No. 7 Ole Miss improved to 8-1 (5-1 SEC) on the season with a 30-14 win over South Carolina (3-6, 1-6) on Saturday. The Rebels have three games remaining in the 2025-26 season and as they continue their fierce push for a College Football Playoff berth. All the while, Lane Kiffin continues to dominate coaching carousel rumors. In the end, if Ole Miss keeps taking care of its business, all that noise will take care of itself. The Ole Miss Spirit's Ben Garrett and Brad Logan are LIVE after the win and Kiffin's postgame press conference. Suntarine Perkins had his best game of the season and one of the best of his Ole Miss career. to lead helmet stickers. Plus, Ben and Brad go around the SEC. Mississippi State got its first win in nearly 20 SEC games, while Auburn lost at Kentucky. Hugh Freeze is likely toast. Kiffin flirted heavily with the Tigers in 2022. But, so far, the Rebels are showing no signs of a repeating history. While those Rebels lost four of their last five, Ole Miss has won back-to-back games (and its first of November) following the Rebels' only loss of the season at Georgia. From the Toronto Blue Jays taking an early 3–0 lead on a Bo Bichette homer to the incredible comeback that included a Miguel Rojas game-tying home run in the top of the ninth and the heroics of MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Game 7 had something for every fan.Later, Jake and Jordan share their thoughts on why — regardless of how you feel about the Dodgers — you have to give them credit for assembling the dynasty they've become. From maintaining aircraft records to dealing with bad advice and sub-standard parts, Mike, Paul, and Colleen say being an aircraft owner is one of the hardest jobs in aviation. Email your questions to podcasts@aopa.org for a chance to get on the show. Join the world's largest aviation community at aopa.org/join Full notes below: Randy wants to know if circuit breakers have a life limit. He has a Mooney with about 3,000 hours. He had one that was acting up, and was wondering if he should intentionally exercise or change them on some interval. Paul said he recommends to all his clients that they exercise their breakers every few years, since they do tend to corrode. Just tripping it breaks oxidation off the contacts, he said. If you check the resistance before and after the resistance often goes down. Colleen said she replaces a few breakers during each annual. Gary owns a Lake Amphibian with a IO-360 and he runs with fine wire plugs. At the last annual he found four of his Champion plugs had infinite resistance. They otherwise seemed to function normally. He's wondering what the implications are? Paul said he has boxes old boxes of new Champion plugs that he can't force himself to throw away, but he refuses to give them away either because he doesn't trust them. The hosts said they've seen many problems with Champion fire wire plugs and the insulators. So they've stopped using them and suggest others do as well. They all endorse the massive electrode Champions are just fine, however. Chris helps clients establish aircraft logbooks after they buy their first airplane. Paul said: You should keep as much of the maintenance records as possible for value. Old invoices he puts in a bag and sets them aside. He keeps weight and balance history and it's nice to have a 337 record. Only the current equipment list is necessary. He'll recommend customers organize their own logbooks and not pay him to do it. Colleen also keeps a separate spreadsheet for time in service of all the airplane's components. That makes it easy for inspection, replacement, and for ADs. Mike's records include a big Word doc that includes all his maintenance records and a spreadsheet with the weight and balance, equipment list, and so on. Paul suggests only giving your maintenance provider a thumb drive so they can't hold your logbooks hostage, nor do anything else you don't approve of. Then when you're ready to leave, you get the thumb drive and the sticker to go in the logbook when you get home. Paul read an article that advised against leaning too quickly and leading to washboarding of cylinders. Mike thinks that came from an old service bulletin. He said it needs to be taken in context. They were talking about heating the cylinder too fast. They weren't talking about the transition from rich of peak to lean of peak, but rather a very rich mixture to a slightly less rich mixture. The piston heats faster than the cylinder barrel, and it expands faster than the cylinder. The piston could potentially cause metal to metal contact.

