Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Today's shout-out goes to Daryl Ackerman from Becker, MN. Daryl, your partnership with us through Project23 is bringing compassion and miracles to others. This study is for you. Our text today is Mark 8:1-10: In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him and said to them, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away.” And his disciples answered him, “How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place?” And he asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.” And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd. And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them. And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full. And there were about four thousand people. And he sent them away. And immediately he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.— Mark 8:1-10 This crowd didn't just stumble into a sermon. They stayed for three days. No food. No preparation. Just hungry hearts chasing after truth. And Jesus notices. He doesn't just preach—He provides. He sees their empty stomachs and says something compassionate. In my words: “I feel for the people. They have full souls and empty stomachs, and I cannot leave them in this condition.” But the word Jesus uses here is—"compassion,"—which means to feel it in your gut. It wasn't pity. It wasn't obligation. It was love that moved him to act. And the disciples? They still don't get it. They respond: “How can we feed all these people out here?” Did they forget the feeding of the 5,000 just a few chapters ago? But Jesus doesn't shame their forgetfulness—He invites them to participate. “How many loaves do you have?” They hand him what they have. Just seven loaves and a few small fish. And Jesus does what He always does—He multiplies. Everyone eats. Everyone is satisfied. And there are leftovers—seven baskets full. That's the kind of King we serve. A King who notices. Who cares. Who multiplies. Some of us need this reminder today. Jesus sees your situation. He knows you're worn down. He knows what you lack. And he's not asking you for what you don't have. He's asking, “What do you have?” A little time. A few dollars. A short prayer. An act of obedience. That's where he starts. And if you give it to Jesus, he will use it. He will multiply it. Because Jesus still feeds. He still satisfies. He still multiplies. But it begins with you bringing what you have, and then you will see Jesus has no lack. #GodProvides, #JesusFeeds, #FaithInAction ASK THIS: What small “loaves” could you offer to Jesus today? Why do we forget what God has already done for us? How do you know when God is stirring you to compassion? What area of your life feels empty or “desolate” right now? DO THIS: Offer one small act of obedience today and ask God to multiply it for his glory. PRAY THIS: Jesus, I trust you with the little I have. Multiply it for Your glory and help me to see others through your compassionate eyes. Amen. PLAY THIS: “Jireh” by Elevation Worship & Maverick City

It is easy to fall into despair before our own personal problems, the challenges faced by loved ones, and the brokenness of our society and world. It is tempting to refuse to accept that we remain responsible for offering ourselves to Christ as best we can for healing and transformation in holiness, regardless of what is going on in our lives, families, or world

Many persons believe that they do not have enough resources for themselves. Therefore, in their mind, they think that they do not have anything to share with others. However, each of us has something to give. When we surrender what we have,it becomes a blessing to others. By faith, bring what you have to Jesus and watch Him work on your behalf. God bless you all. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hyacinth-reid/message

When tornadoes ripped across the entire state of Mississippi last month, many communities were thrown into chaos. What followed is an example of humanity and southern hospitality at its finest. When Salvation Army units deployed to the area, crew members discovered a distribution center that was not an official distribution center at all. Renee, a longtime resident of Blackhawk, explained. “Loaves and Fishes. That's the best way to sum it up. Ms. Ailene came out here yesterday with 25 biscuits and water, and it's grown from there.” Inspired by one person intending to serve only breakfast, community members started to bring donations. There were multiple tents providing any number of necessities and caravans of all-terrain vehicles taking coolers of ice and supplies to people still trapped by impassible roads. The Salvation Army will continue to assess community needs to ensure survivors have their immediate needs met. The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin-Chapter 18:Loaves and Fishes, and Civil War freedomforceinternational.org/ In 1910, a small group of individuals that made up over a quarter of the world's wealth met and gathered on a small island off the coast of Brunswick to agree the blueprint for the Federal Reserve. In The Creature from Jekyll Island, Edward Griffin forensically set outs the dangers of the Federal Reserve, fiat money and the fractional-reserve banking system. Through its capacity to create money from nothing, Griffin argues that the Federal Reserve is not only incapable of achieving its stated objectives, but instead creates economic instability, encourages war, and ultimately acts as an instrument of totalitarianism. A powerful reminder that God is the supplier of our physical needs as well. He cares and knows what we need and will perform miracles, if need be, to feed His sheep. Trust Him and follow His lead and remember all the times He has provided for you before and know that He will always come through for you when things get hard.
Sometimes what we see, or think isn't what we get. And though His thoughts and ways are above our thoughts and ways, we are often tested to see if our thoughts and ways have been transformed to reflect what we have seen our Jesus do and what we have heard our Jesus say. In today's episode inspired by Stevie the rescue pup, Sarge and Mark discuss what it looks like to partner with God and join Him on the mission to rescue this world. Many of us have experienced both deep rescue in our lives, as well as, the opportunity to be used by God in the rescue of others. God calls us to bring whatever crumbs we have and entrust them to Him as He multiplies our offering and uses it to perform miracles in our midst over and over again. President Biden recently announced that he was going to "spend" $500 billion to help the student debt crisis. This is nothing more than the next phase of the Democrats' disastrous economic policy in an attempt to buy votes in future elections. It's all a sham, and only further devalues the dollars currently in our wallets as well as every future dollar.
In Sacred Scripture the followers of Jesus saw over five thousand people who were hungry and the disciples were overwhelmed as to how to feed them. Jesus told them to give him what they had---fives loaves and two fish. Then he miraculously multiplied what was offered and there was more than enough food for everyone. When we see so much need in our midst, the Evil One wants us to be deceived into thinking there is nothing we can do. Jesus says the exact opposite: just give me what you have: your time, efforts, sacrifices, resources and simply watch how I will use them in miraculous way to satisfy the hunger and thirst of my people. There is nothing to small we can give to the Lord---he just asks for our very best.
