This week Wrestling Omakase is back for another packed show! John is joined by returning guest Chris Samsa (@TheChrisSamsa on Twitter) from the Sport of Pro Wrestling website for a long, thorough preview of this year's G1 Climax! John and Chris go wrestler-by-wrestler through all twenty competitors across both blocks breaking down everyone's most notable matches, who they think are favorites and dark horses to move on to the elimination round, some discussions of venues that NJPW is running this year (and early ticket sales), and a whole lot more! As you'd expect Chris comes armed with plenty of stats too, but a lot of it is just the buzz and anticipation level heading into another G1 after a very (ahem) uneven year of NJPW up to this point- a fascinating discussion that should help get you ready for another G1 Climax!Afterward, John goes solo to review three shows- about 20 minutes of brief thoughts on AEW All In Texas (and frankly, nothing they say should surprise longtime listeners at all) before giving longer form thoughts on two shows from Japan this past weekend- first, a full review of Dragongate's biggest show of the year, Kobe World! It's been a while since John has talked any DG so they go in depth with their thoughts on the major angle developments, review all the matches, and discuss a bit on where things might be going in the near future. Finally, they wrap things up with a review of DDT's 7/13 Korakuen featuring a KO-D Openweight Title match, two celebrity wrestlers, and a lot of matches being set up for the two-night Peter Pan event at the end of August.Check out Sport of Pro Wrestling's 2025 G1 Pick Em: http://g1.sportofprowrestling.com/Follow Wrestling Omakase on Twitter: @WrestleOmakaseFollow John on Bluesky: @JustOneEnbyAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

It's a 3 stringer in DG and in a style that dates to the 18th cent. The songs are Un Canadien Errant, the wandering Canadian, which was written in 1842 as a lament for rebels exiled from Canada after the failed Lower Canada Rebellion, 1837-8. The 2nd is A La Claire Fontaine, by the clear Spring, which dates back to 1604 and was originally a song of lost love but also become a resistance song after the British takeover following the F&I War. I wanted to learn some French Canadian song for French reenactors at vous and the Battle of PDC Wi. since a unit portraying the one that fought in that siege would come from Canada to participate in the event as it neared the 250th anniversary of the battle. From Ryan Kirk: Mary Scott Hey Jeremy here's a quick run at Oswald's variations on Mary Scott, a tune I learned from your podcast! I [am playing] an Aulos plastic [flute], copy of a 18th century Grenser. Very nice Instrument for the price. Thought about a wood one but humidity control in our old house is not great. From Dave Rowlands: This is 'La Bernardina' by Josquin des Pres (1450-1521). Not known as a composer for bagpipes, but the leading composer of his time. I have chosen this because a) it is a new find for me, b) because if pipers had access to this music and good instruments they would have played it, and c) because we should not be hidebound to 'tradition', just because it does not come from a bagpiping tradition, does not mean we cant play it, and i cite Amazing Grace as just one case. This is played by Three Swayne D pipes, and one Swayne G pipe. I hope you like it and include it. Best wishes, Dave R From Charlie Rutan: Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle is the traditional Italian Christmas carol played by zampognari. Originally called 'Quanno Nascente Ninno', it was written down in 1754 by St Alphonsus Ligouri, with text in the Neapolitan language: and became so popular that it was later translated into Italian and became 'TU SCENDI DALLE STELLE', undergoing several small changes in its melody during that process. The melody probably existed in various forms for several centuries prior to its 1754 transcription, and is still a basis for many improvised PASTORELLES by zampognari today. I'm playing both Ciaramella ( the Italian folk oboe) and Sei Palmi Zampogna on this track. 'Sei palmi' refers to the length of the instrument's longest chanter, measured by the outsretched palm of the pipe maker's hand, much like the 'cubit' of the ancient world. Zampongne have existed in this form since at least the early 1300's; where we have evidence of the instrument being played in frescoes dated to that time. The zampogna is endemic to southern Italy, exists in about 20 different iterations in several sizes, and is a thriving bagpipe tradition to this day. Dollar General (DG) shares surged more than 10% after beating earnings estimates, fueled by a strong consumer and solid job market. Jan Rogers Kniffen says DG's success is a sign of a resilient lower-end consumer. With wage growth outpacing inflation and low unemployment, Kniffen expects other discount retailers like Dollar Tree (DLTR) and Five Below (FIVE) to follow suit. However, he does express concerns about the rising popularity of buy-now, pay-later services like Affirm (AFRM) and Klarna, which could lead to increased financial pressure on consumers if not managed carefully.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. The German baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's 100th birthday falls on May 28. One of the most versatile singers of the last century – his operatic repertoire alone ranged from Gluck, Handel and Mozart via Verdi, Wagner and Richard Strauss to Berg, Busoni and Reimann – it's his devotion to song that remains his lasting legacy. To mark the anniversary of Fischer-Dieskau's birth, Gramophone's James Jolly spoke to song specialist and author of Schubert: The Complete Song Texts (Schirmer: 1988), Richard Wigmore. They focused on Fischer-Dieskau's audio recordings of Schubert's greatest song-cycle Winterreise (1828) which include three with Gerald Moore, as well as versions with Klaus Billing, Hermann Reuter, Daniel Barenboim, Jörg Demus, Alfred Brendel, Murray Perahia and Maurizio Pollini.

Are games on blockchain ready for their time to shine? The initial wave showed some promise, but it was too much “make money playing games” and not enough “play games that are fun”. That seems to be changing as the move to make AAA games is in full gear. Today we welcome DG from Astra Nova to the program to show how mainstream adoption of blockchain-based games is already happening. And we’ll show you exactly what they are working on which gamers could find quite impressive.
