The Chinese Communist Party has been waging war against the US since it came to power in 1949. Part of the problem with the US response is that it doesn't see itself as being at war with China. In this episode of China Unscripted, we discuss China's smokeless war against the US, how China could cripple the US with the press of a button, and how the US can fight back. Joining us in this episode is Bill Holstein, co-author of the new book “Battlefield Cyber: How China and Russia are Undermining Our Democracy and National Security.”
In November 2021, Delta-Montrose Electric Association was hit with a ransomware attack that quickly spread through the co-op's network and took over key systems like phone and email, customer information and meter data management. It took months of work to re-create and restore DMEA's network, build new cyber protections and get back to a new normal. Hear from DMEA Chief Information Officer Bob Farmer and IT Manager Jay Suckey on the details of the attack and the valuable lessons learned.
The rise and fall of Morgan Khan's Street Sounds (Part 1) The Black Spy Podcast Season 11 Episode 0005 This week's and next week's Black Spy Podcast features the rise, fall and rebirth of Morgan Khan, the legendary music mogul and entrepreneur who played a pivotal role in introducing various genres of black and urban music to the UK and Europe. Morgan was the founder of Street Sounds, a record label that launched in 1982 and became the market leader of compilation albums, featuring the best of electro, hip-hop, house, and other styles of street music. Morgan was ahead of his time, licensing tracks from the US that were otherwise unavailable or expensive for UK consumers. He also discovered and developed many successful artists, such as Imagination, Jamiroquai, Dina Carroll, and Humanoid. We hear how Morgan worked with most of the major record companies and music publishers and hear how the anti Black racism of the industry executives, 99% White, failed to support Black artists to anything like the same degree as they did White artists. In addition to his Street Sounds label Morgan had success in producing and promoting events and concerts. He is credited as pioneering electro/hip-hop, house, hip house and acid music in Europe. Morgan's contribution to the music industry is exceptional and his influence is still felt today. Once again the Black Spy Podcast brings you a major contributor to the global cultural scene and hence the geo-political nuances of our time. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2: The author of “Gender Queer” said that the book is not meant for children. The book gained notoriety when, earlier this month, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) read several, graphic passages from the book during a Senate hearing on “anti-book ban” legislation. Earlier in the week, a missing Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II valued at $90 million was located. The stealth jet went missing after a pilot was forced to eject over North Carolina—a debris field has been spotted in Williamsburg County. We now have incredible audio of the pilot calling 9-1-1 and speaking to a very confused emergency operator. The Daily Caller's Malik Lahrim spoke with people on the streets of Washington D.C.—asking liberals to explain why people “can change gender” but not change races. The answers are unsurprisingly hilarious. Dr. Victoria Coates— Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss a Washington Post report indicating that the Biden Administration will provide the Ukrainian military with long-range missiles. The missiles will now allow Ukraine to strike Russian-held territories. Will this lead to a massive escalation in warfare? Plus, in an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman said if Iran gets a nuclear weapon, “so will we.” Dr. Coates is the author of “David's Sling: A History of Democracy in Ten Works of Art.” You can find her book here: https://www.amazon.com/Davids-Sling-History-Democracy-Works/dp/1594037213 In a video that has gone viral on social media, Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy confronts Washington Post journalist Emily Heil over a “hit piece” she wrote about him—the article was published on Friday.
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (09/22/2023): 3:05pm- Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Robert Menendez (D-NJ) has been charged with accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes in exchange for providing Egypt with “sensitive U.S. government information.” During a Friday press conference announcing a three-count indictment, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams explained that federal prosecutors found $500,000 in cash, as well as gold bars, in Sen. Menendez' home—some of which contained fingerprints or DNA of Fred Daibes, a real estate developer also accused of bribing Menendez and his wife Nadine. According to The New York Times, Daibes pled guilty to financial crimes in 2022. Senator Menendez and his wife have both denied the criminal conduct alleged by prosecutors. You can read more about the story here: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/22/nyregion/robert-menendez-indicted.html 3:30pm- Attorney Scott Coffina—former Burlington County Prosecutor and former Associate Counsel to President George W. Bush—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to react to the indictment of Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and his wife, Nadine, on bribery charges. Coffina believes that Nadine's alleged text messages with Wael Hana, who has been charged with conspiracy to commit bribery, may be difficult for the defense to explain away. Will this indictment impact Sen. Menendez' intention to run for reelection in 2024? 3:45pm- Despite an inability to prevent illegal migration along the U.S. Southern border, the Biden Administration has announced it will grant “legal status” to 470,000 Venezuelans who entered the U.S. unlawfully. You can read more here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/2023/09/20/border-influx-migrants-biden/ 3:55pm- During Friday's briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked how she could consider the Biden Administration's response to illegal immigration along the U.S. Southern border a “success” when 10,000 people are crossing unlawfully every day. Incredibly, she blamed Republicans. Similarly, while speaking at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's 46th Annual Awards Gala, President Joe Biden blamed “MAGA Republicans” for “gutting the immigration system” and undermining border security. 4:05pm- The author of “Gender Queer” said that the book is not meant for children. The Oslo Accords, signed 30 years ago, were a seminal development in Israel-Palestinian relations. In today's podcast, INSS researcher Adi Kantor sits down with Dr. Anat Kurz, senior researcher and director of research at INSS and editor of INSS Insight, Col. (res.) Adv. Pnina Sharvit Baruch, senior researcher and head of the INSS Program on Law and National Security, and Brig. Gen. (res.) Udi Dekel, who served as Managing Director of INSS for ten years and currently heads the INSS Program on the Palestinian Arena. Together they examine the core principles of the Oslo Accords and ask: what is left of these principles today? Did they fail in the long run, or have some remained valid on the ground? How did Israel move from “making peace” toward “managing the conflict”? What threats confront what is left of the agreements? And finally: what can still be done to stop the dangerous slide into a one-state reality?

