We're back on Wrestling Omakase to discuss four very different Japanese wrestling promotions in another jampacked episode! John is joined by Milo (@primasteras on Twitter), someone they used to host Open the Voice Gate with right on this very network many, many years ago by now, making it a bit of a reunion for the two of them! Unfortunately the tragic passing of AJPW's Taishin Nagao absolutely had to be our first topic, so major content warning there (not that we really discuss anything that happened in detail though). The discussion of his death goes for about the first fourteen-and-a-half minutes. Then the two of them make a somewhat awkward transition to other things going on in their life (John went to an AEW Collision taping although they did not give a full review of the show or anything, as they figured last week's Forbidden Door review was more than enough AEW content on Omakase for one lifetime), before they head over to their first true topic of the episode: a full review of the STARDOM to the World 9/6 PPV, as Milo brings the perspective of a more casual/occasional STARDOM viewer while the two discuss yet another very good show from the World Wonder Ring. They also talk about upcoming title challenges and give a quick preview of the next 9/10 Korakuen, while John makes a bit of a case for Starlight Kid as 2025's Most Outstanding Wrestler. Then they move over to NOAH to talk a very eventful opening night of the N-1 Victory tournament, held on 9/8 in front of yet another packed Korakuen Hall audience. They discuss a possible promotion-altering injury to their franchise star, some very uneven matches, and an enormous GHC Jr. Title match as well. Then they look ahead to the first full week of N-1 action coming up.Afterward, John & Milo head over to Dragongate to discuss their 9/4 Korakuen Hall event. They discuss the debut of new heel stable Gaja Dokuro (and their connection to Rito Revolto- yes, really!), a great Brave Gate title match, a Triangle Gate ladder match the two of them felt very differently on, and discuss a little bit on why DG's attendances may be lagging a bit at the moment. They then look ahead to what's coming up next in DG, including a very odd show booked for later this month! Finally, the two of them wrap things up with a look at the four quarterfinal matches of the very underwhelming AJPW Oudou Tournament, which just hasn't been good at all. John & Milo then talk a little about the upcoming semis & finals from their 9/15 Korakuen show to wrap things up for another week.Check out Milo's article on Kzy he mentioned here: https://sixtyminutedraw.com/kzy-ode-to-joyFollow Wrestling Omakase on Twitter: @wrestleomakaseFollow John on Bluesky: @justoneenbyAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

September is here and so is a new episode of Good, but not the best... a Dancing Gnome podcast! We have Mike T sitting in with us for this entire episode and we kick things off with a Look Back and Look Ahead in the world of DG. We talk Okta, we talk Festbier, we look a little further ahead into October to Dancing Gnome's 9th anniversary. Next, we wade into the always treacherous waters of a "kids at a brewery" discussion, following some recent 1 star reviews DG received on Google. We read a New York Times article from earlier this summer that talks about how some breweries are handling this tricky issue and the responses they are receiving. After our break, we crack open two of Dancing Gnome's latest barrel aged offerings, Contact and Vindemia, while Andrew talks about the interesting process behind creating these two beers. We close out the show by answering some listener questions. Thanks for listening!!  Intro/Outro music by: Kabbalistic VillageBreak music by: Kevin MacLeod

This week…Here's my speaking script from this live performance. Close to a transcript, but I changed a few lines on the fly… some even on purpose.Today I'm talking family, friends, love… not known as autistic “superpowers.” So let's start with a quick blow up of the whole fucking superpower thing.1. You guys? I guess it's a job. But to us? You're… well, friends. It means something to me. To learn your name. To… know you.”“Oh.” Confused, she pauses. “It's really ok. We know you and your wife. We get it.”“You know?” I'm urgent. I want her to get… the weight of it. “It's not for you. It's for me. It means something to me. To remember your names. And put them with your faces. To be friends.”I flash on all those parental commands to “make friends.” Then say, “I just won't get it right away. But I want to enjoy… doing it.”Silence. Awkward. But intimate.I stammer. “Are you… are you, Ari?” When confused, my go-to fallback is details.“No, she's the short blond one.” She waves her right hand about shoulder high.“I know Kensington… cuz well I walked in on her anaphylactic…. Um, allergy attack. Over in the Dollar Aisle."“Yeah. She's the short one with black hair.” She gestures with her right hand, just a hair lower. “And I'm Cyndi.”We laugh. Together. She mentions the name tags again. I make reassuring noises.“That's Windy, right?”“No.” She laughs. “Cyndi… Just with the I and Y reversed.”“Oh, thank god. For a moment I misremembered again. Thought you were named after a sappy 60s song.”She laughs, easy… again. “No. Never. Not that..”We share a wink. A nod.The doors slide. I walk outside.“Cyndi. Just with the I and Y reversed."A swirl of flesh-colored fog. Framed by glasses. And twisted brown hair on her head.About… yay… tall.#AutisticAF Out Loud Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. S&P Futures are trading slightly higher this morning as markets look to tech earnings as being a positive catalyst. President Trump's actions on his intended removal of Fed Gov Cook remains a hot news item for the media, however the markets are focused on earnings. New tariffs on India went into effect today, significantly increasing duties on many Indian imports by an additional 25%, bringing some tariffs up to as high as 50%. This tariff hike is a direct retaliation for India's continued purchases of discounted Russian crude oil. Cracker Barell is moving higher this morning as the company will revert back to its old logo. Seeing strong gains in BOX, MDB, NCHO, OKTA & PVH after earnings releases. After the bell today NVDA, CRWD, SNOW, VEEV, TCOM, A, & NTAP will be reporting. Tomorrow morning, DG, DKS, BURL, HRL, BBY & OLLI are scheduled to report.

In this episode of Talking Performance, I tried something a little different, a solo episode. I have had a brief hiatus but I have been looking at ways in which I may be able to add value to the listeners. With this in mind I tried to share my learnings from a culmination of engaging conversations with the Chiefs coaches I have had on the pod. I dive deep into the essence of team culture and leadership, featuring insights from Wayne Smith (Ep 3 & 121), Dave Rennie (Ep 35), Ian Foster (Ep 37), Clayton McMillan (Ep 62), David Hill (Ep 134), and the invaluable contributions of my old sparring partner here on Talking Performance David Galbraith. DG was the Chiefs sports psychologist during their back-to-back wins in 2012 & 2013. Whether you're in sports or any leadership role, these lessons offer valuable takeaways that go beyond the field.Key Topics:Understanding mana and its impact on team dynamics The role of rituals in building strong team culture Insights from renowned coaches on effective leadershipHashtags: #TeamCulture #Leadership #PodcastCall to Action: Tune in now to explore the threads that bind great teams together.

In this episode, Benoy Thanjan speaks with João Barreto, CEO of EDPR NA Distributed Generation, at the ACORE Finance Forum. They explore the rapid evolution of distributed generation (DG) in the U.S., community solar market trends, and how EDPR is deploying capital to meet growing clean energy demand.
