I know I say this a lot, but I'm constantly excited about the guests that I have on the show. I'm extra excited about today's guest, Alicia Sinclair. She's also a Certified Sex Coach. We went through the same program at Sex Coach U. Sinclair is the CEO and founder of Children of the Revolution, which holds the brand's b vibe, Le Wand, and The Cowgirl. She'd already been in the sex toy industry for a long time before becoming a Sexologist, and when she saw that there were some holes to fill in that industry (wink, wink), specifically about pleasure education, she got her certification and started her own companies, and a pleasure revolution while she's at it. She believes heavily that education and pleasure go hand in hand. If you don't feel like you have learned enough about anal from me and my podcast, then you need to check out their Anal Academy. Also since it's Women's History Month, I asked her about women in history that she looks up to. We also discussed overcoming vibrator objections, favorite positions for integrating vibes with a partner, and what's next in sex tech. I've rescued this unreleased mix, recorded in 2014, from the vaults. Starting out with some glam rock classics, it detours into some of my fave tracks of that year from Johnny Marr, TV on the Radio and Mando Diao, before finishing in a glorious sugar rush of 80s synthpop Paul Engemann, Gianni Rossi & Robert Palmer. 1) Tame Impala - Elephant 2) T.Rex - Hot Love 3) Muse - Uprising 4) David Bowie - The Jean Genie 5) Goldfrapp - Strict Machine 6) T.Rex - 20th Century Boy 7) Whitey - Leave Then All Behind 8) TV on the Radio - Happy Idiot 9) Johnny Marr - Easy Money 10) Death From Above 1979 - Trainwreck 1979 11) Juliette & The Licks - Got Love to Kill (MSTRKRFT remix) 12) The Wombats - Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves) 13) Starship - We Built This City 14) The Young Professionals - Video Games 15) OMD - Enola Gay 16) Adanowsky - Dancing to the Radio 17) Bruce Springsteen - Dancing in the Dark 18) Mando Diao - Black Saturday 19) Poison - Rock and Roll All Nite 20) Peaches - Rock Show 21) Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child 22) Paul Engemann - Push It to the Limit 23) Gianni Rossi - Theme From Star Vehicle 24) Robert Palmer - Johnny & Mary 25) The War on Drugs - Red Eyes

Children of the Revolution A Spiritual Journey to Burma and Buddhism – A Powerful and Compelling Story of Heroism & Hope By Feroze Dada. Endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Children of the Revolution is a truly inspiring story about Feroze Dada, a Chartered Accountant from London, and his chance meeting with a freedom fighter and a Buddhist monk in Myanmar which transforms the lives of a great many orphaned and abandoned children being looked after in a remote monastery on the shores of Lake Inle by making the monastery financially independent – setting up a drinking water bottling plant and establishing a teaching programme. At the same time, the journey they take provides him with a deep and enduring sense of purpose and self-discovery. https://selfdiscoverymedia.com/2018/07/16/th18-29-feroze-dada-author-of-children-of-the-revolution/
A look at how children/youth have been used as key political pieces in causing cultural upheaval in communist regimes of the past, specifically in Maoist China. For those of you who complain about graphic content warnings - despite the fact I keep this thing marked "E" for explicit - consider yourself warned. History is bloody and ugly, let's try not to repeat it, eh? The second is Francisco Goya's "Third of May, 1808." Our Glenn Close mini-season - which we're now dubbing 'Close Encounters of the Glenn Kind' - continues with an episode dedicated to Dangerous Liaisons, in which the actress gives one of her most memorably villainous performances as the scheming aristocrat Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil. Directed by Stephen Frears and co-starring John Malkovich, Michelle Pfeiffer and Uma Thurman, Dangerous Liaisons has it all - intrigue, seduction and many, many wigs. In other words, it should be a perfect Beyond The Box Set movie. Unfortunately, one of us didn't quite end up seeing things that way... Tune into this week's episode to hear our thoughts on bedtime wigs, a classic distracting Keanu Reeves performance, the film's surprisingly abrupt ending and much more, plus drinking games and of course, our sequel pitches. ----- Every week on Beyond The Box Set, we take a look back at a classic standalone movie, and compete to pitch the most ridiculous sequels, prequels and spin-off ideas to bring them back to the big screen. Sometimes it seems that kids today are born with an innate understanding of technologies their parents had to learn. In this presentation, James & Gerry will describe how school children in NSW interact with computers and the Internet. Based primarily on interviews and observational sessions with approximately 100 children in primary and high schools, they will tell a story (that may be surprising to many) of traps and pitfalls and poor design that makes mastery an unnecessarily difficult challenge.
In Iran, the constant drugs crisis and loss of skilled workers contrast with a lively internet scene which harbours poets, political dissidents and religious leaders.
This series explores what life offers to Iran's burgeoning young population who are trapped by conservatism and an ailing economy. In the first programme, we hear how the war with Iraq acted as a continuation of the Revolution.
