This week on the podcast, I had such a meaningful conversation with Lacey Newman—a powerhouse speaker, coach, and top real estate team leader based out of Nashville. She's not only a high-performing entrepreneur who's led a top 1.5% real estate team, but also a mom of two who knows what it's like to juggle a million things while still trying to stay grounded.Lacey opened up about her journey as a single mom, and how that chapter of her life forced her to get crystal clear on her priorities. We talked about the myth of work-life balance and how she created her own system for living and working with intention—what she calls “Book Your Own Business.” It's a simple yet powerful approach to planning your days around what matters most, starting with yourself. What I loved most about our conversation was how real and relatable Lacey is. She reminded us that while the balls we juggle may all seem important, some are glass and some are rubber—and learning which ones can drop without breaking is key. Whether you're a mom, a business owner, or just someone trying to find more peace in the chaos, I know you'll take away something valuable from this episode.Referenced Links:https://www.instagram.com/elevated_agentshttps://www.elevatedagents.co/reclaimSend us a text120 COPING SKILLShttps://www.freetobemindful.com/podcast-120copingskillsCULTIVATE CALM CHALLENGEhttps://www.freetobemindful.com/podcast-cultivatingcalmchallengeSUBMIT QUESTIONS for CONSULT A COUNSELOR:https://qrco.de/consultacounselorWATCH THE PODCAST ON YOUTUBE:https://www.youtube.com/@counselorvdejesus GET THE MUSE HEADBAND AT A DISCOUNT!https://choosemuse.com/freetobemindfulUse this link to get 15% off your total when you purchase the amazing brain sensing headband that tells you when you're in a meditative state and guides you to improve your practice.STAY CONNECTED:Show Hashtag: #freetobemindfulpodcastWebsite: https://www.freetobemindful.com/podcastAll Social Channels: @counselorvdejesus DISCLAIMER:Free to Be Mindful Podcast episodes are for educational purposes only and should not be considered as or substituted for therapy or professional help from a licensed clinician.

In this episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with Angel Hepp—fellow mom of two, golden doodle lover, and co-founder of Meet Salt Collective, a creative marketing agency that helps businesses connect through powerful storytelling. We talked all about how motherhood and entrepreneurship overlap in the most unexpected (and sometimes messy) ways, and how being clear, whether with your kids or your clients, can make all the difference.Angel shared so many gems—from her favorite mom hacks, like teaching kids to sort socks (yes, really!), to her journey as a recovering perfectionist. We also talked about how curiosity, not judgment, is key when it comes to personal growth, parenting, and running a business. There's so much goodness in this episode for moms, high achievers, and anyone who's trying to do all the things without losing themselves in the process. If you've ever felt like you're figuring it out as you go, you're not alone—and this conversation is for you. I hope it gives you a laugh, a breath of fresh air, and a few ideas to make life just a little bit easier.REFERENCED LINKS:Meet Salt CollectiveWebsite: www.meetsaltcollective.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/meetsaltcollectiveJosephine & Grace Co.Instagram: www.instagram.com/josephineandgrace.coBook Mentioned:Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller: www.storybrand.comSend us a text120 COPING SKILLShttps://www.freetobemindful.com/podcast-120copingskillsCULTIVATE CALM CHALLENGEhttps://www.freetobemindful.com/podcast-cultivatingcalmchallengeSUBMIT QUESTIONS for CONSULT A COUNSELOR:https://qrco.de/consultacounselorWATCH THE PODCAST ON YOUTUBE:https://www.youtube.com/@counselorvdejesus GET THE MUSE HEADBAND AT A DISCOUNT!https://choosemuse.com/freetobemindfulUse this link to get 15% off your total when you purchase the amazing brain sensing headband that tells you when you're in a meditative state and guides you to improve your practice.STAY CONNECTED:Show Hashtag: #freetobemindfulpodcastWebsite: https://www.freetobemindful.com/podcastAll Social Channels: @counselorvdejesus DISCLAIMER:Free to Be Mindful Podcast episodes are for educational purposes only and should not be considered as or substituted for therapy or professional help from a licensed clinician.

20 minutes. One microphone. And the truth I've never shared—until now. In this week's solo episode of Surviving Roots, I'm speaking words out loud that I've only ever carried in silence. The story of estrangement from my mother. The text I never thought I'd get. The moment I realized rejection wasn't about me—it was the door to peace. When a parent can't love you… it can either bury you or build you. This is the episode that's still healing me as I speak it.

