Today we're going to explore God's healing for our past wounds and present scars. There is so much power in forgiveness, so much healing in reconciliation. May you find healing today for any wounds or scars you've been carrying, whether big or small. And may you find a greater measure of abundant life as the result of God's presence and mercy. Our Scripture for today comes from 1 Peter 2:24, and today's worship is Praise Before My Breakthrough by Bryan & Katie Torwalt. Check out our Worship for the Weekday playlist on Spotify! ________ First15 Worship is here! As believers, we want a real connection with God every day, not just on Sunday. We want the peace and passion that comes from living with God, not for God. But when Monday morning rolls around we're left thinking: “Now what?” “How do I find and keep a daily connection with my Creator on my own?” At First15, we know that meaningful worship isn't just for Sunday. Every believer should be able to find a daily connection to God with fresh worship created specifically for their weekday. _____ First15 is a daily devotional written and recorded by Craig Denison. Good morning Game Changers! We hope you enjoyed the weekend, we're excited to have you back with us! This week we wanted to discuss having confidence in Jesus, even in the midst of the battles we are in. Sometimes it's easy to think that God isn't there because things are difficult or challenging, but He is always there and He is always working. So it's important to be confident that He is in control and to praise Him unwaveringly.

Bryan and Katie Torwalt’s recent EP, Praise Before My Breakthrough, is a bit unusual for worship artists. It’s a deeply personal collection of songs talking about struggle, pain and trusting God in the midst of hard seasons. It doesn’t have the neatly tied up answers. It wasn’t written on the “victory” side of things. It’s vulnerable and a little bit messy. Listen in as the couple joins Cameron to talk about the project, their journeys—and even geeking out a little at the Grammys.
On today’s show, we talk with Bryan and Katie Torwalt about their powerful new album Praise Before My Breakthrough and the inspiration behind its most meaningful songs. The gang also hears about Merriam Webster’s 2018 word of the year, listens to Amy Grant’s Christmas-themed “Tiny Desk” concert, discusses the importance of sabbaticals and a lot more!

It is easy to give God the praise He so rightfully deserves when things are going well in our lives, but what about when we can’t see past our current situation? How do we tell God how good He is when we are feeling so bad? The last few weeks have been very challenging for Luke because of some health issues he has with his back. In the midst of such a troubling time, God has shown him just how important it is that we keep our eyes focused on Him and stay thankful for all that God has done. Join us today as we talk about a new song that came out at just the right time, and the Psalmist David who teaches us that God deserves our praise no matter what situation we are facing. In this episode we discuss: 1. How Andi and her family took a massive leap of faith 2. The possibility of misplaced worship 3. The story behind Fake or Follower Favorite quotes: 1. We misplace our worship whether that's of self or fame, or more modern culture, or our jobs, or relationships, or emotional highs and addiction above God and we start bowing down to these things and forget to surrender our lives to God and they take over. 2. I wanted to control everything. Control every circumstance and situation and feel safe and to go on an adventure. We say we wanted adventure. We said, "God, I surrender to you. Take me wherever, to do whatever you want." Then when he does, were like, "No not like that. I have this other way that you should do it." In this episode I answer these questions: 1. What is your best advice for raising siblings that actually like each other? (35:55) 2. What do you do when you feel overwhelmed by what God has asked me to do? (43:13) 3. How can I get comfortable with the concept that I need to build my platform for myself and my business? (46:09) Links to great things we discussed 1. Andi Andrew 2. Fake or Follow3.
