Creativity through the lens of a social innovator, social entrepreneur, systems change advocate and artist"To me, it means that I am somehow tapped into the flow of life."Nora Wilhelm is a social innovator and systems entrepreneur dedicated to driving positive change for a regenerative and just future. Her journey as a changemaker began at the age of 15, when she became deeply aware of global challenges, particularly in youth engagement and sustainable development. This early commitment to active citizenship led her to work with international NGOs and, over time, to focus on systems change and social innovation. In 2017, she co-founded collaboratio helvetica, an initiative designed to catalyse systems change in Switzerland in alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Nora holds a BA in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen and an MSt in Social Innovation from the University of Cambridge, combining academic insight with hands-on experience in systemic transformation. After experiencing burnout firsthand, she created the well • change atelier in 2023: a space for creative regeneration and inner work, designed to help changemakers turn personal challenges, like burnout, into opportunities for growth and sustainable impact. Today, through her initiative Parayma , she also supports changemakers in clarifying their purpose and navigating the emotional and practical demands of systems work.Recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and a UNESCO Young Leader, she has spoken on global stages and continues to advocate for grounded, sustainable, and systemically informed approaches to leadership and transformation.www.norawilhelm.orgwww.linkedin.com/in/norawilhelmhttps://www.instagram.com/nora.wilhelm/https://www.facebook.com/nora.m.wilhelmwww.changeatelier.orghttps://www.instagram.com/thewell.changeatelier/https://www.linkedin.com/company/thewellchangeatelierhttps://www.pinterest.ch/thewellchangeatelier/www.parayma.cohttps://www.linkedin.com/company/paraymahttps://www.instagram.com/parayma.coSend us a text

Success for a princely family in the Late Middle Ages has a lot to do with reproductive luck. Not having any offspring, in particular no male offspring is a bit of a knockout. But having too many sons that could be a major issue too.And in 1386 the Habsburgs struggled with exactly that problem. Their territory was already divided between an Albertine and a Leopoldine line. But then Leopold had four sons, bringing the number of archdukes of Austria to six, which is five too many.In this episode we will discuss how they managed to muck it up quite bad, in fact so bad, one of their number had to fall to his knees before the emperor, not once, not twice, but three times…Albertiner- Albrecht III (1349-1395) o Albrecht IV (1377-1404) § Albrecht V (II) (1397-1439) · Ladislaus Postumus (1440-1457)Leopoldiner- Leopold III (1351-1386) o Wilhelm (1370-1406) o Leopold IV (1371-1411) o Ernst der Eiserne (1377-1424) § Friedrich V (III) (1415-1494) § Albrecht VI (1418-1463) o Friedrich IV (1382-1439) § Siegismund der Munzreiche (1427-1496)The music for the show is Flute Sonata in E-flat major, H.545 by Carl Phillip Emmanuel Bach (or some claim it as BWV 1031 Johann Sebastian Bach) performed and arranged by Michel Rondeau under Common Creative Licence 3.0.As always:Homepage with maps, photos, transcripts and blog: www.historyofthegermans.comIf you wish to support the show go to: Support • History of the Germans PodcastFacebook: @HOTGPod Threads: @history_of_the_germans_podcastBluesky: @hotgpod.bsky.socialInstagram: history_of_the_germansTwitter: @germanshistoryTo make it easier for you to share the podcast, I have created separate playlists for some of the seasons that are set up as individual podcasts. they have the exact same episodes as in the History of the Germans, but they may be a helpful device for those who want to concentrate on only one season. Two hundred years ago, Wilhelm von Humboldt created the education system as we know it today. At the heart of his philosophy of education was the concept of Bildung — reaching one's inner potential. Yet over the years, as his public education system was adopted, Bildung may well have been the critical piece left out. *This episode is part one of two-part series. Its Never Too Late
Generation Gap: Dorothy Wilhelm, Ray Miller Still, Jason Falls

Its Never Too Late

Generation Gap has been on the air nearly ten years, hosted by Dorothy Wilhelm. and Ray Miller Still, Editor in Chief of The Enumclaw Courier Herald. Ray says there are only 2 Courier Herald Newspapers in the World. One is in the United States and One in Ireland. So it's been our custom to decide on the question we'll discuss for each show. Dorothy, born in 1934, is a member of the Silent Generation. The Silent Generation is generally defined as those born between 1928 and 1945. This generation grew up during the Great Depression and World War II, which significantly shaped their values and worldview. We're called Silent because we didn't make waves. We didn't protest. We had seen the Great Depression and the Great War. We just wanted peace and civic involvement. Ray is a member of the Millennials who were born between 1981 and 1996, making them approximately 29 to 44 years old in 2025. This age range is defined by the Pew Research Center and is widely accepted, although some sources may vary by a year or two. And then our newest Generation Gap member is Jason Falls. we're still working on remembering what generation he belongs to, but we think Gen z. Stand by for late breaking bulletins. This month Ray suggested that we talk about the video games that everybody is playing these days. It didn't work out too well. Ray wanted to hear about the games that Dorothy played, and she denied ever playing a game in her life. Jason was ready to dive in. Born in 1975, he's a member of Gen x, according to the books, but I'm not convinced. He just doesn't seem like an X - more about this later. We were all ready to talk about games. According to Generation z blogs, this is an important indicator of the generations. It doesn't say why. Gen Z is the most important generational shift so far, according to Gen Z Blogs but their experiences and outlook are not understood well enough by those who have come before them. Generation Z has huge, as yet mostly untapped, potential to meet the challenges of today. In 2025 Generation Z will form over a quarter of the UK workforce and an even larger proportion of US. The older ones are already in management positions in large companies and ripping up the rulebook on their own. Their importance in the workplace will grow. But back to our question. Dorothy is steadfast in her determination not to play games or even have a pedicure for that matter. So you'll want to tune in next month to hear the final word on Why Generations Fight and if we can possibly get along. I actually thank we can, but I'm not sure I can learn one of those electronic games. But little old people can't manage those teeny keys. This is the closest thing to a drop dead question that we've had on Generation Gap. What do you think about old time hands and new time games. Learn more about your ad choices. Throughout World War II, Nazi Germany was a formidable force due to its military strength and success. A large reason for this success was its intelligence network. What most people don't know is that the Nazi head of military intelligence was actively working against Adolf Hitler. Through a series of active and passive measures, he went from a loyal Nazi to a double agent. Find out about Wilhelm Canaris and how he resisted Hitler from one of the highest positions in the Third Reich on this episode of Everything Everywhere Daily. ***5th Anniversary Celebration RSVP*** Sponsors Quince Go to quince.com/daily for 365-day returns, plus free shipping on your order!
