Sam Jacobs (CEO, Pavilion), AJ Bruno (CEO, QuotaPath), and Asad Zaman (CEO, Sales Talent Agency) debate exactly how to handle team members resisting AI adoption. When to leave them, when to nudge them, and when to fire them. The discussion highlights real-world data, including how leading companies reach the top decile of AI adoption and the mechanics of running a 24-hour, four-squad AI hackathon to force experimentation. We also cover a critical performance heuristic from the past CPO of LaunchDarkly: if your team cannot execute simple tasks in a single day, you are falling behind. The conversation covers change management for revenue leaders, how to integrate AI into your daily enterprise pipeline generation, and why optimizing your GTM strategy means making hard decisions about personnel who refuse to adapt. Key Takeaways: >Driving AI adoption requires clear communication and rewarding good behavior, but AJ Bruno warns that leaders will ultimately have to "leave behind a handful of folks that are just not going to get on the bus, that aren't getting on board." >When implementing new AI tools across your teams, Asad Zaman notes that expectations must scale with seniority, stating "I have more tolerance as I move lower in the org and less tolerance at the higher levels." >AI should be treated as a creative partner for deeper analysis rather than a shortcut for unedited output, a reality Sam Jacobs emphasizes by warning "If you are just the pass through, you will be fired." Welcome to Light ‘Em Up!At the conclusion of the editing and postproduction process for this episode in preparation for its upload and debut - DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was fired from her role as the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.Tonight, on this brand-new, intense episode we'll investigate and examine the more than 32 deaths that have happened at the hands of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE).It may come as a surprise, but the killing of Renee Good (a mother of three) and Alex Pretti (an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System Hospital in Minnesota) were not the first and they won't be the last. We'll drill down on the Department of Homeland Security — an organization led by individuals who lack both qualifications and integrity. This witch's brew often forces an organization — whether desired or not -- to eventually face severe consequences, ranging from operational inefficiencies to catastrophic, fatal incidents.Research indicates that when leadership prioritizes self-interest over competence and honesty, it creates a toxic culture that undermines safety and performance. ICE has made our streets unsafe with its tyrannical tactics, terrorizing our own people in the name of Trump.Since returning to office in 2025, President Trump has implemented a "hardline" and "maximalist" immigration policy focused on executing the largest domestic deportation operation in U.S. history. The administration doesn't care how the policy is carried out — ONLY that it is — so that Stephen Miller can satisfy his own sick, sadistic wishes.Miller is credited with shaping the racist and draconian immigration policies of President Trump, and Noem oversaw carrying those decisions out, which include:— zero-tolerance policy, also known as family separation,— the Muslim ban and— ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. As we go to air with this episode, a federal judge accuses the White House of ‘terror' against immigrants in the U.S.The administration has pursued a whole-of-government approach to identify, detain, and remove undocumented immigrants, aiming for a "1 million per year" deportation goal. But, in the process, there've been:— tremendous oversights,— poor procedural safeguards and protocols put in place,— very little to no training for new hires,— negligence and outright lies which have led to more than 32 people's death across the nation. We'll introduce you to those who have lost their lives at the hands of the governmental “political theater” that is unfolding right in front of our own eyes, daily. We will report that the (former) DHS Secretary, Kristi Noem is an outright liar — as is her boss. That isn't opinion — that is fact and we have the receipts to prove it.Be sure to tune in for our reporting regarding a completely fabricated story — that Noem stated in one of her press briefings to the nation — about a man in deportation proceedings “cannibalizing” others, then, himself, like the fictitious character Hannibal Lecter, who Trump thinks is a real person. As we speak truth to power, we never cower — as we expose the fact that Secretary Noem has deported U.S. military veterans AND U.S. citizens and lied and covered up about that as well.As a painter paints and a singer sings, a liar lies. The streets of the U.S. are safer with Noem ousted at the top of DHS, but the man tapped to be her replacement isn't much of an improvement.Tune in for this episode and our sponsors Newsly & Feedspot! We want to hear from you!Support the show

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) has acknowledged that the SAVE Act, which requires proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections, faces significant hurdles in the Senate due to the current filibuster rules. He stated plainly, “The votes aren't there” to pass it through a marathon talking filibuster, as demanded by some to force Democrats to hold the floor indefinitely. Thune further explained, “The votes aren't there, one, to nuke the filibuster, and the votes aren't there for a talking filibuster,” emphasizing the lack of support to change Senate procedures or override opposition. Americans who support securing elections and restoring the traditional talking filibuster for greater transparency should politely call Senator Thune's office at (202) 224-2321 today and urge him to lead on passing the SAVE Act while mandating real, on-the-floor debate — no more silent blocks! What happens when a doctor raises ethical concerns about a medical policy and loses his job? In this episode, Corey and Christine sit down with bioethicist and physician Dr. Aaron Kheriaty to discuss what happened after he challenged COVID vaccine mandates at his university. What began as a debate about workplace policy quickly became a national conversation about medical ethics, informed consent, and the role of public institutions during a public health crisis. Dr. Kheriaty shares the story of his dismissal from the University of California system after refusing the COVID vaccine mandate on medical and ethical grounds. Drawing from his experience as a psychiatrist and bioethics scholar, he explains why he believed the mandate raised serious concerns about medical autonomy, natural immunity, and the doctor–patient relationship. This conversation is not about telling people what medical decisions they should make. It is about examining the ethical framework behind modern medicine. What should informed consent actually look like? What role should institutions play in personal medical decisions? And what lessons should we carry forward from the COVID era? Corey and Christine explore how these questions affect families, parents, and anyone trying to navigate a healthcare system that often feels complex and difficult to question.

