(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 14 in Adamawa State Fourteen Nigerians are dead, and four are missing after Boko Haram, a Muslim terrorist group, attacked three villages on the evening of December 29th in Adamawa State, reports International Christian Concern. In addition, numerous homes and businesses were vandalized or burned in the attacks, which struck the villages of Zah, Mubang Yadul, and Kijing. Many villagers fled for their safety. The attackers reportedly fled into the bush before security personnel arrived. The attacks, which occurred days after the U.S. struck ISIS-affiliated Muslim militants in northwest Nigeria, were the latest in a string of assaults on villages in the area to occur around Christmas. MN employees: "Gov. Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud." Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana took to the Senate floor to address how it's possible that Somalis in Minnesota were able to defraud taxpayers to the tune of $1 billion, possibly $9 billion, through fake non-profits. KENNEDY: “Here's what the Legislative Auditor in Minnesota said: ‘The threat of litigation and the negative press affected how the state politicians use their regulatory power.' “And here's what a fraud investigator in the Attorney General's office said: ‘There is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue would cause political backlash from the Somali community, which is a core voting block for Democrats.' “One of the other witnesses in the fraud investigation said, ‘Look, the 80,000-voting block folks with Somali ancestry, you got to have their votes to win in Minneapolis. And if you're a Democrat, if you can't win Minneapolis, you can't win in the state.' So, the politicians did nothing.” Senator Kennedy quoted from a social media post in which hundreds of employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Service weighed in. KENNEDY: “Don't just take my word for it, and don't blame the state employees. They tried. In fact, recently the state employees, they just said, ‘Look, we've had enough.' Several hundred employees from the Minnesota Department of Human Service, who administered this program, they posted this. I'm quoting now. '[Democratic] Governor Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota. We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on.' That's employees talking, hoping for a partnership and stopping fraud. ‘But no, we got the opposite response. Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers.'” Jeremiah 9:6 says, “'You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge Me,'” declares the LORD.” Additional massive fraud at Somali-run day care centers in Minnesota In a related story, YouTuber Nick Shirley, age 23, has exposed what appears to be massive additional fraud in taxpayer-subsidized, Somali-run day care centers. This has prompted the Department of Health and Human Services to announce that it is derailing the $185-million gravy train.  HHS Deputy Secretary Jim O'Neil said on X, “We have frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota,” reports The Blaze. O'NEIL:” “Intrepid journalists have made shocking and credible allegations of extensive fraud in Minnesota's child care programs. We believe the state of Minnesota has allowed scammers and fake day cares to siphon millions of taxpayer dollars over the past decade.” Muslim NYC Mayor sworn in with Quran Incoming New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani took his New Year's Eve oath of office on his grandfather's Quran and a 200-year-old Quaran from the New York Public Library. It marked the first time a New York City mayor used Islam's misguided text to be sworn in, reports the Associated Press. The 34-year-old Democrat became mayor in a long-closed subway station beneath City Hall, the first Muslim, the first South Asian and the first African-born person to hold that position. Most of Mamdani's predecessors were sworn in on a Bible, although the oath to uphold the federal, state, and city constitutions does not require the use of any religious text. In addition, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has directly labeled Mayor Mamdami a Communist.  Posting on X, Cruz wrote, “When communists rule, individual rights—invariably—are taken away.” Listen to the Big Apple Mayor's own words. MAMDAMI: “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” CT Governor to give $10 million to abortion giant Planned Parenthood Connecticut Democrat Governor Ned Lamont has announced he intends to give $10.4 million of taxpayers' money to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, in order to compensate for Trump's decision to defund the abortion giant, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The Connecticut Mirror reported the governor's latest spending proposal, part of $41 million to make up for lost federal funds for a variety of so-called “services,” bringing the total committed for that purpose up to almost $168 million. Parents: School cancels Christmas concert over “Jesus” lyrics And finally, parents in Fonda, New York are furious after the annual elementary school Christmas concert was canceled. Many suspect it's because a teacher was offended by the name of Jesus, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. Children at Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School had worked very hard to learn songs for the concert.  