You may be shocked to learn that of San Diego County cities Encinitas is closest to meeting its housing goals. That’s right. The bad boy of North County with a history of failing to follow housing laws is actually building homes. Housing, or lack of, is among the top issues in our region and senior investigative reporter Will Huntsberry has spent months analyzing housing data. He’s here to dish on his findings. Also, we’ve gone over how there are far fewer kids in San Diego schools than there were a decade ago. We’ll explain what school leaders are doing to address enrollment decline. Today I wanted to answer a great question that I received from a student. It's a simple one on the surface, but it opens the door to an important conversation about how we are approaching wholesale as product-based business owners.  Here's the question Lindsay asked: I just opened on Faire recently. Am I supposed to be pitching my products? I'm a total newbie.  The simple answer here is yes. You should always be pitching your products proactively to stores. But there's a lot more to unpack here, and that's what I want to do on the podcast today.  Before we do, I want to invite you to a free workshop that I'm hosting on August 12th at 9am PT. This is a brand new workshop that I recently put together.  This summer's wholesale buying season has been very eye-opening for me. As someone who has been in the wholesale game for over 17 years and I've worked closely with tens of thousands of wholesale brands that are thriving. It gives me a unique viewpoint to spot mistakes and missed opportunities.  But more importantly, it allows me to open up solutions and potential opportunities for those of you who are facing a sales slump. The market is changing, and our strategies need to shift with it. In this free workshop, I'm going to talk about how you can land consistent wholesale orders without over-reliying on Faire, without sending out bad wholesale pitches, and without discounting.  If this sounds like something you want to participate in, you can RSVP for this free workshop, at http://prooftoproduct.com/rsvp  You can view full show notes and more at http://prooftoproduct.com/405  Quick Links: Free Wholesale Audio Series Free Resources Library Free Email Marketing for Product Makers PTP LABS Paper Camp

The practice of inviting God into our presence may be something many of us have done and may still do without stopping to think much about it. There are various phrases used when the invitation is extended but they all pretty much imply that God isn't with us, and we would like Him to show up and make some sort of appearance. God never leaves you. He doesn't come and go. The "worship" environment we try to create within our surroundings has nothing to do with it. Prayer is not meant to be a monologue, nor should it be like trying to leave a heavenly voicemail. He doesn't need to send an RSVP to our invitation because He has invited us into *His* presence. His favorite thing to do is hang out with His children—at all times—while guiding us into the truth of Jesus and bringing comfort, peace, and joy. --Available on Amazon - "Clash of The Covenants: Escaping Religious Bondage Through the Grace Guarantee" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0713ZSKY7

Email us: Will@faithfulpoliticspodcast.comWhat happens when the church adopts the worldview of its cultural critics?According to recent data, nearly 60% of American Christians now say it's more important to be “kind” than to uphold biblical truth. But what if that kindness is shaped by a secularism that quietly undermines Christian convictions? In this episode of Faithful Politics, we sit down with Dr. John West—author of Stockholm Syndrome Christianity and VP of the Discovery Institute—to explore how secular assumptions have infiltrated the church from within. West, a longtime scholar of politics, religion, and science, argues that many church leaders have internalized a materialist worldview that strips faith of its power to transform. We talk homelessness, public policy, marriage, religious liberty, and why Christians need to recover a holistic view of human dignity—not just “throw money at problems.” It's a thought-provoking dialogue on the tensions between compassion, conviction, and cultural conformity.

From pricing and positioning to finding your first clients and building support systems, Erin and Jessi walk through what it really takes to thrive as a consultant. They also tackle the big questions: How do you know if consulting is right for you? What's the best way to price your work? How do you talk about what you do in 10 words or less? What role does community play in solo success? How do you shift between full-time work and consulting as your career evolves? Whether you're just starting out or thinking about a pivot, this episode offers practical advice, clarity, and confidence for building your independent career—especially in an uncertain job market.
