IT MIGHT BE... IT COULD BE... IT IS! A HOMERUN! Harry Carey said it right when you think about this week in the #Lounge! The guys had college coach, at Trine University (Angola, IN), and 17+ year veteran coach at USA Baseball, Brett Ratcliffe as our "Sports Febstival" Part 2 guest! Brett has worked with SO MANY different players and has just as many stories to tell! He is the reason the guys know Nate Mondou! Brett coached Nate at USA baseball when Nate was 14, and their relationship grew... we ask what it was that drew Brett to Nate! He also shared how he started coaching at USA baseball, and what a day-to-day operation of evaluating players for the particular teams entails! Did you know there was a process of rubbing down baseballs for this time? How about what it's like to tell a future super-star he was not being selected for a national team? What's it like to go to another country to play in a world games event? What's the craziest trick play he's seen work in a game? What does it mean to have the USA across your chest while you hear the National Anthem, during the medal ceremony? These are all just SOME of the things Brett talked about while he hung out! What a great time! Brett was an absolute treat to have come hang out and tell us about his life in the world of baseball! Part 2 of the "Sports Febstival" cleared the fence, BY A LONG SHOT! It was a no-doubter! SO, sit back, relax & #grabalisten to our hang out with Brett Ratcliffe!

We continue our conversation with Trevor from the Hanshin Tigers English News. We get into the differences between baseball in the MLB and the NBP. Defensive shifts, pace of play, stadium and scheduling. Mark took an “easy” baseball quiz. Atleast it was supposed to be easy. Goodbye Basbeall, Fly Away, It Could Be, It Might Be, It Is! What are some of the greatest signature home run calls? We give you ours, but this is the internet, so I’m sure we’re wrong.
