Badlands Book Club Ep. 5: Government Gangsters by Kash Patel – Chapters 10 & 11

Badlands Media

In this riveting installment of Badlands Book Club, CannCon and Ashe in America dig into Chapters 10 and 11 of Government Gangsters by Kash Patel, peeling back the curtain on one of the Trump administration's most iconic military wins, the raid that eliminated ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and the bureaucratic sabotage that constantly threatened to derail victories like it. Chapter 10, “The Good,” showcases the bold operation in Syria, from Patel's behind-the-scenes work to the last-minute tension with Russia and the iconic “level that thing” moment ordered by Trump. The hosts analyze the raid's execution, the shady absences of Gina Haspel, and Mark Esper's bizarre uninvited arrival. They spotlight how President Trump empowered decisive action while dodging a minefield of leakers, bad actors, and intelligence community obstruction. Chapter 11, “The Bad,” contrasts this success with deep state slow-walking, stonewalling, and silent insubordination. From Trump's push for declassification to Patel's battles with Coats, Haspel, and Esper, the chapter reads like a playbook on how the administrative state resisted Trump at every turn, and how Patel fought back with grit and tactical precision. From real-time analysis to poignant reflections on Trump's leadership style, Melania's surprising behind-the-scenes role, and the intelligence community's ongoing duplicity, this episode delivers insight, fire, and fierce optimism for what comes next.

PSST! Get your free Noble Energy Wellness Map (Four Worlds HD chart) here https://www.nobleenergymaps.com/get-your-energy-map/    Today, we're talking to the incredible Dr. Eleanor-Haspel Portner, the founder of the Four Worlds System, creator of Noble Energy Wellness Maps, and the author of (among MANY books) “Beyond Human Design: Turbocharge Your Practice With Integrated Channels In All Four Worlds.”    Dr. Eleanor Haspel-Portner passionately synthesizes areas of esoteric wisdom and scientific discovery. Her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago gives her a unique integrative background and perspective in helping her clients manifest their dream lives.   She also personally knew, learned from, and worked with Ra Uru Hu – who she helped create the Dream Rave and verify Human Design scientifically in the 1990s. During her research, she found which parts held up (and which didn't), and more importantly, she realized that the system seemed to be incomplete.    As a result, she created the Four Worlds system to help create a fully integrated chart and help people live at their highest potential with their designs.   Dr. Eleanor is, IMHO, an integral part of the story of Human Design. She's also someone I respect a lot – so I'm stoked to share her with you today!   THE GOODS  Dr. Eleanor's Story: Studying psychology at University of Chicago, meeting Osho in India, learning astrology, and working with/forming a friendship with Ra Some truths about Ra and the creation of Human Design that are *really important* to keep in mind when learning HD Which parts of HD hold up to testing — and which don't?  What are the Four Worlds, and why is it important to look at all of them in a Human Design chart? It's Baton Rouge: Out to Lunch

