Eve Simmons is the deputy health editor for the Mail on Sunday, a survivor of anorexia, and co-founder of the website Not Plant Based, in which she and her co-writer, Laura Dennison, scathingly pick apart dieting scams and food-and-health-obsessed culture. In a new book, Feel The Fear And Eat It Anyway, Eve, along with Laura, tackles a social media culture of #fitspo and clean eating, debunk misinformation about food with the health of experts and studies, and replace it with a simple principle: eat what you like and don't worry about it so much.
This week we are BACK with full episodes, in season 4 of the podcast. I am so excited to kick off this season with a kickass interview with the incredible women behind the blog ‘Not Plant Based’. Not Plant Based was founded by Laura Dennison and is co-authored by Eve Simmons, both of whom have suffered with eating disorders. They are telling our stories to help others who have also suffered, or are continuing to, with troubled eating. They’re re-discovering happiness and contentment through exercise and by eating the food that they love (namely pasta, meat, potatoes, melted cheese and Kit Kats) in hope that you will too.
