Is there something you know God is calling you to do — but you just haven't done it yet? A conversation you've been avoiding. A step you've been putting off. A river you can see but won't cross. In this message from our Uncharted: A Study in Joshua series, we look at two people in Joshua 2 and 3 who faced that exact moment — and what happened when they finally stepped in.Rahab had no safety net. The priests had no guarantee. But both of them stepped out in faith — and neither of them regretted it.The miracle doesn't come before the step. It comes after.Whatever your Jordan River is — this message is for you.
Jesus Alone – Mark 14:32-72 by Redemption Church
What if the greatest evangelist in your church isn't the person on stage? In John 4, the Samaritan woman encounters Jesus at a well and everything changes. She wasn't a pastor, theologian, missionary, or Bible scholar. She had a complicated past, a broken reputation, and more questions than answers. Yet after one encounter with Jesus, she became one of the first people in Scripture to bring an entire city to Christ. This powerful message from Pastor Byron Ellis explores how evangelism is not about having all the answers. It's about sharing what Jesus has done in your life. The Samaritan woman teaches us that God loves using ordinary people with imperfect stories to reach others with the Gospel. If you've ever felt unqualified, ashamed, or afraid to talk about your faith, this sermon will encourage you to take your next step in sharing Jesus with the people around you. Your testimony may be the bridge God uses to change someone else's eternity. Serving God is not just about getting something done. God cares about the heart behind the hands. In this message from 1 Timothy 3:8–13, Pastor Robbey teaches what it really means to serve God with humility, faithfulness, and a heart shaped by Christ. Deacons are not called to chase titles, recognition, or control. They are called to serve because Jesus first served us.When God uses a servant publicly, He first shapes them privately. And when we serve others well, God changes us in the process.Big idea: Serving them changes me.Text SERVE to 618-983-5237 to get started serving at Redemption Church.#PastorRobbey #RedemptionChurch #Sermon #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #1Timothy #ServantLeadership #ServeGod #ChurchLeadership #Faith #Jesus

In this episode of The Image Podcast, Brandon explores a thought-provoking topic that emerged from a sermon by Pastor Rory: why does Jesus speak so strongly about protecting children? Drawing from the science behind Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Brandon unpacks the well-established connection between childhood trauma and long-term physical, emotional, and spiritual health outcomes. Through the lens of Matthew 18:6, this episode connects the words of Jesus with modern biology, neuroscience, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. For more information about Redemption Church or The Image Podcast, visit redemptionwv.com.

