A brief and fun look at geographical oddities and points of interest across the globe from the opposite of experts
I won't say much here because I explain it all in the beginning of the episode, but in short this is the first in a series of Dan and myself answering the hard hitting hypotheticals proposed by the Solomonic Chelsea
The title says it all. This was supposed to be an episode about Puerto Rico but on our trip we realized that we didn't all have computers and the idea of doing research on vacation left a bad taste in our mouth. With that said, I predicted correctly that there was magic in the air. Having the boys in person, live on the 1s and 2s meant we filled an hour and a half with a combination of the history of Puerto Rico, a recounting of our trip, and a debate about the world's highest peaks.
Taking some liberties by making that the title, it's really more about electricity as a whole and the problems we face going forward with renewables but this is a special one
Unfortunately Paul's audio stopped recording early on, when he returned his mic had a lot of feedback. Did what I could to fix it but there's some that couldn't be fixed. Our sincere apologies.
Episode 50, folks. BIG milestone. How fitting that we would have the King of Des Moines, Jon Saveraid on to talk shop about the circulatory system of the country.
Paul takes the reins on this one and introduces us to the history of the man who has become a wicked witch to the West.
Greg and I each chipped in a thousand dollars for this stock image. Please subscribe as I had to convince my parents to mortgage their home so that I could afford this stock image of an 8-bit radiation symbol. This is a good episode but please subscribe and leave a review because the price of this stock image has really caused a rift in my immediate family. I would like to someday be invited back to the house my parents call home so please rate this podcast 5 stars on the Apple Store.
Another XL episode for you. Little peak behind the curtain, I had to cut several minutes of talk about $GME because when we recorded that was still a relevant discussion. Sad!
Hoo boy, this was a long one. Sorry for the long wait. Expect another big ep in the next few days.
No description, just the coordinates for Greg's House42.01596744136022, -93.6488251237444
Let's go baby, happy new years. Gregg and Keane give a quick rundown of the Iran/Contra affair
I don't often like to comment on the quality of these episodes (not true) but this one is good. More interesting than the Rockefeller one. This is NOT because Paul was not on this one (not true)
Some talk about the secret airlines, Janet and some CIA front airlines.Won't lie to you, this is an dense episode. Greg stepped in for Paul on this one and he brought the info.Still a good one, enjoy.
First in a series of at least three, talking about the Big Boys of the Gilded Age Ryan Peterson with a guest appearance on this first one
Welcome to the spin-off. Just Paul and I talking about various conspiracies whenever these come out (no regular schedule). Just to be clear, we will not be touching on any partisan conspiracies or anything that would ruffle feathers. This first one is about the Montauk Project and the nearby Plum Island. The topic didn't really go where we hoped but it's a fun one either way. Enjoy.
That seals the deal. I am no longer a US citizen. I have been a citizen since 1776 and a voter since 1804. I will not be voting again nor will I be around to see this country fall apart. I’m taking my talents to Somalia where it looks like they know how to run a real country
Couldn't think of a more apt title, we talk about three separate witch trials and then draft our favorite VVitches and Wizards
This Draft is Tier 1 Operator Approved.
More of a longform draft, each selection has a story accompanying it. Sorry for the QAnon opening
We accidentally took a few weeks off, we really didn't mean to.
Not our magnum opus but definitely the longest one yet
Experimental second act
This is an experimental episode.
Calling this extra is disingenuous, this was a weak attempt I made at an episode that I didn't feel right about releasing on its own. This is not part of the official AA canon
Paul was held up in his impressive Air Force job and couldn't join us on this one, but his impressive Air Force job grants us impressive Air Force insight on things like this so he has graciously recorded us his thoughts on this matter at the end of the episode along with a couple extra little treats at the end.
Just pretend Paul wasn't on this one
If you're reading this, I love you. Follow us at @armchair_andventurer_podcast on IG. Greg will release a personalized JOI video for every follow
I let those treacherous rats Dan and Paul convince me to turn up my mic input. As a result, my breath is a little evident in this episode. Erotic for some, but not for all.
