Comme me l’a dit Samia, sa mère lui confectionnait les plus beaux déguisements de carnaval de toute l’école, et elle fut un modèle de force à travers son histoire et toutes les valeurs qu’elle incarnait. La passion de Samia pour la mode est ainsi née très tôt… mais elle s’est aussi rapidement demandé comment allier ses valeurs éthiques avec une industrie qui peut exploiter et gaspiller. Je ne sais pas si vous vous souvenez mais lors de la dernière Fashion week de Paris, une activiste a infiltré le défilé de Dior, pour dénoncer les pratiques de l’industrie textile. Elle faisait partie de l’organisation XR Fashion Action France, lancée par Samia en avril, une branche de l’organisation engagée née au Royaume Uni. Avec Samia on a parlé d’activisme, du groupe Extinction Rebellion et de culpabilité.
