The Blindspot Behind the Million Dollar Brands — And What It Means for Your Sales in 2025In this week's Let's Talk Sales, I'm pulling back the curtain on what's actually happening inside seven and eight-figure brands right now—and why it matters more than ever for the way you're selling in 2025. I'm revealing the blind spots even the biggest names in the industry are missing, why their old strategies are quietly bleeding money, and how I'm rebuilding backend sales infrastructure that turns "visibility" into actual income. This episode breaks down what's really not working anymore (even if it used to), why your offer isn't the problem, and the specific pivots your sales process needs to stay relevant and revenue-generating—no matter your size. You'll never look at “doing more” the same way again._____________

AI reasoning models were supposed to be the industry's next leap, promising smarter systems able to tackle more complex problems. Now, a string of research is calling that into question. In June, a team of Apple researchers released a white paper titled “The Illusion of Thinking,” which found that once problems get complex enough, reasoning models stop working. Even more concerning, the models aren't “generalizable,” meaning they might be just memorizing patterns instead of coming up with genuinely new solutions. Researchers at Salesforce, Anthropic, and other AI labs have also raised red flags. The constraints on reasoning could have major implications for the AI trade, businesses spending billions on AI, and even the timeline to superhuman intelligence.

Blind Spot - Week 3 - When I'm More Than by The Summit Church
How do astronomers detect the conditions for life and techno-signatures on exoplanets many lightyears away? What conditions on earth give us clues to how life might have formed elsewhere? How do intelligent civilisations evolve to technomaturity before they destroy themselves? So in this episode we have the mysterious arising of life and eventually intelligent life on our planet to try and explain, to then apply that to our search for other intelligent life in the cosmos. So to explain that we're going to be getting into the co-evolution of the geosphere and the biosphere on earth and their corresponding feedback loops; the possibility of planetary level intelligence; the difficulty of laying a technosphere on top of the geo and biosphere, and the risk of civilisations wiping themselves out before learning how to harmonise the technosphere with the biosphere; We'll be looking at the changes in the field of SETI (the Search for Extraterrestrial Terrestrial Intelligence), since we can now identify potentially life sustaining exo-planets in nearer parts of the galaxy; we're going to get into the newly funded search for techno signatures from advanced civilisations, and potential space junk from the many civilisations that presumably didn't make it; lastly we're going to discuss recent claims of ancient and alleged present visitations to earth by extra terrestrial intelligence.Fortunately to face these tough and complex issues, our guest is a world specialist in astrobiology, with a talent for making these topics fun and imaginative, an astrophysics professor at the University of Rochester, Professor Adam Frank. He's the author of over 200 scientific papers and 6 books for the general public including, “The Blind Spot: why science cannot ignore human experience” and “The Little book of Aliens” which we'll be focussing on today. Episode Overview During Mental Health Awareness Month and Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, we explore a critical business issue affecting healthcare practices nationwide. Male patients with undiagnosed PTSD and mental health challenges are creating hidden operational costs, revenue losses, and staff frustration—all while walking out feeling unheard and unlikely to return. This episode breaks down the business case for recognizing how men's mental health decline presents differently and provides actionable strategies to turn this challenge into a competitive advantage. Note: We approach this topic from a business and operational perspective, deferring to clinical mental health professionals for diagnosis and treatment guidance. Key Highlights The Hidden Financial Impact: Unrecognized men's mental health issues cost practices through incomplete care cycles, staff burnout, reputation damage, and missed referral opportunities Why Traditional Approaches Fail: Current assessment tools and communication strategies were developed primarily for women, creating systematic blind spots for male presentations Different Presentation Patterns: Men with PTSD show anger instead of sadness, risk-taking behaviors, work performance swings, and physical symptoms rather than traditional emotional indicators The Competitive Advantage: Practices that adapt first will capture a significantly underserved market segment and become go-to providers for entire families Strategic Implementation: Small, targeted modifications create maximum impact—environmental changes, communication training, enhanced screening, and referral network development Measurement Matters: Track engagement rates, referral completion, patient satisfaction by gender, and reputation metrics to ensure sustainable change Leadership Opportunity: Position your practice as a leader in comprehensive mental wellness during awareness months Memorable Quotes "You're looking at undiagnosed PTSD and mental health decline in men, and it's creating a cascade of operational problems that are costing you significantly." "Your practice was designed around assessment tools and communication strategies developed primarily for women. This isn't anyone's fault—it's just the historical reality of healthcare development. But it's creating a systematic blind spot." "The practices that thrive in the next decade are going to be the ones that can adapt their operations to meet patients where they are, not where we think they should be." "Every patient who feels unheard, misunderstood, or inadequately treated represents lost revenue, missed opportunities, and potential reputation damage." "Thriving practices aren't built on good intentions—they're built on strategic systems that deliver consistent results for both patients and providers." Action Items for Listeners ✓ Assess your current intake forms for gender-neutral mental health screening ✓ Train staff to ask functional impact questions rather than emotional state questions ✓ Evaluate your waiting room environment and reading materials ✓ Build relationships with mental health providers specializing in men's mental health ✓ Implement tracking systems for male patient engagement and satisfaction ✓ Start with one strategic modification that aligns with your current resources This episode is part of the Thriving Practice podcast series, focused on helping healthcare provider-owners build sustainable, profitable practices through strategic operations and leadership development. This episode delivers a searing exposé on the roots of the U.S.-Russia conflict, tracing it back to 2016 when Lindsey Graham, John McCain, and Amy Klobuchar flew to Ukraine with tanks on Russia's border—while knowing the Russia collusion narrative was false. Now, amid drone strikes deep inside Russian territory, the mystery deepens: Did Donald Trump know? His aides say no. Ukraine says yes. Former intelligence officials and commentators, including Mike Flynn, Steve Bannon, and Rebecca Koffler, warn of escalating NATO involvement and a dangerously uninformed Trump. Is the U.S. already in a direct kinetic war with Russia? And if Trump's being kept in the dark, who's really in control?