Little on the shorter side, Paul and I can't hold our own. Our podcast hosting website suggested a clear and concise title which I immediately challenged
This is an interesting one. Not the topic, of course, but once Greg and I are left to our own devices for the second part of the episode you can witness an avant-garde performance piece about the state of podcasting in 2020
At a certain point, apologizing for the episode being a day late loses its novelty.
ARMCHAIR CLASSICO baby, DG and Me take a stab at two small topics free from the burden of our parasitic new hosts.
"Treasure" is a song by American singer and songwriter Bruno Mars for his second studio album, titled Unorthodox Jukebox (2012). "Treasure" was written by Mars himself along with Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, and Phredley Brown, while production was handled by Mars, Lawrence and Levine under the name of The Smeezingtons. Due to the similarities shared with Breakbot's "Baby I'm Yours", new writing credits were added. The song was selected as the third single by Atlantic Records and was released to mainstream radio in Italy on May 10, 2013.
Sorry for being late on this one, had a busy Father's Day weekend. We're still releasing on schedule later this week. For your sake and mine, I stopped the Wilhelm screams about 15 minutes in because there were already almost 20 of them.
Hopefully the audio is fine, I'm trying new software. We have Greg again but he couldn't figure out how to not hold the microphone like an idiot so his audio is equally stupid. This is a very interesting case that I totally fumbled on, so if this interests you please look up more about it.
SupPaul ran the show this time. He did good so send him love and kisses.
Late episode, Dan's audio is somehow even worse this time around. Maybe someone should rough him up.
Short episode on account of a hungover MDW. Greg is back, Dan's audio still plagues us. If anyone reading this has even a shred of decency, reach out to Dan in the angriest way you are capable of.
Famed Eagle Scout Greg Anderson joins us today. Greg spent summers at her grandparents in remote areas of the wilderness. She graduated from Washington High School in 1978. She attended college at the University of Washington, where she met and married Eugene Snow. After graduation, they returned to Enumclaw. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker while her husband was a Firefighter. She was an active member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church, belonged to the Arboretum Foundation garden club and worked with various charities. Her interests included family, gardening, sewing and reading. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at age 70.
Sorry for being late and sorry for taking creative liberties with that title
An apology is necessary, I'm still trying to figure out my audio interface. My audio input levels were a little too high and I didn't notice until the editing process. What that means for you is that the audio levels were a little hard to balance so the three of us will shift in and out of being louder. Also, when I get particularly impassioned my audio was loud enough to clip so when that happens you will hear a faint clicking behind my audio. I didn't think it was bad enough to throw out a whole episode so just bear with us. This will be fixed by next week.
Sorry for this being a day late, we had to record late yesterday so I didn't get a chance to edit. The album we talk about regarding the UVB-76 location: https://imgur.com/a/yziwz
This episode is sponsored by AMC's hit show The Terror contact: armchairadventurershow@gmail.c.om
Season 2 is here. You weren't prepared for it. We weren't prepared for it. Thank us anyway.
This is an episode I sat on for months. Cut the first few minutes because it was Dan and I talking about the HBO show Watchmen and nobody needed to hear that. Enjoy
Folks,It's Halloween. Congrats on making it this far. Dan Gavin's favorite candy is graham crackers, he told me that on the podcast and then asked me to remove it.
Folks,Here I am in Paris, France,Forced to bend my soulTo a sordid role,Victimized by bitter, bitter circumstance. contact: armchairadventurershow@gmail.com
China, China china china china. China, china china. China china China. China! China: armchairadventurershow@gmail.com
Folks, please forgive us for butchering the pronunciation on this one. Also, I encourage you to look at pictures of this place if you've never seen it. Contact: armchairadventurershow@gmail.com
Folks, sorry for the wait. Dan was on jihad. That's the best I can give you. I know Buffalo is pretty far from where this happened but you do what you can in the game of alliteration. Contact: armchairadventurershow@gmail.com
