God chose to reveal the birth of his Son to Jews and Gentiles. God sent angels to announce Christ’s birth to shepherds (Jews) and He used a miraculous star to lead the Magi (Gentiles) to Christ. Both Jew and Gentile hearts were moved by their experience. According to the prophet Isaiah, the epiphany of our Lord continues yet today as God reveals Himself to people through His Word and Sacraments.
The Magi followed the star to meet the newborn King. The cast of characters in the story react differently to the news of this promised king.

It is common for people to place the Magi next to the shepherds in the nativity sets displayed in their homes, even though Matthew clearly points to a later date for their arrival. The Gentile Magi spent several months traveling hundreds of miles in search of the King of the Jews, while the people to whom He was promised show little to no interest in His arrival. The Gentile seekers desire to worship Him, while Herod, the half-Jewish king, seeks to destroy Him.

How is Jesus making you strong like "The Picture of Dorian Grey"?
Who owns the church? Jesus? Us? Both?
Do you own the mission of God? Does it show in how you work in that mission? Jesus gives His disciples a mission to own.