Blind Spot - Week 1 - Being Self-Aware by The Summit Church
The Bible has many descriptions of the nature of God. He is a just God, He is a Holy God. He judges sin and purges evil. Satan knew all of this. When he rebelled and attempted to place himself on par with God, his punishment was swift and divine. Such was Satan's perception and experience when he approached Adam and Eve in the garden. Satan had devised a plan to entice these humans into sinning, which would result in swift punishment. He was plotting murder from the beginning by spinning a web of lies. However, there was something Satan did not anticipate because he did not know the whole nature of God. Instead of judgment, God gave humanity a path to salvation through His mercy. Before He executes judgment, God will extend mercy to cover the sin. Not learning from his failure in the garden, Satan tries to kill Jesus to thwart God's plan. Again, he failed because he didn't know the nature of God. Satan's blind spot is that he cannot stop the mercy of God. No matter how broken we are, God's mercy will cover it all. His mercy puts us in the devil's blind spot.

Why do high achievers struggle to celebrate their wins? We excel at achievement but fail at self-acknowledgment.At the core of this challenge lies your brain's evolutionary wiring. Your neural pathways are designed to scan for problems rather than celebrate wins – a survival mechanism that once protected our ancestors but now creates a perpetual state of "never enough" for ambitious individuals. When I work with high-achieving clients, they consistently struggle with the simple task of identifying a single weekly win, not because they haven't made progress, but because their definition of success has become dangerously narrow. Many of us received praise and validation primarily when we succeeded, creating a subconscious pattern where external achievements become the only acceptable form of success. This creates a dangerous trap: defining success from the outside in rather than from the inside out. True fulfillment comes from acknowledging who you're becoming in the journey, not just checking off accomplishments. Like a pilot making small navigational adjustments, the one-degree shifts in how you recognize progress can dramatically change your destination. The solution begins with a simple but powerful practice: documenting one action daily that moved you forward, regardless of the outcome. This rewires your brain to value the journey as much as the destination. Ready to break this cycle? Start celebrating your progress today, and if you need support shifting this mindset, reach out directly on Instagram @Dr.ReanaMulcahy. In this life-altering sermon, Pastor Louis Oliver tackles a spiritual reality most ignore: blind spots. Drawing from Psalm 139 and years of ministry experience, he shares how unchecked issues of the heart can stunt growth, destroy influence, and even turn sincere believers into convert killers.
Ian Altman discusses the biggest blind spot in sales meetings: lack of preparation. He emphasizes the importance of setting realistic goals aligned with the client's needs rather than unrealistic expectations. Altman advises salespeople to identify what clients need to believe to achieve their goals and to prepare for different meeting scenarios (the good, the bad, and the ugly). Role-playing these scenarios with different team members helps salespeople practice and improve their ability to handle various outcomes effectively. He concludes that thorough planning and realistic expectations lead to better client meeting outcomes.Biggest MistakesNot having any planning whatsoever for the meeting.Having unrealistic expectations for the meeting outcome. Not thinking through the logistics of the meeting from the client's perspective.Coming to a meeting with no expectations.Best PracticesSet realistic expectations for the meeting that focus on solving the client's needs.Determine what the client needs to believe for the desired outcome to happen.Prepare questions to ask the client to confirm if they believe what you need them to believe.Plan for three possible scenarios: good, bad, and ugly.Role-play each scenario with a team (salesperson, customer, and observer).