But there was one particular song that caused a bit of controversy. The song is called, “Oh, What a Special Night” and it tells the birth of Christ from the perspective of the animals around the manger scene. At the end of each verse, the children sang, “Thank you God for Baby Jesus.” The school district confirmed that the song was removed from the concert under guidance from their legal department.  Shortly after that, the concert was canceled. On Facebook, one parent wrote, “So tired of this woke culture, where one parent can call in and complain, and ruin it for the entire district.” Another said, “It is CHRISTmas. If someone doesn't agree with that, then they don't need to participate, and their parents don't need to attend. … The school has ruined the countless hours of practice the other kids have put in, as well as the joy and excitement they feel when they see their families in the audience. All of that happiness has been taken away.” Isaiah 9:6 declares, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Friends of the Rosary,Today, Sunday, December 28, the Fourth Day within the Octave of Christmas, is the Feast of the Holy Family, an invitation to every Christian family to live in harmony and in prayer, which are the pledges of joy and union.At the end of the past century, Pope Leo XIII promoted this feast to present the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as the model of all Christian families.Although they were the holiest family that ever lived, or ever will live, on earth, as they were God's closest friends, they had more than their share of this world's troubles. Today's Gospel from Matthew 2:13-15; 19-23 tells us of some of these earthly woes and sufferings.They had just settled in Bethlehem, and the Baby Jesus was only a few months old when, to avoid his murder at the hands of Herod, they had to flee from Bethlehem and become displaced persons in a foreign and pagan land.This story is a message of encouragement and consolation for every one of us. If the Holy Family suffered such trials and hardships, we should be ready to bear the trials that God sends us for our own eternal welfare.The devotion to the Holy Family was born in Bethlehem, together with the Baby Jesus. The shepherds went to adore the Child and, at the same time, to honor His family. Later, in a similar way, the three wise men came from the East to adore and give honor to the newborn King with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh that His family would safeguard.Christ Himself showed His devotion to His mother and foster father by submitting Himself, with infinite humility, to the duty of filial obedience towards them.Today's celebration demonstrates Christ's humility and obedience regarding the fourth commandment, whilst also highlighting the loving care that His parents exercised in keeping Him.Let us imitate the Holy Family in our Christian families, and our families will be a prefiguration of the heavenly family. We say a prayer dedicating your family to the Holy Family. Also, we pray for all families to uphold the sanctity of the marriage bond, today under attack.Traditionally, the Feast of the Holy Innocents is celebrated on December 28th. Christmas 2025 is almost here. Let's use this as a time to focus on the Christmas account of the birth of the Christ-child and discover unique facts about Christmas we may not have ever considered. For example, how about those shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night (Luke 2:8). Who were these guys anyway? All we know about them is they were shepherds in Bethlehem. This means most likely the sheep they were watching that first Christmas night were sheep destined to become sacrificial lambs at the Temple in Jerusalem. Bethlehem is close to Jerusalem. If you travel it today, it takes less than half an hour—about 5 and 1/2 miles. In that day, a little longer of course, but certainly doable in a few hours. These shepherds in that field that night were raising sacrificial lambs for the Temple, and then suddenly, the visit of the angels tells them the Lamb of God has been born in Bethlehem. Once they recover from the fright of this visitation, they decide to go see the Lamb of God, born to take away the sin of the world. Leaving their sheep behind—which was very unusual for shepherds to do—they travel to find the baby with Mary and Joseph, and they worship him. Then they spread the word, telling everyone what they had seen and who they had seen! Reminds me of a wonderful verse from the wonderful song, A Cradle in the Shadow of the Cross. Talking about the shepherds looking at Baby Jesus—listen to this verse: The shepherd lads were bending the knee, and how the little lambs were all trying to see, the Passover Lamb, born in a manager, just to give his life for lost sheep like me. A baby born to be a lamb—the Lamb of God for you and me. We have much to celebrate this Christmas! Jesus was born in a manger to become a man—the God-Man, the only qualified Savior who gave his life for lost sheep like me and you. Think about that today; it's a great way to prepare your heart for Christmas day.