Lane Kiffin is the hottest name in what is already one of the wildest coaching carousels in college football history. But Tony ‘Mr. College Football' Barnhart wouldn't be surprised to see Kiffin stick around at Ole Miss. Kiffin, the fastest Ole Miss coach to 50 wins in history, is a leading candidate for openings at both Florida and LSU. Sources indicate Florida is far and away the biggest threat of the two. Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz is the betting favorite for the Florida job, according to Bet Online. Tulane's Jon Sumrall is the betting favorite for LSU.However, Barnhart told Ole Miss Spirit contributor Brad Logan that Kiffin's decision may be tougher than most realize given the unique situation he's built in Oxford.No. 7 Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1 SEC) hosts South Carolina (3-5, 1-5) Saturday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Kiffin isn't the only coach in the game dealing with silly-season rumors.Logan is also joined by Grayson Weir of BroBile to talk all things Ole Miss and SEC football. Our Sponsors:* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Another week, another pair of defeats and no sign of it coming to an end any time soon. On this week's Scouser Tommies Jim Boardman and Jay Reid are frustrated with what is fast becoming a serious crisis. Five months after parading the Premier League trophy around the streets of Liverpool, why are Arne Slot and his players making it look like it never happened? Defeats against Brentford and Palace, six goals conceded across the two games, out of the cup, 7th in the league, Anfield miserable and not just because of the biblical rain swirling down onto the pitch. Was it right to play the kids in the League Cup, to guarantee going out and leave some room in the calendar for rest? Or was this the one time to go big so early in this competition, stop the slide? Playing the kids made it easier to come up with an excuse, but is it time to stop sharing excuses and start coming up with answers? There isn't just one big problem with Liverpool right now, It's a multitude of smaller ones and so many of them feel avoidable. And so many have responsibility for that, even if all eyes are on the one man who has to try and explain all these defeats to fans through the media. Words can be powerful and the hosts are worried about how much damage some words, unintentionally, might just be doing. One example of those problems the hosts point to is just how much the Reds are missing their last No.7 - his enthusiasm, his determination, his ability to get fans on their feet as he fights for a win. Where is the fight now? And where is the plan? The current No.7 is a different kind of player, expected to play a very different role, but has anyone worked out what that is? That No.7 shirt is huge at this club, worn by arguably the greatest man in Liverpool FC history; a player, a manager, a part of the very fabric of this club. Kenny Dalglish of course, who has a movie coming out next week all about his life and especially his time at Anfield. The movie shows The King's ability to balance self belief and confidence with his humility and trademark humour, and gives viewers a real insight into the philosophy that this club is rooted in. The hosts discuss how much the current incumbent of one of the biggest jobs in world football, and his charges, could learn from the great man and his career. Watching the movie would be a good start, but maybe they could do with some one on ones. The hosts aren't saying Arne should go and get coaching hints from The King, or that players should get lessons in how to defend set pieces from him, but there is so much the great man could talk to them about that might just inspire them, might just help him, might just see them through the most pressure some of them have ever been under. And there are other legends who could offer insight that isn't in the coaching manuals. Also in this week's episode Jim and Jay look at the idea of using a back three - as seen in the League Cup - and look at the options for who could make up that three if it was transferred to the big games. What might it bring, what would it take away, would there be potential to give decent service to the front men the club now has? Would it give the Reds the stability needed to get out of this rut? Huge games lie in front of the Champions now, starting with Aston Villa and followed in rapid succession by Real Madrid and then Manchester City, before another international break arrives to interrupt it all. Do Liverpool need tweaks or upheaval, and what might a credible “stop the bleeding” plan actually look like? As always, no matter how bad it gets for us, our old mates from down by the river always manage to find a way to cheer us up. Not that they mean to. Learn more about your ad choices. To honor his memory we are rereleasing episode 93 featuring former