Last week's episode of NXT was a pretty solid until we got to the end of the show, but i'll be discussing all of that in this week's episode of LAST WEEK/THIS WEEK. In Episode 176 of the Young Lion's Perspective, I not only talk about what happened with last week's episode of NXT, I preview two huge matches that are going down tomorrow night as well as go on close to a 20-minute rant on why no one should give a damn about WWE Elimination Chamber as I present my preview and predictions for this Sunday's PPV. WWE's last pay-per-view of the Year is going down this Sunday and I for one am not as hyped about WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs as a regular fan of the product is. Not by a long shot. But nonetheless, Episode 142 of the Young Lion's Perspective podcast has arrived as I discuss my thoughts on this Sunday's PPV as well as making my predictions for the seven-match card (that we know of) including my thoughts on Roman Reigns vs King Corbin, sensing an interesting theme throughout the episode, what match I chose for my Dark Horse Match of the Night and much, much more. In honour of Raw's longest match ever and Seth Rollins setting the record for longest time ever spent in a match, the #goodfriends are back with their longest episode ever! Unless you count the 2017 Best Of as two parts of one episode. Which I guess technically they are, but I don't really think of them that way, you know? We touch on the rumours that WWE wants to sign Rob Gronkowski off the hop before settling into the usual three rounds discussing the top 3 stories in the world of professional wrestling. And this week they are: 1. The end of split-brand PPVs. WWE announces that after the road to WrestleMania, brand specific PPV events will be no more, with one five-hour show per month shared by Raw and SmackDown. But is this a good idea? We discuss. 2. The Gauntlet Match. Though we try not to be a weekly recap show, this week it's hard not be. Raw tried something radically different this week, with nearly two hours straight of nothing but in-ring action that had some fans wondering "What's the point?" We break down the highs and lows of the longest match in Raw history. 3. WWE Elimination Chamber preview. Of course that long match was to set the stage for Sunday's PPV. We look over the card, make our predictions and gage our hype levels. All that plus listener questions have us picking our dream Chamber math and making the case for why Asuka is important, and the triumphant return of Sunday Night Tweet! It's just what the world needed: another wrestling podcast. Top Marks is now on Patreon!
