He had moved to the US for college before becoming an actor, but, despite coming out in his teens, felt he had to keep his sexuality a secret to make it in Hollywood. Roshan Sethi is a Canadian oncologist and scriptwriter from an Indian family, who didn't come out till the age of 30. But when the pair met through an online dating app, things began to change. They ended up making a Hollywood/Bollywood-inspired romcom that closely resembled their own story – about a gay Indian-American doctor finding love. Karan is in the lead role, alongside musical theatre star Jonathan Groff, and Roshan is directing. Making this film, and sharing it with their families, has helped to address some of the issues both Karan and Roshan experienced as gay men from South Asian communities. This story was first on BBC World Service radio last year - when the Lives Less Ordinary team decided to create the Love Stories season, we knew we had to include it!Presenter: Sophia Smith Galer Producer: Helen FitzhenryLives Less Ordinary is a podcast from the BBC World Service that brings you the most incredible true stories from around the world. In Part 2 of our three-part series on peptides, Dr. Michelle Plaster and NP Amber Foster take a deeper dive into some of the specific peptides they commonly discuss and prescribe—and what makes each one different. From growth hormone-related peptides and body composition to muscle building, sleep, recovery, and tissue healing, we break down how different peptides may be used depending on your individual goals. We also talk about peptide combinations, why cycling and lab monitoring matter, and why peptides should be approached as part of a complete health and lifestyle plan, not as a quick fix. You'll also hear some personal experiences from Dr. Plaster and Amber as they discuss the peptides they've seen used in their own lives and with patients. In this episode, we discuss:• Growth hormone-related peptides and their role in body composition• Why peptides may be combined or “stacked”• Muscle building and maintaining muscle during weight loss• Sleep, recovery, and overall wellness• The “Wolverine” stack and how these peptides are used• Why your specific health goals should determine the approachAnd we're not done yet! Full show notes: https://bengreenfieldlife.com/504 In this solosode, you'll get the latest research on three questions I keep getting asked. First, seed oils: a brand-new randomized controlled trial put 52 adults on either a low or a typical Western intake of linoleic acid for 12 weeks, and the results are important less for what they found than for what they didn't. You'll hear why arachidonic acid didn't move, why EPA dropped instead, what that does to your inflammatory balance, which seed oils I still think are worth avoiding, and the one dietary adjustment that matters most if seed oils are part of your diet. You'll also learn the surprisingly small amount of strength training that delivers the biggest longevity payoff, according to a 30-year study of more than 147,000 people, plus why pairing it with cardio is the single best exercise combination for blood pressure. I break down concurrent training, the interference effect between AMPK and mTOR, and when combining strength and cardio in one session helps you versus when it holds you back. Finally, I answer a listener question on peptides with six practical rules for stacking them safely, including which ones should never share a syringe, which ones cancel each other out at the receptor, and an honest look at how thin the human evidence really is behind the popular Wolverine stack. Winston A. Marshall and Kris Carr are taking over The Kristian Harloff Show today to break down the biggest movie and TV news from Star Wars, Marvel, X-Men, The Odyssey, and more! Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey continues its historic box office run and has now become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. Plus, could Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 actually happen? Ewan McGregor reveals that he pitched a story involving Obi-Wan and Yoda to Dave Filoni. What could bring these two iconic Jedi together, and is another Obi-Wan adventure something Star Wars fans actually want to see? Marvel is also making headlines as new details emerge about the future of Marvel Television and the MCU's movie strategy. In this episode, Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz continue their position group preview series by looking at the Michigan football team's linebacker room. They open with a look at the strengths and question marks of the room, as they try to make sense of a position group that lost its top four players from last season, and did not add a true sure-thing player though the transfer portal this offseason. Nonetheless, they examine the top four linebackers in the room, and what they can bring in 2026.In the second half of the episode, they look at two x-factor players for the room, the floor and ceiling for the position group, and how they will measure success for the Wolverines' linebackers in 2026.