Louisiana is known as a "sportsmen's paradise" because of the abundant fish and game that make for good hunting and fishing. And that's created something of a culture – one, admittedly shared by many states in the south and the west—that loves to hunt and fish. All sports require organization. And specialty equipment. Football, for example, is arranged by leagues - from high school through the NFL - and requires pads and helmets. Tennis is typically centered on clubs, and requires balls and racquets. Hunting and fishing trips are most often arranged informally by friends, and require rifles, rods and reels. Stephanie's guests on Out to Lunch today are involved with updating the organization of hunting and fishing trips, and the sale of equipment required for hunting. Namely, firearms. Laurie Lipsey Aaronson is President and CEO of Lipsey's, the Baton Rouge-based company that has grown to become the largest firearms distributor to licensed firearms retailers in the country. Lipsey's was founded in the early 1950s as a wholesale hunting and fishing distributor named S&S Sporting Goods. Laurie's father, Richard Lipsey, changed the name when he and members of his family acquired the business in the 1970s and began to expand it. Today, Lipsey's leads the firearms industry in the collaboration and distribution of exclusive firearms. Lipsey's also sells silencers, short barrel rifles and accessories. Laurie - who by the way was one of our first ever guests on Out to Lunch Baton Rouge - grew up learning the business from her dad and became chairwoman and CEO in 1993. She also leads another family business, Haspel, which created the original seersucker suit in New Orleans in 1909 and now offers a vibrant collection of men's clothing and accessories that Laurie has helped expand and diversify.  Logan Meaux is founder and CEO of Mallard Bay, a platform for sportsmen looking to book hunting and fishing trips with reputable charters anywhere in the U.S. The platform is like an Airbnb for sportsmen seeking accommodations with real-time availability, secure payments, quality assurance, and help with arranging lodging and meals along with their guided hunts. Logan is a recent LSU graduate, who was inspired to create the platform after having a particularly difficult time booking a hunting trip for his dad's birthday. Logan got together with two friends, both then students at LSU, Joel Moreau and Wyatt Mallet, to create the company. They then put together a team of business and computer science students and alumni to help with development. They launched in early 2022. In the short time since then, Mallard Bay has won a pitch competition, attracted local and national publicity and have their platform up and running and attracting users nationwide. This is all pretty impressive for a first gig right out of college, but then Logan comes by it naturally. His dad is Chris Meaux, founder of Lousiana's extraordinarily successful startup, Waitr, currently known as ASAP. Out to Lunch is recorded live over lunch at Mansurs on the Boulevard. The New York Times'ın “Üç Pulitzer Ödüllü” yazarı Thomas Friedman, Suudi Arabistan Veliaht Prensi Muhammed Bin Selman'a şöyle seslendi: “Şu golf muhabbetini kapatsan iyi olur. Yeni bir golf turuna sponsor olman itibarını aklamıyor... Haber sayfalarında, Suudi Arabistan'daki reformlar dahi konuşulmuyor... Aksine, spor sayfaları bile Cemal Kaşıkçı cinayetinden ve Suudi cihatçıların 11 Eylül saldırılarındaki rolünden bahsediyor...” ASLINDA NEDİR? Oysa... Siyonist gazete New York Times'ın yazarı Friedman'ın MBS'ye çıkışmadan evvel, 11 Eylül Saldırıları ve Kaşıkçı Cinayetinin arka planıyla yüzleşebilmesi gerekiyor. It began as a challenge: Could columnist Tamar Haspel and her husband eat one meal a day using food they grew or gathered themselves for an entire year? Haspel was intrigued by the experiment. Her husband — normally a “why not” guy — was less enthused. It was winter in Cape Cod, after all. But they embarked on the journey anyway, just a few months after exchanging their condo in Manhattan for a shack on a two-acre lot in Massachusetts. They learned to clam. They built hoop houses. They grew tomatoes — in raised beds, after futile attempts to cultivate their own sandy soil. They took on chickens. And they learned. They discovered new ways to eat, a new appreciation for food. They found it's not as hard as the experts often make it out to be. This Friday, MPR News host Kerri Miller talked with Haspel about the grand adventure documented in her new book, “To Boldly Grow.” Filled with humor, practical advice and hard-won wisdom, both the book and the conversation will inspire a new respect for what we eat and the soil and resilience that nurture us. Guest: Tamar Haspel writes the James Beard Award-winning “Washington Post” column “Unearthed,” which covers the intersection of food and science. Rebecca Winn became a landscape designer by instinct. She knew that something about the flowers, the soil, the cycle and the discovery fed her soul. When her life fell apart, it was her garden that taught her how to heal. In her book, “One Hundred Daffodils,” she shares those lessons with us. MPR News host Kerri Miller spoke with Winn in March 2020, just as the pandemic was shutting the country down. The timing made for an especially beautiful conversation, and it remains poignant as we continue to process grief. Let it also serve as an appetizer for this Friday's conversation between Miller and author Tamar Haspel when they talk about Haspel's quest to grow her own food for a year. On today's episode of The Daily Daily Caller Podcast ... Just when you think liberals can't get any crazier, that they've hit bottom, another day passes and you discover they've broken out the shovel and started digging ... again. Early this morning, President Donald Trump welcomed home three Americans who have been held captive by North Korea and liberals couldn't even bring themselves to congratulate him on the accomplishment. While we celebrate, it's important to remember that no one should go to North Korea, or Iran, or anywhere controlled by despots. It doesn't matter what your reasoning is, don't go! Nothing good will come of it. But we welcome them home, and unlike Democrats, thank the president and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for securing their release. The confirmation hearing for Gina Haspel to be the next director of the CIA went according to plan, which means mutant liberals in Code Pink shouted for attention and got it. Where were they and the anti-war movement from 2009-2017? They were around; they were just ignored by the media because Barack Obama was in office. Now they're back to getting media attention. Kamala Harris, Democratic senator from California and one of the leading contenders for their party's nomination for president in 2020, loves the sound of her own voice. She much not love accomplishments because she doesn't have any, but she doesn't need any to get glowing media coverage because she's a Democrat. She tried to force Haspel to condemn enhanced interrogation techniques as "immoral," because that's what's important to the left. Haspel refused to do it, which irritated the hell out of Harris. In her limited time to question Haspel, Harris wasted a good chunk of it being a blowhard. We play the audio and mock Harris because she deserves it. CNN liberal Phil Mudd even had enough of Harris and her self-righteousness, blasting the senator for her grandstanding and reminding the world that Democrats and Republicans were regularly informed about the enhanced interrogation techniques used on terrorists at the time they were being used and were either "silent or supportive." Hypocrisy, thy name is Democrat. Liberal stupidity is not confined to the U.S. In Australia, a lunatic with pink hair is advocating for consent from babies to change diapers, or "nappies," as they're called down there. She has the content of soiled nappies between her ears. The audio must be heard to be believed. Finally, crazy uncle Joe Biden seems surprised that women "from the hood" were able to learn how to program computers. Of course they can, anyone can. But Biden seems shocked that black women in Detroit were able to learn. If a Republican had said anything close to this, they'd be run out of town. But Biden gets a pass because he's a Democrat, and he's not particularly bright. Give it a listen. The Daily Daily Caller Podcast is a daily look and mocking of the news from a conservative perspective. Hosted by Derek Hunter, it is available in audio form Monday-Thursday and will have a video option on Fridays. While CIA Director Mike Pompeo’s confirmation as the next secretary of state looks to be a done deal, whether his deputy, Gina Haspel, will be confirmed as the first female director of “the Agency” is less certain. Haspel has dedicated her adult life to protecting the country, often in far-off, dangerous places, with great distinction. Nevertheless, it seems some on the left want to re-litigate the early years of the post-9/11 world. They want to debate “enhanced interrogation techniques” again, like waterboarding. Serious people understand that all young intelligence operators will be watching this proceeding, deciding whether the hard choices they are being asked to make right now are going to be subject to show trials years or even decades down the road.
