Joey shared that his mother-in-law became concerned after seeing a video of Rich Bailey giving him $2 for a cheeseburger after Joey joked about sticking to the family budget at the end of the month. The conversation somehow turned into the possibility of a future stash of grandma-funded gift cards. Nancy discovered that sending a birthday invitation graphic to a group text does not automatically count as an RSVP for Joey. The misunderstanding led to a funny debate about how differently men and women interpret texted invitations for her grandson Grayson’s first birthday party. Hot Tea: Wynonna Judd revealed she learned on TikTok that daughter Grace Kelley may have another baby on the way. Luke Combs says he lost 30 pounds to prepare for an elk hunt in Utah. Nancy also shared the shocking story of an Ohio woman who became a double amputee after a hospital mistakenly removed the wrong leg before performing the correct surgery. A student from Principal Matt Barger’s school called the show and rated him an 8 out of 10 on the scary scale. The student said everyone knows they have messed up when Mr. Barger “turns red,” although he also described him as a good principal. Joey brought in WOKI’s Bob Yarbrough to react to a viral parody about news anchors all sounding alike. Bob then dusted off his old TV-news voice and dramatically read the Lucky 7 contest script, proving he still has his anchor delivery. Lucky 7 won $50 to the Copper Cellar family of restaurants Joey and Nancy discussed the dramatic Flydubai incident in which a co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain during flight. Former pilot Nancy explained how extreme a 17,000-foot descent in two minutes would be and called it remarkable that passengers, crew members, and off-duty pilots were able to help save the aircraft. The show announced Riley Green tickets for his April 30, 2027 show at Food City Center. Listeners were told to text “Riley” for a chance to win before tickets officially go on sale, and winners must answer the phone with the phrase “I want you in the worst way.” Group Therapy featured Abby, who is frustrated that her mother disciplines Abby’s 7-year-old son before Abby has a chance to handle situations herself. Well, it seems lots of Mustang people liked our recent announcement that the Mustang Owner's Podcast was planning to sponsor the official re-launch of the International Council of Mustang Clubs (ICMC) with a Club Summit Meeting at the Halderman Museum this fall. Our guest this episode is an ordained pastor and journalist who's traveled the country speaking to conservative Christians and facilitating discussions about politics and division. But she's come to believe those efforts are ineffective, and has shifted her focus to combatting Christian Nationalism. This is episode 6 in Making Peace Visible's special series, Beyond Polarization. In episodes 1 through 5, we spoke to Americans invested in bridging political divides through journalism, social media, higher education and in civil society. This episode, with a spotlight on religion, examines the limits of trying to find common cause with people you disagree with. Rev. Angela Denker is an ordained Lutheran pastor and a journalist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She's the author of two books: Red State Christians (2019), and Disciples of White Jesus: The Radicalization of American Boyhood (2025). Having grown up with a mix of Baptist, Evangelical and mainline Protestant influences, Angela eventually embraced a more liberal Christianity and progressive politics.While researching her first book, she saw some openness to dialogue and empathy for immigrants, for instance. But she says, by and large, efforts at bridge building between liberal and conservative Christians have fallen flat.Her second book focuses on the threat of Christian Nationalism, particularly among young white men and boys. In this interview, Denker speaks about why she thinks there are more important threats to the country and the church than polarization. And she makes a case for why we should be paying more attention to the role of religion in American politics today. A major DPS failure has left an unknown number of Texas voter registration applications and updates stranded for nearly a year, and the state has dumped tens of thousands of records onto already-overburdened county election offices just weeks before the election. Under pressure, counties must now sort and verify the backlog, while ensuring old or duplicate information doesn't overwrite newer voter records. As this DPS failure dates back to October of 2025 (at least), it may already have affected primary voters in March and May. Established in the late 1800s, the Ahmadiyya movement follows the teachings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, whom they believe to be the promised Messiah. If you're spending on staff, marketing, and extras without a clear revenue goal or follow-up plan, you may be hosting a nice party instead of a profitable campaign. We cover patient appreciation events, VIP experiences, referral partnerships, and how to measure event ROI beyond RSVPs. Start With the Goal, Not the Guest List Decide what the event needs to accomplish before you plan it. Are you reactivating patients, launching a treatment, building membership loyalty, or generating consultations? Set the financial target first, then work backward into attendance, conversion, and budget.