https://youtu.be/nzWe9M6kW30?si=9W3WaEUmFv8eo6aC I was racing to the Emergency Room… If you will allow me to be real and transparent, it felt over. I thank God every day that my son was revived. And I also know some families do not get that outcome. I'm sharing this story because I know what it feels like… when it feels too late. Welcome to Easter at Redemption Church. We are glad you are here. You heard one of the darkest stories of my life. I know We all have dark stories. Stories where it felt too late. Your stories may be present… Groceries and gas are up. Paychecks are the same. Debt feels permanent. A lost job, or hours got cut. Unstable. Health is trending the wrong way Relationship disasters A cold marriage Anxiety is constant, and exhaustion is real. Regret is heavy, and self-forgiveness feels impossible. It feels too late. “Too late” starts deciding Too late does not just describe how you feel. It starts deciding what you do. You stop trying. You stop asking for help. You stop praying with expectation. You stop believing anything can change. And that's the problem with too late – it sounds like a conclusion. The end of the story…“Game over man… game over…” But Easter is not game over…The resurrection shows us that Jesus does not do dead ends. Let's go to John 20 to learn about the 1st Easter. John 20 says Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark. She was not headed to Church service, but a tomb. She was not rejoicing, but morning. The first Easter morning – and nobody is expecting a miracle. Nobody woke up thinking today is the day everything changes.Nobody showed up with faith that, Jesus is about to rise. It felt over. Mary was coming to visit a dead body. Mary sees the stone rolled away.“Praise the Lord Jesus is alive…” Nope She sees the empty tomb.“God is so faithful…” Nope She even sees two angels sitting where Jesus had been laid.“She cries ‘they stole Jesus' body.” John 20:11-13 (NIV)11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don't know where they have put him.” NOTICE THIS…Mary is experiencing the Resurrection Story but does even realize it… because “TOO LATE” was making her decisions. Stone rolled away. Empty tomb. Two angels… And she is still in grief. Still confused. Still assuming the worst. The Easter story was not driven by strong faith. It was driven by a strong Savior. This is not a story where everybody believed perfectly and then Jesus rose.Jesus rose while they were still doubting. Still grieving, confused, assuming it was over. So if your faith is shaky today, hear me clearly. You are in the right place. If you came in barely believing, you are in the same story. If you came in worn out, skeptical, disappointed, or numb… Because the resurrection does not start with their faith. It starts with His power. Back to John 20 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. It is starting to get ridiculous. She sees the resurrected Lord… still nothing. 15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” So Mary is looking at Jesus… and her best guess is landscaper. The resurrection story had already begun.Mary had a front row seat. But she still thought it was over. God could be moving.Doors could be opening.Hope could be closer than we think. When “too late” has been making your decisions, you do not interpret life through resurrection. You interpret everything through loss. I have a question for us. When does the resurrection start for Mary? Evidence? No.Stone rolled away. Tomb empty. Supernatural? No.Two angels. Here is when the resurrection starts for Mary. John 20:16 (NIV)16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, Rabboni (which means Teacher). That's the moment. Not when the tomb is empty. Not when the angels show up.Not even when Jesus is standing right in front of her. The resurrection becomes real for her when Jesus makes it personal. When He says her name. That is what I want people to hear today. Resurrection is not just an event you hear about. It is a Savior who knows you.And calls you by name. Happy Easter… but here is the truth. You do not need another Easter sermon. You do not need another song. You do not need another religious gathering. You need to hear His voice.Hear His Voice Because the resurrection did not become real to Mary when the tomb was empty. It became real when Jesus called her name. Practice 1: Make roomYou cannot hear a voice you never make space for. This week: Five minutes. One prayer: Jesus, I am listening. Then sit in silence. Practice 2: Get specificGeneral prayers rarely touch specific pain. This week: Name the one place that feels too late. Pray: Jesus, speak life here. Practice 3: Hear Him with peopleGod often uses community to turn the volume up.This week: Don't carry this alone. Ask for prayer. Get with people. That's how Jesus brings life back. What if it is NOT TOO LATE?This is what life looks like on the other side of too late. People start hearing Jesus again.-stop pretending they are fine.-stop suffering in silence.-start taking one step at a time toward life. Homes start to change.Anxiety does not get the steering wheel.Debt is faced with wisdom and support.Relationships get honest.Faith comes back online. Resurrection Life can start for you right now. CALL TO ACTION – RESPOND TO HIS VOICE Jesus is alive. Do you feel him reaching out to you? Here's what we're asking you to do. 1) COME FOR PRAYER If you need prayer for anything – anxiety, grief, addiction, marriage, finances, health – come forward when we open the response moment.Do not leave carrying it alone. 2) SAY YES TO JESUS If today is your day to follow Jesus – for the first time, or for the first time in a long time – come forward and tell someone on our team. We want to pray with you and help you take the next step. And maybe you are not ready to come forward… 3) TAKE A CLEAR NEXT STEP BEFORE YOU LEAVE If you are not ready to come forward, use the connection card. Check one box before you leave: I want to follow Jesus I want to learn about baptism I need prayer I want a phone call Turn it in today. We will follow up.

How do you lead well in church ministry when you care deeply about people but aren't the final decision maker? In this episode of the Care Ministry Podcast, Laura Howe sits down for one of her monthly coaching conversations with Lacey Reaves, a ministry leader serving in small groups at Redemption Church in South Carolina. Together they explore a leadership challenge many ministry leaders face: how to faithfully care for people while navigating leadership structures, shifting ministry needs, and the realities of leading from what Laura calls the messy middle of ministry. Lacey shares openly about her experience of burnout and what she learned about carrying ministry differently. Laura reflects on how sustainable care ministry requires leaders to care deeply for people while also recognizing the burdens they were never meant to carry alone. If you've ever felt the tension of trying to lead, care for people, and navigate church leadership dynamics at the same time, this coaching conversation offers encouragement and practical perspective for sustaining ministry over the long term. Quotes “I knew that I still cared about people, but I felt that I had lost the capacity to care effectively because I myself needed care.” –Lacey Reaves “I found that I am still called, but I may need to learn how to carry the calling differently.” –Lacey Reaves “Ministry rarely happens in clean and simple ways. Most of the time we're leading in complicated spaces with changing needs, limited resources, and leadership structures.” –Laura Howe “There's a wisdom that develops when we stay deeply compassionate toward people while recognizing that we are not their savior.” –Laura Howe Resources Joyfully Free Journey Podcast (Lacey Reaves) Care Ministry Collective (Free Online Community) Care Ministry Cohort HMS Amazon store

Who is Jesus—really? In John 1:14–18, the Bible makes one of the most shocking and life-changing claims in human history: God became flesh and stepped into our world. Not as a distant force, but as a person. Not to condemn us, but to reveal Himself and rescue us. In this powerful message, Pastor Byron Ellis shares 3 mind-blowing truths about Jesus that will challenge what you think you know and invite you into something more than religion—a real, personal, life-changing relationship with God. You'll discover: • How Jesus reveals what God is really like • Why grace replaces guilt, shame, and striving • What it means that Jesus makes the invisible God known This isn't just theology. This is an invitation. If you've ever wondered if God is real, if He cares, or if you can truly know Him—this message is for you. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory…” — John 1:14 — Subscribe for more life-changing messages: [Your Channel Link] New here?