Kristi Noem's tenure as DHS secretary was marked by significant controversy, including a $220 million taxpayer-funded ad campaign featuring her prominently to urge self-deportations, which drew bipartisan criticism for waste and self-promotion, alongside allegations of mismanagement, chaotic leadership, and scrutiny over her close ties to adviser Corey Lewandowski. President Trump fired Noem and nominated Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R) to replace her as homeland security secretary, effective March 31, 2026, while reassigning Noem to a new role as special envoy for the Shield of the Americas, focused on Western Hemisphere security. Today's Headlines: The first cabinet firing of Trump 2.0 has arrived. After two rough days testifying before Congress, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is out. Her replacement is Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin — a rancher, MMA fighter, and former ethics investigation subject who had to repay $40K in "mistaken" payments. So, a lateral move. DHS remains unfunded for a third week, and Democrats say swapping Noem out isn't enough. On the war front, the House voted 212-219 against a War Powers resolution that would have required Trump to seek congressional approval before continuing strikes in the Middle East. The US embassy in Kuwait has been shuttered after retaliatory strikes killed six American soldiers. Trump, meanwhile, told Axios he wants to personally pick Iran's next leader — though he noted most of his preferred candidates are already dead, which is a sentence that actually happened. In a memo reported by The Information, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei went off on the Trump administration, stating plainly that the White House's beef with his company comes down to Anthropic refusing to donate, refusing to flatter, and refusing to play along with what he called "safety theater." OpenAI, he implied, has been less principled. Elsewhere: Trump's White House ballroom plans hit a snag after 35,000+ public comments — 97% of them hostile — delayed a federal vote until next month. RFK Jr. got 50+ medical schools to adopt his nutrition curriculum framework, though notably none of the schools that already settled with the Trump administration signed on. And a new anti-corruption group sued Trump and Pam Bondi over the TikTok deal, arguing the administration ignored Congress's national security mandate to hand the app to political allies instead. 1. Major U.S.–Israel Strike on Iran President Trump ordered a large-scale coordinated U.S. and Israeli bombing campaign on Iran. Over 900 U.S. airstrikes and ~1,200 Israeli strikes occurred within the first day. The attack reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader and several senior Iranian officials. The hosts emphasize that intelligence was “exquisite,” enabling targeted strikes on leadership meetings. 2. Rationale for the Attack (as described by the speakers) Iran is portrayed as: Leading state sponsor of terrorism for decades. Responsible for killing ~1,000 Americans historically. Financing Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Claims that Iran’s nuclear program was being rebuilt after earlier strikes. Trump reportedly consulted senators on Air Force One before the strike. The speakers describe Iran as militarily weakened from a previous “Twelve-Day War.” 3. Expected Global and U.S. Consequences Escalation risk is stressed, particularly: Terror attacks from Iran-backed proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis). Possible retaliation within the U.S. Middle Eastern airspace and the Strait of Hormuz were reportedly shut down amid fears of mines and missile activity. 4. Austin, Texas Mass Shooting Separate event discussed as possibly terrorism-related, though not confirmed. Shooter: 53‑year‑old naturalized U.S. citizen from Senegal. Wore clothing with “Property of Allah” and an Iranian flag underneath. Fired into a crowded bar district; killed 2 victims and was shot by police. Authorities had not yet confirmed motive at the time of reporting; investigation is ongoing. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. Kettle Chips: Cameron Healy. The Wild Bet That Made a BrandMost founders expand the “right” way: local → regional → national → international.Cameron Healy totally skipped the “national” part. When Kettle Chips was still an upstart regional brand, Cameron made a move that seems almost reckless: he launched his thick-cut, kettle-cooked chips to the United Kingdom — one of the most competitive “crisps” markets on earth — before conquering the U.S.And that wasn't his first risky move. Before Kettle, Cameron was a turban-wearing Sikh entrepreneur in 1970s Salem, Oregon, building a natural foods business…until he was abruptly fired. He started again from scratch with a $10,000 bank loan. Inspired by the extra thick, crunchy potato chips that he sampled on a trip to Hawaii, he taught himself how to fry sliced potatoes through trial-and-error. Then, just as Kettle started taking off overseas, another trip to Hawaii sparked a second act: Kona Brewing — a craft beer brand that initially lost $20K a month — for years — before Cameron was able to make it work.Meanwhile, buoyed by its UK success, Kettle chips eventually spread across the US, becoming the top-selling natural chip in the country.
