Overwhelmed: When your situation, circumstances, or responsibilities get so big (or serious) that you feel like you can't handle it all.  Many people feel "Overwhelmed" in their day to day life but God's promises are true despite how you feel.  God doesn't but your feelings do...listen as Pastor Donnie explain how to refocus your attention and affections on Jesus rather than on the stressful circumstances in your life.

Do you want God to bless you with an awesome family…or do you want God to be present in your family? Do you want God to pour blessings on our church…or do you want God to be present in our church? Do you want God to give you a map that directs you through life…or do you want God to take you by the hand and lead you through life?

Fighting to remain in control will always lead to chaos, but giving up control leads to joy!  Pastor Donnie talks about the Magi, Herod, and the life of Ricky Martin.  Life is very different when you are willing trust God and allow Him to control it verses when you fight so hard to control all of the circumstances that life bring.  Who is in control of your life? 

When you focus on the perfection of Jesus…the imperfections of your life fades away.  When the shepherds heard of the announcement that Jesus had been born they were overwhelmed with joy!  Although, they had the dynamic of a hard life at the moment their eyes were focused on Jesus nothing else mattered.  We too can experience that kind of joy if we will focus our affections on Jesus Christ!

FInally, we get to talk about HEAVEN!  A life that is focused on Heaven is a life that experiences the fullness of hope and joy regardless of circumstances here and now.  Heaven is Heaven because God is there and that is where we want to be.

There are only two choices in the afterlife; Hell or Heaven.  Hell is a real place of eternal conscious punishment and needs to be avoided at all costs.  However, if we are in Christ understanding Hell helps us know what we have been saved from and motivates us to be grateful for our salvation.