NFL Pro Bowler, Nick Mangold who joined us to talk barbecue and football. On the same episode we had former MLB pitcher, Jerry Reuss who pitched in the Major Leagues for 22 years. Nick Mangold played center in the National Football League for 11 years as a member of the New York Jets, was a seven time Pro Bowl selection and considered by many to be one of the best at his position. He also makes one heck of a BBQ sauce and is determined to have his sauce take its place among the finest and most well known names on store shelves everywhere. The passion with which he played football is the same passion he gives Seventy Four BBQ (74 BBQ), which are the line-up of sauces he is rolling out. We had fun speaking with Nick regarding his playing career and how he transformed from a home kitchen sauce maker into a sauce king who is managing to make others take notice as he puts out a superb tasting product. What does family planning and a beard have to do with 74 BBQ? Listen and you will find out. Jerry Reuss pitched for 22 years in the Major Leagues, finishing his career with 220 wins and a World Series Championship as a member of the 1981 Los Angeles Dodgers. Along the way, he pitched a no-hitter, amassed 1,907 strikeouts, a 3.64 ERA, and was a two-time All Star. He is the author of the book, Bring in the Right Hander, a well-known prankster, and appeared with some of his 1981 World Serious Champion Dodgers on the television show, Solid Gold as they sang “We are the Champions.” 22 years in the Major Leagues does not go by without having a few stories, and we were glad to listen to as many as Jerry would tell We recommend you go to Rogue Cookers website, https://roguecookers.com/ for award-winning rubs, Baseball BBQ, https://baseballbbq.com for special grilling tools and accessories, Magnechef https://magnechef.com/ for excellent and unique barbecue gloves, Cutting Edge Firewood High Quality Kiln Dried Firewood - Cutting Edge Firewood in Atlanta for high quality firewood and cooking wood, Mantis BBQ, https://mantisbbq.com/ to purchase their outstanding sauces with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Kidney Project, and for exceptional sauces, Elda's Kitchen https://eldaskitchen.com/ We truly appreciate our listeners and hope that all of you are staying safe. The October 30 edition of the AgNet News Hour spotlighted one of the most promising voices in California's agricultural education — Cody Jacobson, Dean of Agriculture and Industrial Technology at Merced College. Hosts Nick Papagni and Josh McGill described Jacobson as a “boots-on-the-ground” leader who bridges the gap between traditional farming and the future of ag technology. Jacobson, who still farms more than 100 acres of almonds in La Grande, told listeners that real-world experience shapes everything he does as an educator. “I'm a farmer first,” he said. “That's why when we teach, it's not just theory — it's what's happening right now in the field.” Jacobson also raises sheep and comes from a family of livestock producers, giving him deep roots in Central Valley agriculture. At Merced College, Jacobson oversees one of the state's most diverse agriculture programs, spanning animal science, ag business, crop and plant science, horticulture, mechanized ag, and ag education. He also leads a rapidly growing Ag Tech Program, which trains students for emerging roles in precision farming, automation, and food processing. “We're building the workforce California agriculture will depend on,” Jacobson explained. “Whether it's digital literacy, equipment operation, or AI-driven ag systems — our students are ready to step into those jobs right away.” The college is now constructing a cutting-edge Ag Innovation Center, which will feature a meat processing facility, tree-nut and produce processing labs, a nutrition and product-development center, and a retail farm market. The facility will house optical sorters, robotic palletizers, autonomous conveyors, and advanced quality-control tools — giving students the hands-on experience they need to meet the industry's rising demand for tech-skilled workers. Jacobson emphasized that his mission goes beyond teaching technology — it's about preserving agriculture itself. “If we take away farming, small towns like La Grande will disappear,” he said. “Our job is to make sure the next generation knows how vital agriculture is to California's future.” A proud FFA and 4-H alumnus, Jacobson credits those programs for shaping his leadership path and continues to recruit students through FFA and high-school outreach. “You don't have to grow up on a farm to love farming,” he said. “FFA teaches communication, leadership, and respect — skills that help in every career.” Papagni closed the show calling Jacobson “one of the best guests we've had all year,” and McGill agreed: “What they're building at Merced College is the blueprint for keeping California farming strong.”

