This post hit home with me simply because I think we need more people pulling for others rather than hoping that others lose or have troubles.  I'm certainly trying to follow what the Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) shares here with this:  “Call me crazy but I love to see people happy and succeeding. Life is a journey, not a competition.” To me, this is a good kind of “crazy” to be - encouraging others to win in life compared to being a critic and wanting others to lose.  The world needs more people to look at celebrating others, instead of criticizing people.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coach John Daly.   Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage along with checking out my Top Book list too.  Other things there on my site are being worked on too.  Please let me know that you are reaching out to me from my podcast.

Found a great reminder for me to go a bit easier on myself along with having some gratitude thrown my way from a couple of good friends - Denyse and Erica.  The post came from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “When things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for what's going right.”  A really small & not any type of emergency mistake happened… caused by me, but I quickly found a solution AND I made a quick adjustment about not beating myself up about it either. Offering myself some grace when needed, on top of fixing the goof that I caused, helps me to get back on track with my day. Hope this helps you and I hope you don't mind me having my co-host (our dog), help with a lesson during the recording.

After a great phone call with my buddy, and fellow podcast enthusiast, Coach Dave - I saw this posting that reminded me of so many things.  Once again from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) ”There's a story behind every person. There is a reason why they're the way they are. Think about that before you judge someone.”  So many simple reminders for me to not only stop judging people who I may not agree with, have said and done things that I may not like - and especially not judging myself so harshly!  We have opportunities every single day - in fact many moments of every day to judge less, as we all have so many reasons why we do what we do. One thing for sure is that I know I have plenty to work on to keep trying to improve, every day I have!! Good one that I picked up from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy and some are exciting, but if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter has in store for you.” This has been something on my radar a bit lately - when I'm in a funk, beating myself up, in a bad mood, etc., I have been trying to turn the page a bit quicker, instead of reading the page over and over.  My book has plenty of “old chapters” and they are meant to help with sharing lessons of my past so that my present day can help me with my future. So many times I have not turned my page and I know I need to do it. I think we all can pick up some ideas from this one. In my never ending search for success clues, I found this from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “There are three solutions to every problem: accept it, change it, or leave it. If you can't accept it, change it. If you can't change it, leave it.” Seeing that we all have different problems, all throughout life and at different times every day, this was a good reminder to maybe reflect a little bit more on this.  It really comes down to how we respond to problems in life. We have choices as far as how we respond. Some good reflections came to me on this - hope you enjoy and I hope you have some thoughts about this one. Rupert Soames has forged a brilliant career leading businesses through some of the most daunting challenges. But behind the decades of success, there's another story that Rupert has chosen to share here for the first time … an experience which, against the odds, forged his resilience. His professional journey has been defined by his unflinching resolve to ‘run towards gunfire.' … as CEO of commercial giants Aggreko and Serco through periods of crisis and now as Chair of the CBI as it continues to recover from a reputational shock.Given Rupert is also Winston Churchill's grandson, it would be easy to assume that his courage is more biology than biography … but that would not tell the full story. In this episode, Rupert talks for the first time about appalling abuse he endured at prep school and how those terrible experiences ultimately helped shape his wholly positive approach to confronting challenge. He shares his valuable lessons in resilience, decision-making under pressure, and the importance of learning from past struggles. But more than all of this, Rupert powerfully explains and demonstrates how trauma, instead of defining us, can drive us towards a more positive life.My thanks to Rupert for this conversation. This is a paid advertisement by BetterHelp. High Performance Mindset | Learn from World-Class Leaders, Consultants, Athletes & Coaches about Mindset

In this episode of The High Performance Mindset, Dr. Cindra explores the power of positivity and how cultivating positive energy creates a psychological advantage in teams, businesses, and relationships.   Research shows that positivity enhances engagement, problem-solving, and resilience, with high-performing teams and successful relationships maintaining a strong positive-to-negative interaction ratio.   To harness this power, Dr. Cindra suggests shifting focus to strengths, building a culture of positivity from the top down, and priming yourself for positivity each morning through gratitude, visualization, and Power Phrases.   By choosing positivity intentionally, we rewire our brains for success, motivation, and deeper connections.    This Week's Power Phrase: "I am a source of positive energy. I inspire, uplift, and bring out the best in myself and those around me. My mindset fuels success and possibility."   Quote of the Week: "When you focus on the good, the good gets better." – Abraham Hicks