    # X-Men '97 Season 2 ReviewRC the Commission and co-host Sam Howe break down the highs and lows of X-Men '97 Season 2, from the show's crowded storytelling and uneven pacing to the emotional fallout around Magneto, Gambit, Rogue, and Wolverine. They also look ahead to Season 3, including where the series might go with Graydon Creed, Onslaught, Krakoa, and a more politically charged mutant conflict.## Key topics- In this episode, RC the Commission and Sam Howe give their overall Season 2 score and both settle on a mixed response, with Sam landing at a 6 out of 10.- They argue that the season felt wildly uneven, especially after the Wolverine standalone episode, which Sam calls the standout of the season.- They discuss how the season seemed to suffer from rewrites after Bo DeMeo's exit, including the possibility that an originally planned 10 episode season was cut down.- They compare Season 2 to Season 1, saying the first season worked better because it had decades of X-Men history to build on, while Season 2 had to build mostly from scratch.- They criticize the back half of the season for feeling overloaded, with too many characters and arcs competing for space, including Polaris, Danger, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, Weapon X, and X-Factor.- They talk about how the season often used characters as plot pieces rather than giving them meaningful development, especially Rogue, Storm, Mystique, and Graydon Creed.- They break down the Gambit storyline and say his return, sacrifice, and emotional payoff felt muddled despite the character's importance.- They praise Nightcrawler's trial scene with Graydon Creed as one of the best character moments of the season, especially for how it handled forgiveness and self hatred.- They say the show lost some of its political edge in the second half, with Graydon Creed's rise to power feeling rushed and underexplained.- They look ahead to Season 3 and expect the series to move toward a stronger mutant versus government conflict, possibly involving Krakoa, Onslaught, and a more adversarial Xavier and Cyclops dynamic.## Timestamps00:00 - Opening the Season 2 review and setting expectations 00:43 - First impressions and overall score 01:57 - Why Season 2 felt more crowded than Season 1 04:08 - Original plans for Onslaught, Polaris, and the Age of Apocalypse 06:05 - Rogue, Storm, and the emotional weight problem 07:31 - Why the Wolverine episode worked and where it fell short 09:24 - Death, resurrection, and why consequences felt cheap 11:31 - Story prioritization over character development 13:13 - The abandoned Onslaught setup and rewritten back half 16:35 - Xavier and Magneto as emotional subtext 18:35 - The season's weakened political viewpoint 20:55 - Graydon Creed, Val Cooper, and rushed government plotting 24:06 - Nightcrawler's standout trial scene 25:42 - Why Danger EXE was the weakest episode 27:48 - Too many new characters, too little time at the school 29:24 - Why Season 1 felt more specific and satisfying 31:18 - Where Season 3 could go from here 34:15 - Xavier and Cyclops as morally gray leaders 39:29 - Thoughts on casting and the MCU's mutant setup 41:34 - How Spider-Man: Brand New Day overstuffed its story 43:14 - Early casting reactions, including Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister 45:36 - Krakoa, Genosha, and the next mutant status quo 47:02 - Favorite part of the season: returning to the X-Men world 49:47 - Worst part of the season: lack of direction and consequence 51:17 - Why Gambit's arc was the biggest disappointment 52:44 - Favorite late-season moment: Xavier's attack on Apocalypse 53:47 - Why Season 3 needs to arrive faster and do more 55:07 - Closing thoughts and Patreon shoutout## Notable quotes> “It is a wildly uneven season.”> “The best writing is so specific that it becomes universal.”> “I need to go back and watch anything from my childhood.”

On PlayStation 5 in the near future, you're going to be hacking, slashing, stabbing, and serrating your enemies with reckless abandon. For starters, the dangerously-clawed Wolverine emerges in September, along with a newly-announced special edition PS5 console, a couple of DualSense controllers, and even some plates for your existing hardware. (Plus, the previews are quite positive!) September also provides us with horroresque Halloween: The Game from IllFonic, which interestingly enough won't be released in Australia and New Zealand for the stupidest reason. Come October, hack-and-slash RPG Phantom Blade 0 joins the fray -- a long-in-development Chinese game that's getting its own State of Play imminently -- not to mention Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition, packing new single-player content galore alongside the return of the Katana-wielding Atsu. Other news this week includes a surprise PS3-era Lord of the Rings drop, insane data about Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders, and more. But we end, as we always do, with listener inquiries. Will Sony really eschew any sort of external disc drive for PlayStation 6, if only for backwards compatibility purposes? Why is visiting a new town in an RPG typically such an exciting experience? What would a "Digital Bill of Rights" look like? Is Dustin losing his Japanese language skills through atrophy?