When the prophets foretold the birth of the Messiah, they didn't speak in generalities and non-specific terms, they named names. Just about everyone knows that Jesus birth was foretold to be at Bethlehem, but did you know the Bible also gives us the exact geographic location as well? Baby Jesus can't help us. He was, humanly speaking, quite helpless at that time himself, helped in life by the very ones he made. And, yes, by the very people he came to save. For, God did not send his Son into the world to become a baby. According to Galatians 4:4–5, he sent his Son, "born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law." Full Transcript Below: What Joseph Teaches Us about Quiet Obedience By Peyton Garland Bible Reading:“When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.” Matthew 1:24-25 (NIV) I was warned that he was wild in his teen years. One of my best friends, who knew him then, begged me not to date him. I appreciated the concern, truly. But something about this new man in my life felt different from the other guys. Besides, are any of us at our best at sixteen? Sure, I was wary that he hadn’t attended church in years, but I understood the burn he had felt from church people in places of spiritual leadership. In fact, I could relate to that deep, spiritual pain. However, a few months into dating him, when I grew frustrated and angry with his cynicism towards the church, I was ready to end our relationship. I was through. I was willing to believe that he was still that same sixteen-year-old boy. But loudly and clearly, I felt God stir in my soul, “Nope. Hang on. Stick with him.” So I held fast to God’s voice rather than what I had spiritually determined about my then-boyfriend. Today, almost nine years later, I have no regrets. This cynical guy became my husband, a patient, hardworking man. He became the father to my children, a protective, present man. He became an active member of our church and is now a life group leader for nine families, a humble, changed man. It’s often the quiet, humble obedience that makes a lasting impact. It’s the daily surrender, the daily willingness to obey in the small things, that softens our hearts. After all, anyone can stand on a stage with a microphone in hand because it often conveys their importance and (sometimes faulty) leadership qualities. Anyone can gain a social media following and throw Jesus’ name somewhere in their bio. This measly effort grants them digital access as a “theological” influencer. But to fix the church’s toilet on a random Tuesday, like my husband did a few months back, when no one is there to notice or care, doesn’t come with worldly praise. Showing up at a life group member’s work with a coffee early one morning just to let them know they are loved, like my husband often does, will never be a flashy form of service. Joseph was never going to be popular by marrying a woman whose supposed adultery should have had her stoned, bearing the religious and social disgrace he never asked for. Yet he did it anyway. He trusted in God’s messenger, displaying loud, bold faith in a quiet, humble way. He didn’t waste his time trying to convince others that Mary was blameless because his reputation wasn’t his concern. His greatest concern and longing was to pursue truth and honor God. How often can we say that of ourselves? When do we abandon our clout, our following, our comfort, or even our safety, to honor God? Most days, we won’t mention Jesus unless it’s trendy, and we certainly won’t die to ourselves for His glory in the quiet, where no one can see us. Joseph teaches us that quiet obedience is rooted in love, in intimately knowing and trusting God. If we know God, truly know Him, then we know He is good and has our best interest at heart. This allows us to let go of anything we cling to for comfort and control so we can embrace whatever calling He has placed on our lives, no matter how big or small we label it. This Christmas season, consider how intimately you know the Savior. Consider if/when you sacrifice your pride to humbly serve others, even if no one knows. Consider what motivates your obedience to God. Is it from a deep desire to serve your Savior? Or is it for show? A following? To make a name for yourself? Mary, Joseph, and most certainly Baby Jesus gave up everything to humbly proclaim the good news of salvation. Why can’t we? Intersecting Faith & Life: Take a few moments to reflect on the last time you humbly served someone else. What was your motivation? How did you feel after obeying? Ask God to soften your heart and reveal any ways that pride has kept you from quiet obedience. And don't forget the plastic Baby Jesus in Christmas tableaus.What is plastic, anyway? It's a toxic synthetic material mostly manufactured from petroleum by such giants as ExxonMobil, the globe's top purveyor. So much is produced by these profiteers that plastic trash is now a planetary disaster.But not to worry, for Big Oil's lobbyists assure us gabillions of plastic bags, bottles, and such are being recycled, keeping them out of our landfills, water, bodies, etc. Swell! Except… they're lying.After all, Exxon is the same for-profit contaminator that lied for years that fossil fuels were not causing climate change, even though top executives knew they were. Their ethic of deceit continues today – Big Oil knows that 94 percent of US plastics are not recycled. Indeed, they can't be.Faced with growing public alarm about the ever-growing glut of plastic pollution, the industry has doubled down on deceit by offering a snappy new PR slogan: “Advanced Recycling.” They say it's a magical process dubbed “pyrolysis.” Only… it doesn't work, it's inordinately expensive, and it increases climate change emissions. Still, Exxon exclaims its AR will soon be processing half a million tons of plastic waste! But that's not even a drop in the plastic bucket, for more than 400 million tons of plastic waste is discarded each year –and the oil industry is planning to double plastic production by 2040.The only real way to stop runaway plastic pollution of us and our planet is to use less plastic.
