Doom and Pedz are joined this week by Captian Kil for his first Twitchcast appearance. This week the chat is all about:Super Mario Maker 2 and the latest Direct. Honestly the direct isn't spoke about too much, it's mainly Doom, Kil and Pedz talking about if it looks like a significant upgrade or if it should have been Super Mario Maker Deluxe.Next up is Sony and Microsoft teaming up and Maybe Nintendo using Azure for streaming games. Kil catches us up on City of Heroes and Villains, which has recently come back to for all to play and for free.Doom brings the Playdate and Huawei into the conversation with how interesting the former looks and hipster-ish, while Huawei has been great for him and he's hoping things will be changed back so he can have more Huawei devices. Kil tells us about his visit to the V&A exhibition in Dundee. It's sounding pretty ace. When then talk a little about games we've played, though it's pretty brief, most talk is about Sea of Thieves and how Doom and Pedz view the game differently.https://archive.org/download/GRcadeTwitchcastEpisode13/GRcade%20Twitchcast%20Episode%2013.mp3

While the rest of the world is picking up the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at an admirable pace (sorry, Wii U), the former was only just released earlier this year in Japan, and the latter is not yet on store shelves. The latest Nintendo Direct makes it seem like the company doesn't understand that they need to support the Wii U over the 3DS with games like Smash Bros., but perhaps the situation underscores a deeper problem. Sean and Vinnk discuss what happened to all of the console gamers, where they went, and what it means for the future of game companies if it all goes away forever. Maybe Nintendo's mobile strategy isn't so short-sighted after all. Granted, it was announced since recording this episode that the 3DS XL is going to have its own circle pad, but that didn't stop us from wondering a couple of things: a) Why it wasn't built into the XL, and b) why it wasn't announced during E3. Sean and Vinnk grapple with the relevancy of the biggest gaming industry event in the US, and come to the terrifying conclusion that just MAYBE Nintendo might not want third parties to succeed...