In October 2022, President Biden issued an executive order regarding the European Union - U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The Framework allows for data flows between the EU and the U.S., and it was established after the European Court of Justice struck down a prior agreement known as the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. The executive order addresses U.S. collection of signals intelligence, which has been a source of concern for EU regulators and privacy advocates. The executive order limits signals intelligence collection to defined national security objectives, requires the privacy and civil liberties of all persons be considered regardless of nationality, and the collection must be proportionate. In addition, the executive order calls for a multi-layered review process that will allow individuals to lodge complaints regarding the collection of signals intelligence. Our experts will discuss whether the Framework addresses the concerns of privacy advocates in the EU and the U.S., and they will consider the implications of the review process for U.S. intelligence collection. This program will also explore whether the EU and U.S. can reach a durable privacy agreement given the tension between EU privacy preferences and U.S. national security needs.Featuring:- Stewart Baker, Of Counsel, Steptoe & Johnson LLP- Max Schrems, Founder, NOYB- [Moderator] Matthew R. As usual, it's on Stigall to bring up topics no-one else in media seems to think worthy of simple questions. This week, its a missing Marine jet that's now led to a two day, global grounding of all Marine aircraft. National Security Editor at Breitbart - John Hayward unpacks this story with Stigall as well as the Husk's deal with Iran for Hostages, China on the brink of economic collapse, and the UN General Assembly meeting this week. Lots of John Fetterman dress code talk in the last 24 hours which leads Stigall to conclude there's a reason more than comfort for it. Today's show opens with a Pentagon study finding serious concerns about current and past clearance holders having dementia. When we have examples of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell freezing on camera, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) being told just say “aye” and President Joe Biden making gaffe after gaffe, it's no wonder there is a concern about mental competency. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) informed us that the Biden regime didn't release just $6 billion dollars to Iran but actually $16 billion. Biden has put a kidnapping target on the backs of every overseas American. I then remind you of an inconvenient fact Dr. Fauci had to confront in late 2021 about natural immunity being as good as, if not better than, protection from the Covid vaxx. The initial Israeli study has been replicated 65 times across 19 other countries, all with the same conclusion. Yet, the new CDC Director, Mandy Cohen wants to know how they can rehabilitate their image? She asks this right after saying the CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get the new booster for the fall/winter. This also gives us a moment of levity to play a parody song from Jim Gossett called, “Kung Flu Lying.” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stated over the weekend that just Biden's own admission of having Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired is proof he changed US foreign policy for money. I've been saying this all along. Hunter Biden's lawyers have a new strategy, now. They plan to go on the attack in scorched-Earth fashion. Constitutional expert Jonathan Turley writes a piece about this in the NY Post. It's interesting to see this fourth attempt to present a new image of Hunter Biden to the country. Finally, I address my thoughts on Rep. Lauren Boebert's actions from over the weekend. Constitutionalists have to remember, there is always a target on our backs and cameras everywhere. The will resort to lying and making up stories about us, so don't aid them by giving them real actions to use against us. It's a harsh lesson to learn, but one I hope she heeds in the future. This week, A'ndre spoke with Courtney Weatherby, the Deputy Director of the Stimson Center's Southeast Asia Program and a Research Analyst with the Energy, Water, & Sustainability program, on the intersection of water insecurity and conflict, with a particular focus on the Mekong River Dispute. Courtney discusses the connection between water and national security, and how water insecurity, while not often a direct driver of war, can be a tension point underlying a broader conflict. We briefly discuss how countries approach the sharing of water resources, and why energy security and food security are vitally linked to water security. We then focus on the Mekong River Dispute, talking about how China's actions in building dams on the river have affected countries downstream, leading to significant tensions.