Found a great post that reminded me about what we need more of in the world. This came from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “There are four very important words in life: love, honesty, truth and respect. Without these in your life, you have nothing.” I saw this and thought This connects with “be the example you wish to see in the world!” We may not have many examples of this in the media… but we can be this for others (and ourselves) to see!! There are so many “non-examples” of these four building blocks that we need to be the ones to show this to others. How about it? Share this one to help others see the importance of these four words. It's the war, it's the virus, it's the economy, it's something or other. And so understandably, post the pandemic, we were out of the biological pandemic, but we're sort of in a psychological pandemic.” - Paul McKenna 2 “ Now the thing is, addiction is about changing your state of mind and body, so drinking, drug taking, gambling, sex, shopping, television and food, particularly sugar food, are the world's drugs of choice. And everybody in the world at some point feels too much stress. They feel overwhelmed, and so they resort to something to change how they feel, some of the things I just mentioned. And in a sense, some people, they form an addiction to their work because they can, you know, forget about everything else that's going on in their life. They might not have to think about their relationship or, you know, some other stress, from their family or something. So they immerse themselves in work.” - Paul McKenna 3 “Years ago, when I started corporate training, one of my colleagues, I asked him, ‘Why is it corporations pay so much money to have their staff trained?' He said, ‘Well, I can show you,' because look, they see that ‘days sick' goes down, the productivity goes up. So basically, by staying in the zone of balance – you've got enough output getting things done, versus balance, which is recovery time, in my mind. You get that mix right, then you're going to be more productive in the end.” - Paul McKenna  Mentioned in this episode: • Dear Infosec Read the transcript of this episode Subscribe to the ISF Podcast wherever you listen to podcasts Connect with us on LinkedIn and Twitter

This caught my eye simply because of its simple truth and the fact I've been connecting to this idea that we as humans have thousands and thousands of thoughts every single day.  Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) put this out:   “Two things to remember in life: Take care of your thoughts when you are alone, and take care of your words when you are with people.”  I'm really working hard - intentionally focusing on my thoughts and how they affect me throughout my day.  I've tried to always watch my words when I'm with others, but not so much my thoughts when I'm alone.  Thanks to some recent reading and this quote, along with some other things I'm noticing and connecting with in life - I am grateful for taking a bit more control over my thoughts.  I hope you can pick this up as well. I was on a plane in 2017 for a 5 hour flight from Los Angeles to Cincinnati when I committed to 5 values that I wanted to have within Organize 365®. This will be a 6-part series to share why I chose those 5 values plus one extra value that I felt needed to be added. I can trace my positivity back to 6th grade at church camp when I accepted Christ as my savior. But when my dad picked me up he said “No you didn't, now get in the car.” I was always a positive child so I wasn't mad or hurt, I knew it was just this special relationship I had with God.  Sharing my dad's belief in me “Dad, I'd like to run daycare centers in corporate buildings.” I explained as dad had asked me what I wanted to go to college for. My dad had so much belief in me at just 17. He proposed that I take the money they were going to spend on college, which was about $100,000, and invest it in me and this business idea. I ran into the kitchen to pitch the idea to my mom, but she stood her ground. My mother was hell bent on me being the 4th generation of female college graduates in our family.  The decline As a little kid I was so positive, there was so much natural optimism. Even at 17 I had so much faith in myself, plus my dad's belief in me. But then life…I was so excited for the MRS (Mrs. Woodruff) degree and was ready to start our life. But children didn't come despite our desperate desire and so we adopted. But then more life was handed to me when my parents decided to get divorced, then my dad passed away, and I had to settle his estate.  I did inherit a little bit of money where we were able to remodel the kitchen and afford some more medical testing. I was always fighting a battle with people. They thought I was crazy because of everything I was doing for my kids and their health. Which got me thinking, “Am I the problem here?” (Funny how today's society supports all the measures I took so many years ago.) I went from positive Lisa to cynical! Another blow was when my supervisor informed me that I wasn't a good teacher. I made up my mind that I was going to quit. I wasn't doing good at anything. I had become so negative and not fun to be around. Greg supported me quitting even though we had the most debt we have ever had. I turned in my resignation the next day. It's not happening to you it's happening for you The final straw was that first Monday while the kids were at school. I looked around and thought, whose house is this? I was so disconnected from my life. I realized that I, and my attitude, was the problem. Then and there I decided to take my life back and to be positive. I changed all the inputs, like the friends I kept, the shows I watched, the things I read.  I knew I wanted to stay Greg's wife and the mother to my children. I ended up writing my book “Organization Is A Learnable Skill" to document how I took my life back. I now know that life is not happening to me, it's happening for me. I sat down and wrote down 40 areas I was going to address. I remembered that belief my dad had in me to start a business and I was now going to do just that. And from that list one of my first programs was born, the 40 Weeks One Whole House Challenge (now incorporated into The Productive Home Solution®). Being positive is a core value for Organize 365®. It's funny how fast a negative person can infiltrate the staff in a matter of days. I can't have that and I don't want to turn that ship around. My experience has been that positivity leads to success. So we are positive at Organize 365®. I needed a boost of Positivity today and I found it in a few different sources, but this one hit the target for sure.  Hope it does for you too.  From Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) they shared this thought for all of us to reflect upon a bit:  “Never quit something that makes your heart smile. You may pause. You may take longer, but just don't quit.” I needed this reminder as I'm recovering from another surgery procedure yesterday and I need to (follow doctors orders & my wife's too), to take it easy for a few days / weeks.  But all of this that I've been going through, has really helped to put into focus the things that I want to keep working on.  The inspiration is powerful and I am more excited now than ever before to keep doing the things I want to do with my life. No matter the detours, road blocks, etc., I (you) need to just keep going. Little by little is a lot better than quitting.  Find out those things that light your soul on fire and keep doing the things necessary to keep going after them - doesn't matter the speed - just keep at them.

