The Passover holiday is celebrated by Jews around the world to remember God's deliverance from slavery in Egypt. As Christians, we can also remember how Jesus Christ rescued us from sin and death extending forgiveness and new life to us through His work on the cross.

On Epiphany Sunday, Pastor Eric Snyder concludes the God's Rescue Mission sermon series. "The truth of Christmas is that we have received a Helper..."
The season of Advent has given way to Christmastide! Pastor John Mackett continues the sermon series God's Rescue Mission by preaching on this passage from Isaiah.
GOD'S RESCUE MISSION
Pastor Eric Snyder continues his Advent sermon series, God’s Rescue Mission. “…That's the story of Christmas. That in the middle of our trouble, in the middle of our trial, in the middle of our addiction, in the middle of our problems, in the middle of our sin, God has come and He is standing in the middle of it… Advent is an opportunity for us to recognize God's power in comparison to the power of what has you and what binds you and what torments you.”
Pastor Eric continues his Advent series with a sermon about a passage that includes his favorite verse in the whole Bible! "God is coming to take back what the Devil has stolen from you. Advent is an opportunity to get real with God and to allow God to bring back to us the fullness of His grace, and a new vision of what He is for us in His salvation."
"There's a tendency of the human heart to erect itself on the throne of its own life. It's the story of your life and the story of mine. Thus the need for advent. God is coming anew and in power this year. Are you ready? He is coming to cleanse." -Pastor Eric Snyder
Pastor Eric begins his Advent sermon series entitled God's Rescue Mission: "You can't get ready for Jesus to come if you don't need him to, if you're basically fine... As Christians we are called to look at the facts of our living and say "Jesus I'm not going to pretend anymore, I need you to come HERE in my life." So where is your exile story? What has got ahold of you? What is your personal brokenness that you need help with, that you need God to come and rescue you from?...For us to understand Christmas, we have to allow God to come into our everyday life."
Acts 2:14-36 shows us something new in God's mission to rescue and redeem the world. God had always been working to rescue his people from sin and death, but at Pentecost something new happened. God's plan for rescue came to a fulfillment and his mission of rescue found a new beginning in and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Listen in as we consider what it means for God to be a rescuer, how we need his rescue and how that rescue is unfolding even now.
