Jesus turns an encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well into an exchange that would transform her life of sin and shame into a message of hope for an entire town, leading them to Christ. Jesus teaches his disciples to equip for the harvest! Jesus transforms our lives, replacing our guilt with His glory! We are therefore expected to tell others what Jesus has done in our life! Luke 2:52 reveals four ways that Jesus grew. “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Each of these things will lead us to a well balanced life in Christ. Without balance, we will inevitably trip, stumble, and fall! We must realize the importance of living an intentionally balanced life that is centered on Christ!
Aren't we glad that God gives us the gift of choice? Right or wrong, good or bad, we have that liberty! Don't we want to make Godly decisions that strengthen our relationship with Him? Decisions that give Him Glory and praise? Our choices can lead us to victory or destruction. We can't always choose our situation or circumstances, but we can choose how we respond. We serve an intentional God, and He intended for us to be intentional with our lives as well. The intentional life is a life lived with discipline and purpose, pointing to our creator. When we live intentionally for Him, it impacts our lives and those in the world around us as well. The best part - God gets all the glory!
Luke 9:23 paints us a clear picture of what it means to follow Jesus. What separates the fans and followers? Is there a list of things I can do to be a follower? We're not called to try daily, but to die daily! Salvation is free! The price has been paid. The call might be tough, but the reward is matchless.

It’s often that I find myself wanting to grumble about daily struggles, how about you? But 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says to - “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Notice that it doesn’t say we need to give thanks FOR all circumstances. Things aren’t always going to work out the way we think they should. Trials and tribulations will come. But we have to remain thankful IN all circumstances. We all have a LOT to be thankful for, including Jesus life being laid down for us!!! I challenge you (and myself) today, in every situation, even if things aren’t going as you planned, to find reasons to still remain thankful and positive!!
