, you're not alone, and today's guests are here to help you break that cycle. In this episode, Andy talks with Don Kieffer and Nelson Repenning, co-authors of the new book There's Got to Be a Better Way. Don is a former Harley-Davidson executive who led during some of the company's most challenging years. Nelson is a professor at MIT Sloan who studies why well-intended management tools often fail in practice. Together, they're helping leaders rethink how work actually gets done. In the conversation, you'll learn why so many teams get stuck in firefighting mode, and why that's often not a people issue but a systems issue. You'll hear how to spot the “firefighter-arsonist” pattern, why problem-solving starts with problem-finding, and what it means to “design for discovery.” We also talk about Agile, Lean, invisible handoffs, and even how these ideas apply to family life. If you're looking for insights on how to make your team's work more effective, sustainable, and human-centered, this episode is for you! Sound Bites “Most performance problems are not people problems. They're design problems.” “You get what you design for. And most work isn't designed at all. It just kind of happens.” “Firefighting is not a character flaw. It's a predictable output of a broken system.” “If you don't make the work visible, you can't improve it.” “When no one owns the handoff, it's not really a handoff. It's a drop.” “Success should be easy. That doesn't mean the work isn't hard, but the path to doing it well should be clear.” “Discovery isn't luck. The clarity came. The decision was made. You expected peace to follow.Instead, what followed was… resistance. In this episode of Identity-Level Recalibration, Julie Holly unpacks why growth often feels harder after you've said yes to what's right.Your nervous system isn't broken — it's adjusting. You'll learn how resistance often isn't a red flag but a clue that your identity is outpacing your old protective programming. When a responsible, caring, much loved mother, sister, daughter, friend does not show up after a "camping" trip with a co-worker to pick up her only beloved daughter Patti's sister knows something is very, very wrong. Patricia Adkins was a motivated, ambitious single mother who had a supportive family to help out with child care occasionally and a house full of pets she treated better than most people treat their human family. She rose through the ranks at Honda of America in Central Ohio to become a shift supervisor and treated everyone like a mother hen. Patti didn't have much time for romance, raising her daughter, working hard, etc. When she found an emotional connection with a co-worker that became something more she had no idea it would change or end her life. While Patti is still considered a "missing" person its pretty clear what happened. Hear her story here. The fear of being seen stops us from going after our dreams. But the fear of being seen as an “influencer” is preventing you from making an impact, which is what you really want to do. Our favorite online personalities make an impact on us. It's time to let go of your fear and build the online business you'll be proud of.    Lissette Calveiro is a Latina entrepreneur, content creator, and business coach for influencers and personal brands navigating the creator economy with intention. As the founder of Influence With Impact®, she leads a creator-first consultancy offering business coaching, talent management, and strategic education to help creators turn influence into income without losing the human behind the brand. With over a decade in the creator economy, Lissette is also a seasoned influencer marketing expert who has managed more than $5 million in brand partnerships across CPG, finance, lifestyle, and tech. She has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and Fortune, and is a speaker who brings real talk and real strategy to every stage, including VidCon, Instagram Creator Week, Create and Cultivate, Google HQ, and the White House's first Creator Economy Summit. She is known for bridging the gap between creators and the industry, bringing transparency to monetization, negotiation, and sustainable growth. Offline, you'll find her sipping iced matcha, singing with her daughter, starting another DIY home project, or being loud (on purpose) about the issues that matter to her community.   In this week's episode, Lissette tells us all about how she built her online business with influence and impact. At first, she was afraid of starting her own business. She even once claimed that she's never been a business owner. But she saw a lack of creator advocacy in influencing marketing spaces and wanted to change that. Now she's sharing everything she knows about influencer marketing - including contract details, creator rates, and how to get started as a new creator.
