Between trying to deep-clean grout, almost impulse-buying enough tile to redo my whole house, and befriending an owl that definitely wants nothing to do with me, my life is chaos right now. But teacher besties, we've also got some insane listener stories this week. One caller shares how struggling in school meant being banned from every fun activity, while another almost got fired their first year for the crime of telling a kid to “sit down.” Yep. That's it. I spiral about IEPs, incentives, dog training parallels (don't cancel me), and whether candy counts as currency in classrooms. Spoiler: it does. This episode is messy, hilarious, and just a little bit wise—kind of like my grout. Takeaways: Andrea's new house adventures include grout crises, owl obsession, and a kid who roasts her comedy career. A future teacher calls in about being barred from extracurriculars because of low grades—Andrea has thoughts. One teacher nearly lost their job over telling a student to sit down, and the dog-training parallels get… way too real. Candy vs. no candy: the great classroom incentive debate heats up. Andrea drops a resource that can cut teacher prep time in half—without sacrificing sanity. Teachers' night out? Yes, please! Dr. Pete Chambers, a decorated Green Beret, physician, and whistleblower who's now running for Governor of Texas. Then, you'll hear from Erik Holt, a former Fire Chief whose stand for election integrity cost him his job, his savings, and nearly his livelihood. When faced with clear evidence of election misconduct, he refused to look the other way—even when corrupt officials demanded he destroy it. Fired, blacklisted, and forced into a costly legal battle, Erik's fight is about more than his own case—it's about whether public servants in America can speak truth without losing their rights. This isn't just another episode—it's a rallying cry. You'll hear stories of courage, sacrifice, and the high price of integrity in today's America. If you've ever wondered what it looks like to stand your ground when everything is on the line, you won't want to miss this one.

It included revisions to their estimates for the jobs created in May and June which stated there were 258,000 fewer jobs than they had previously estimated. This news was not received well by the White House. President Trump fired the head of the bureau, Erika McEntarfer, calling the numbers ‘phony, rigged, a scam' and spreading conspiracy theories that McEntarfer had fudged the data. We speak to economist Michael Strain from the American Enterprise Institute, to understand why the revisions happened and the potential consequences of throwing doubt on one of the US's most important statistical agencies. How's this irony: Trump never needed the media. He just treated them like used gym equipment—until they snapped under his weight.Donald Trump hasn't just survived the media gauntlet, he's demolished it. He didn't beat them on a technicality. He didn't sneak out a split decision. He left the Fourth Estate face-down, pantsless, with “Fake News” Sharpie'd on their asses like a frat house hazing.Jen Psaki's show is so bad, it's being used at Guantanamo to get confessions.Colbert? Gone. Joy Reid? Fired. Rachel Maddow? Relegated to book tours and sad tweets. Trump didn't just outlast the media—he outboxed, outwitted, and outlasted the very people who declared him finished.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