The first episode with Dr. Ellen Vora was so well received that we had to bring her back on for part two. She and Melissa explore both the practical and spiritual aspects of managing anxiety. Ellen shares her insights on how moving with intention can shift your perspective on life and how, in moments of grief, such as after her mother's passing, she found a profound sense of inner knowing and spiritual opening that reshaped her life. They dive deep into the difference between true and false anxiety as Melissa opens up about some of her own experiences with anxiety, particularly how she's learned to challenge the stories she tells herself. Ellen also touches on how anxiety affects children and partners and how we can support those in our lives who struggle with it. This conversation highlights the importance of slowing down, giving kids the space to be bored, and setting up routines that prevent anxiety before it starts.Listen to Ellen's first episode here. In this heartfelt episode of Leading You, I open up about the profound impact my cancer diagnosis had on my life and mindset. This episode aims to inspire you to take control of your time and live a life aligned with your true values. I begin by posing a challenging question: If today was your last day, would you be proud of how you spent it? This question became incredibly personal for me the day I learned I had cancer, compelling me to reassess my priorities. I share how this experience taught me that time is not unlimited, and the importance of not putting off the things that truly matter. I delve into the profound realisation that many of us tolerate jobs, relationships, and situations that drain our energy and happiness. This episode emphasises the importance of cutting out the noise—those unnecessary tasks and obligations that don’t align with our values or well-being. I discuss how my diagnosis led me to design my workday around my health and personal enjoyment, rather than being busy for the sake of being busy. Another vital lesson I learned is the significance of being present in the moment. After my diagnosis, I started to appreciate the small joys of life—like the blue sky, the scent of flowers, and simple social interactions—that I previously overlooked. I stress the importance of cherishing these everyday moments rather than constantly planning for the future or dwelling on the past. Throughout this episode, I aim to encourage you to evaluate what you are tolerating in your life and make proactive changes. It's about making small but impactful mindset shifts that can dramatically enhance your quality of life. The episode encapsulates three key lessons: time is not unlimited, cut the noise and choose what matters most, and be present in the moment. I urge you to stop trying and start doing, as every moment counts, and tomorrow is never guaranteed. Join me as we explore these life-changing insights and consider how you can apply them to live a life you truly love. Be proactive in your choices, don’t wait for life-altering events to make necessary changes, and focus on your well-being and happiness. Thank you for tuning in, and I hope this episode serves as a powerful reminder to live for today. Please share, rate, and review this episode to help spread this important message. We're diving deep into the power of vision and intentional living with Lisa Kai and Naomi Craft. Ice Breaker 1:41- What's one word or phrase that encapsulates your current vibe? • Naomi: Down to earth • Pastor Lisa: Calm, consistent, solid 2:27- What is your go-to karaoke song? • Naomi: Caught Up in the Rapture by Anita Baker • Pastor Lisa: Ladies' Night The Power of Vision Scriptural Anchor: Proverbs 29:18 - “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Living Intentionally 4:20- Pastor Lisa shared that she chose to live intentionally when her youngest daughter was three and preparing for preschool. After prayer, God revealed her next season was to work with women. Though initially reluctant, this led to the birth of Arise Women, now in its 14th year. She emphasized accountability, like publicly committing to a marathon, which pushed her to follow through. 9:33- Naomi discussed how her intentionality began at age 22 when she surrendered her life to God and started serving in leadership roles. Conferences and events became opportunities for personal growth and purpose-driven living. Habits for Visionary Living 11:08- Naomi reflected on trusting God's plans over her own and how she navigates challenges through faith. Pastor Lisa added that when plans don't go as expected, perseverance and trust in God's timing are key. 13:50- Naomi shared her journey through infertility and fostering her nephew, which taught her to love deeply beyond biological connections. 18:00- Pastor Lisa emphasized starting each day intentionally with worship and prayer, avoiding distractions like reaching for your phone. She reminded listeners that God can fill the voids in their lives. Vision in Action 21:08- Pastor Lisa asked listeners: “What will you change or do differently for your vision to come to fruition?” She shared her own experience of becoming an empty nester and using this season to deepen her friendships intentionally. 23:52- Naomi highlighted the importance of community, both professionally and personally. She and her husband prioritize fellowship, as community provides encouragement, accountability, and spiritual alignment. Pastor Lisa acknowledged the loneliness of leadership and encouraged listeners to create and nurture their own communities proactively. Advice on Achieving Vision 29:45- Naomi advised breaking visions into smaller, manageable goals to avoid overwhelm. Be kind to yourself and continue laying plans before God, remembering that fear is not from Him. 30:30- Pastor Lisa quoted Helen Keller: “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” She reminded listeners that having vision isn't selfish but necessary for an abundant life. 35:42- Pastor Lisa urged listeners: “Be like my friend Tisha—live intentionally and inspire others to do the same until your last breath.” Announcement 35:48- Arise Conference 2025 • Featuring Pastor Lisa Kai, Bekah Lagafuaina, Leanne Mathesius, and Keira Smallcombe • Dates: February 17-18 & 20-21 • Register now at ariseconference.tv Find books by Lisa Kai: https://www.LisaKai.Tv To partner with me in bringing the word of God around the world, click here: https://raisedonors.com/poundforpoundministries/partner_lisa Stay up to date on all things Lisa Kai: Website: http://www.LisaKai.tv Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisakai
