Because I see God in the little things. I always have and I hope I can help you see Him too. :)
I'm actually back you guys!
This was a very impromptu recording so I'm just kind of rambling (what's new though right?
Hey y'all!! I've finally recorded another episode! It's been a crazy summer but also I just haven't felt a ton of inspiration for the podcast lately. I don't want to record just to record or share things because I think it would “make a good episode.” I want to share from the heart and I finally felt something stemming from my heart and I hope it touches yours somehow and encourages you to better know Jesus. Love y'all!
Welcome back!! School is finally over and I'm ready to start the podcast up again! Today I'm talking about some lessons that helped me move the mountain that has been the Spring 2021 semester. I'm so happy to be back! I love y'all!
I'm proud to be a woman! But that doesn't mean it's easy. I hope y'all don't mind a little venting sesh with me
Today I just share a little something that's been on my mind and heart the last couple of weeks. It might be all over the place but I hope y'all can find some joy or peace or hope or something good from it. God loves you. He's aware of you, even and especially when, you really feel like He's left you out in the dust. I know that with all my heart! Hang in there!! ♥️
Josie recently had a miscarriage and reached out to me because she felt she has thoughts to share that could benefit other women. She talks specifically about miscarriage but I think a lot of the things we talk about can apply to all different kinds of healing. I'm so grateful for Josie asking to join me and for her vulnerability with her experience. She's awesome
Our dear friend and awesome Institute teacher, Ryan Reynolds joins me for this week's episode. Institute is DEFINITELY one of my little things. I find so much strength in it and find that it always ends up being a highlight of my week, especially when it's been a rough one. Ryan and I talk about so many awesome things but there's one I want to highlight. We tend to create this binary, especially when it comes to faith, of people who are strong in their faith and those who are struggling with it. But what if it's more of a spectrum? The purpose of this life is to exercise (or struggle) our faith and so to some degree, we all struggle. I think this is so important to helping us be more understanding of others. I'm so grateful to Ryan for joining me and hope y'all enjoy it too! ☺️
Sister Joy D. Jones, General Primary President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, shared an experience she had where she was blessed to #HearHim. Her words touched my heart and I wanted to share with y'all this week. Go check out her video (Link below) I also briefly mention a planner (also link below) that has been a game changer for me! I'm going to talk about it on IG. Visit @little.things.podcast on Instagram. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/inspiration/consistently-striving-to-hear-him?lang=eng https://funcheaporfree.com/productivity-planner-guide/
Our brother-in-law, Mike, joins me on today's episode! Coming from a Buddhist background, Mike has a unique perspective on gaining a testimony of God and Jesus Christ. Join us as he shares his story and how he can now see that God was there all along!
I'm so grateful for Jessica joining me today! We had so much fun!
As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in Atlanta Georgia, I struggled a lot with perfectionism and there were many times I was so discouraged that all I could do was sit on my bed and cry. But I learned some important lessons from this experience that have changed my life. I hope y'all can find something in this episode that speaks to you, especially my fellow perfectionists out there! #mypeople God is pleased with your efforts! And if you give Him what you have, however meager it may seem, He CAN use you to do His work! ♥️
I know this isn't a Come Follow Me podcast but I wanted to share some of my thoughts from this week's reading in Joseph Smith History. It can be so hard to understand why God lets us experience dark times in our lives but I feel like Joseph's experience can teach us a lot about what we can learn from those experiences. ❤️
I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other! It has been full of plenty hard things. But I have also seen a lot of good things and I wanted to dedicate an episode focusing on that to end the new year thinking positive and to start the new year with a more hopeful mindset. I'm grateful for my sister-in-law, Chelsea, and all of the beautiful thoughts she shared about her 2020 tender mercies. I would invite y'all to think about the blessings you saw in 2020 and how you can apply the lessons you learned into 2021!
My hot husband, Cody, joins me today to share how he sees God in his life. I've mentioned before how his perspective is different from mine and now you get to hear his experience firsthand. I'm so grateful for his vulnerability as he shares some of the spiritual struggles he's been experiencing and how those have helped him discover who he is and who God is to Him. ❤️
Please forgive my scatter brain today as I share some thoughts about when you're not feeling motivated. It's been a long couple of weeks and I have NOT been feeling it. Super unmotivated and uninspired. But that's ok! There's this expectation that we “should” be super motivated and productive all the time. But it doesn't have to be that way. Hope you enjoy!
I'm so excited to have my mom join me as the first guest on my podcast! Traditions are an important part of our family and my relationship with my mom. We had so much fun talking about and reflecting on some of our favorite traditions and why they hold a special place in our hearts! I hope y'all have fun listening! Happy holidays!! ❤️
Please forgive my scatter brain today as I share some thoughts I've been having about service. I've found myself shrinking inside through this pandemic rather than expanding outward. We all need some lifting during this time so let's lift each other by seeing others deeply and remembering THEIR little things!
Today I share my thoughts about Alma 37:6 in The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Why does God use the small and simple to bring about His work? What great things are brought to pass through those things? Let's explore together! His Grace video link: https://youtu.be/ckuIXECbB5E
I am so excited to be sharing this journey with y'all! Before I really get going I just wanted to give you a little taste of what this is going to look like. I hope y'all enjoy! :)
