The holidays… A time for family, a time for cheer, and traditionally a slew of indulging activities such as endless parties, shopping, eating, drinking and gift giving which often leaves us feeling less than joyful when it is all over. Our “All the Stuff” ladies Lisa Carpenter, Transformational Life and Nutrition Coach, along with Lisa Sharp, Empowerment Coach and Clutter Expert, and Jen Turrell, Financial Personal Trainer for Women, discuss how navigating the holidays can be a challenge, and what steps one can take to make the holidays go smoothly and without excesses. Listeners will hear how going back to their “whys”, making choices that serve them and knowing their triggers are so important in staying the course to a happy holiday season. They will also learn how quality versus quantity is the key to celebratory eating, spending and gift giving and how staying conscious will not only enhance the holidays but also provide a great start to the new year without excess weight, debt and clutter. The “All the Stuff” gals invite listeners to share their own personal challenges with the holidays in their Facebook Group, and are ready to offer their support. Be sure to check it out! You can find out more about our resident experts and their programs on their websites: Lisa Carpenter’s Program E.A.T!, Lisa Sharp’s The Blueprint Group Program, and Jen Turrell’s Money Matters Mastermind.
AND THEN COMES LOVE 2 Peter 1:5-8(KJV) 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Definitions of virtue: noun: the quality of doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong noun: a particular moral excellence noun: morality with respect to sexual relations noun: any admirable quality or attribute Grace Note: Living Holy as Our Father is Holy – Without such NO MAN can see the Lord! Definitions of temperance: noun: the trait of avoiding excesses noun: abstaining from excess HOW WE ARE TO LOVE -COMMANDED OF THE LORD Matthew 22:37-40(KJV) 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Grace Notes: • The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus –Made us Free from the Law of sin and Death • We love Him with Our All when we come to Him for Everything, and then Obeying Him as He instructs Us! • Without Love NOTHING we do will be Effective - A LIAR – ONE WHO SAYS HE LOVES GOD YET HATES HIS BROTHER 1 John 4:20(KJV) 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