At the Crexendo UGM, Sam Sklaroff, CEO of Axxess Networks, joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to share how his company blends classic customer service values with cutting-edge communications technology. Axxess Networks, a leading provider of VoIP, UCaaS, and CCaaS solutions, stands out for what Sklaroff calls an old-school approach to customer care. “Whatever happened to good old-fashioned customer service?” Sklaroff asked. “At Axxess Networks, we treat every customer like family—from onboarding to support—and we make sure they're ready for success before the first call goes live.” Each Axxess customer is assigned a personal project manager and dedicated IT engineer to ensure network readiness and a smooth installation. “Our help desk is all U.S.-based,” Sklaroff noted. “Last week, our average time to answer was 13 seconds. When you call Axxess Networks, we're here for you.” The company's commitment to service extends to technological innovation. Sklaroff revealed Axxess' proprietary Live Failover feature—an automatic system that keeps calls active even if a customer's internet connection fails. “If your internet goes down, your calls don't,” he said. “In under one second, we switch to LTE with no dropped calls and no extra usage fees. One of our customers stayed fully operational for a week during a fiber outage.” Sklaroff also announced that Janet Schijns, a well-known channel leader, recently joined Axxess Networks' board of directors, marking another milestone in the company's growth. Axxess maintains strong partnerships with Crexendo and NetSapiens, and continues to advance in areas such as AI and vCon technology, with plans to launch new vCon apps later this year. “Technology evolves, but people still matter most,” Sklaroff said. “That's what drives us—service with a human touch.” To learn more about Axxess Networks' UCaaS and Live Failover solutions, visit www.axxessnetworks.com.
At the Crexendo UGM, Amy Humphreys, Chief Operating Officer at Simplicity VoIP, joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to discuss her company's customer-first approach, its long-standing partnership with NetSapiens, and the innovations shaping its growth in UCaaS, texting, and AI. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Virginia, Simplicity VoIP provides unified communications solutions to businesses of all sizes across the U.S., maintaining a fully onshore support team. Humphreys explained that after starting as a 3CX reseller, Simplicity sought more flexibility and scalability — a search that led them to NetSapiens in 2016. “NetSapiens is a true partner,” she said. “They're constantly helping us future-proof our business by adding new functionality and third-party integrations like vFax, video, and texting.” Attending Crexendo UGM, Humphreys emphasized the importance of connecting with platform leadership and staying ahead of innovation. “We came to see what's next — especially around AI, texting, and mobility,” she said. “It's about understanding where the industry is heading so we can bring richer user experiences to our customers.” A highlight of the conversation was Simplicity's success in text messaging solutions, including both native NetSapiens texting and large-scale bulk SMS through MessageMedia. “We have one client who started with 60,000 text messages a month,” Humphreys shared. “They're now doing over half a million a month. Texting has exploded — even small use cases like group messaging for schools create real value.” Humphreys also outlined emerging AI opportunities in areas such as patient referral automation, where voicemail messages are transcribed and converted into digital documents for faster workflows. “That's just the tip of the iceberg,” she said. Simplicity's “super seller” model has further expanded its reach. This hybrid program allows VARs and MSPs to deliver UCaaS under their own brand without the heavy upfront investment of a platform purchase. “We give our partners full control of the customer domain — they build it, sell it, and support it,” Humphreys explained. “We handle the porting, billing, taxation, and compliance. It's been a win-win, and we even have a case study showcasing the first super seller's success.” Reflecting on her industry journey, Humphreys credited Technology Reseller News as a valuable learning tool early in her career. “Reading TR every day helped me understand the industry when I was new,” she said. “It's still part of my daily routine.” To learn more about Simplicity VoIP's UCaaS, texting, and partner programs, visit www.simplicityvoip.net.