Found some great advice that has been echoed so many times from Gary Vee (@garyvee) but it's connected this time to: Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) “Never wish them pain; that's not who you are. If they caused you pain, wish them healing.” There seems to be “mud” being thrown all over the place these days. Bad-mouthing others, blaming others, gossiping about others, putting out false information about others, etc. I've been focusing on not getting caught up in things like this. I have been finding that there is truth to the statement, “where focus goes - energy flows!”  For me, I have too many things to accomplish, build, go after along with helping those I love to do great things living their lives; and I don't have time to go after people to cause them troubles and problems.  Life is way too short for sure.  This is really a no-brainer for me. Hope it is for you too.

“I didn't slump over and start crying. I felt I had power,” says Samantha Golkin-Nigliazzo, an 11-year breast cancer survivor about receiving her diagnosis early thanks to vigilant screening and self-advocacy. More than a decade after her diagnosis, she now empowers others by serving as the vice president of The Pink Agenda and co-chair of the organization's Education Committee. The Pink Agenda is a nonprofit organization committed to raising money for breast cancer research and care, as well as awareness of the disease among young professionals.    On this episode of Why Didn't They Tell Us? Samantha speaks to host Leslie Randolph about the importance of positive thinking and reframing, the necessity for a supportive community, and how to serve as a compassionate caretaker when someone you love is facing a diagnosis.    Samantha discusses the elements of what psychologist Martin Seligman called PERMA, the positive psychology acronym which lists the five elements of well-being and why she gravitates toward Jordyn Feingold's adapted approach of REVAMP which encompasses relationships, engagement, vitality, accomplishment, meaning, and positive emotion. She explains the toll “scan-xiety” can have on those awaiting a result and why caretakers should take their cues, day-by-day, from those they love.    Join today's episode to hear Samantha's message of hope and the power of positive thinking and community.    Quotes “Breast cancer is terrible. Breast cancer sucks. There's no other word for it, but knowing that you're called back and called back, the anxiety, ‘Is it something? Is it nothing? It could be a calcification. It could be a cyst. It could be benign. It could be this; it could be that.' That's what dissuades people from being on top of their health and getting their screening.” (9:11 | Samantha Golkin-Nigliazzo) “I realized all those things that I had lived were things that have science-based research as to why they give you a life of elevated well-being, an elevated quality of life. I thought to myself, ‘Does that aid in risk? Does that aid in ultimate prognosis? The answer is, ‘Yes.' ” (13:39 | Samantha Golkin-Nigliazzo) “One of the things that I love about having community, being around people who have shared experiences—especially in the breast cancer world—is that it gives you hope. It gives you this perspective that the people around you are living and thriving and doing good things with their lives.” (38:55 | Samantha Golkin-Nigliazzo) “There's hope in community.” (40:00 | Samantha Golkin-Nigliazzo)   Links: Learn More About The Pink Agenda Follow The Pink Agenda on IG Follow The Pink Agenda on Facebook Connect with The Pink Agenda on LinkedIn   Connect with Samantha Golkin-Nigliazzo: LinkedIn Connect With Leslie: Help Your Teen Cultivate Confidence Website Instagram Facebook Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
