Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said in a July 7 interview with podcast host Russell Brand that he still doesn't know why the company announced it was parting ways with him earlier this year. In a brief news release issued in late April, Fox News said that it had parted ways with Mr. Carlson despite his nightly show being one of the top-rated programs in cable news. The United States will send “cluster munitions” to Ukraine in its ongoing fight to drive Russian forces out of the country. Colin H. Kahl, under secretary of defense for policy, said the United States has agreed to provide the controversial munitions after determining they have a “dud rate” of 2.5 percent and getting assurances from Ukrainian leaders on how the weapons will be used. U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said China and the United States should compete based on a “fair set of rules,” defending Washington's policies against the communist regime's continued unfair trade practices on the second day of her diplomatic trip to Beijing. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has requested a briefing over cocaine found at the White House.
