I've been walking in the rain to settle my restless, anxious spirit. I live in Washington. It rains. If don't walk in the rain I'd probably never walk.   As I walked I reflected on something my teacher Thich Nhat Hanh said about people and the sturdiness of trees, “When you look at the tree during the storm you can see that the top of the tree is not solid. You can only see the tiny branches and a number of leaves on the top of the tree swaying back and forth under the effect of the wind. You have the impression that the tree is very vulnerable but if you look down to see the big branches and the trunk of the tree you see that the tree is strongly rooted in the ground. The impression that the tree is vulnerable will vanish. You see that the tree is much more solid than it looks at the top. We are like that, too." Practical Tip: When you feel anxious, uncertain or vulnerable you can practice to get solid and peaceful again. The stability of your body will help bring about the stability of your mind. Sit beautifully and practice saying: “Breathing in I see myself grounded, breathing out I feel solid, peaceful.” And so you will become. Guaranteed. That is why we as Christians need to grow into new levels of maturity, wisdom, and understanding by the Holy Spirit. We must have the mind of Christ that does not judge by what our eyes see and our ears hear in the natural realm. Instead, we are to see and hear in the spirit realm what Christ is disclosing to us from the Father.    Show Notes: Artificial Intelligence (AI), like any other technology, is controlled by humans, meaning it has the potential to be used for good and the same potential to be used for evil. AI is already being helpful in many areas. But its greatest negative impact will come from its ability to affect our perception in ways that were never possible before. It will be increasingly difficult to know if what we are watching is real or not.   Using AI, individuals can be made to appear to be doing things and say things they would never do or say in real life. This would be a powerful means of persecution against Christians if they are realistically portrayed as saying things they never said. So the power of AI to distort our perception is very real. And we are faced with the fact that our natural senses will not give us the true understanding of what is happening in the world. We need to reach into a spiritual maturity that allows us to judge, make decisions, and understand things from a different perspective.   Yeshua (Jesus) did not judge by what His eyes saw or His ears heard. Now more than ever we need to grow up in Christ and have those same attributes. We can no longer afford to be children who are carried away by the trickery of men in craftiness and deceitful scheming. There must be a maturing of the Body of Christ until believers begin to know and understand and see by the Spirit of God. We cannot passively walk with God today. We need to leave our infancy and partake of the solid food of the Word that will mature us into what God wants us to be to this generation.   Key Verses:   •       Isaiah 11:1–3. On the runway, the category is “Beige Against the Machine,” challenging the dolls to elevate one of fashion's most unforgiving colors. After critiques, Jane Don't is named the winner of the challenge. Juicy Love Dion and Athena Love Dion land in the bottom two and lip sync against each other for survival. In the end, Juicy is told “Shantay, you stay,” and Athena is asked to sashay away. In this episode of The Big Takeaway, Joe and Lauri break down the judging, the performances, and whether the producers made the right calls. MAIN DISCUSSION POINTS Did the right queen win? Both Joe and Lauri agree that Jane Don't earned her win. While her personality may divide the room, her comedic timing, vocal performance, and overall command of the Ruzical stood out. Even if she's bracing for the inevitable “target on my back” narrative, the win felt justified. Were the right queens in the bottom? This is where things get contentious. Joe and Lauri question the decision to place Juicy and Athena in the bottom when several other performances felt weaker. The judges claimed they were “splitting hairs,” but that justification opens the door to almost any elimination outcome. The sense is that production may have seized the opportunity to finally pit the Dion sisters against each other. Did the right queen go home? The consensus: probably not.
