For those who often feel forgotten, it is good to be reminded that our God doesn't forget us. In this brief topical study, we consider three people in the Bible who called out to God that He remember them, and we see what He did in response to their cry. Receive If you ever struggle with feeling forgotten, it's good to remember that our God doesn't forget us. God has promised to never leave or forsake us.  As we consider three people in the Bible who called out to God and we see that He remembered them, we get a beautiful picture of how God hears our cries and remembers us. How could trusting that God hasn't forgotten you help you, especially in your times of trials? Reflect  How does Hannah's story in 1 Samuel 1 comfort you knowing that God remembers you even in your pain, sorrow, and heartache? How does Samson's story found in Judges 16 encourage you that God remembers you even in your times of weakness and failure? How does the story of the thief on the cross in Luke 23 encourage you that Jesus remembered you when He was on the cross?  Respond (Use this prayer to start a conversation with God) “Dear God, thank You that You always remember me and never forget me! Help me to trust that You are always with me. Help me to know You are near no matter what trials I'm facing.” Discover more about the topics in this episode with these recommended resources Mentioned in this episode: Discover the Word Podcast Archive Listen: In God's Presence  Are You There God? What if the number of candles on your birthday cake isn't the most important measure of how you're aging? Two people can be the exact same chronological age and have remarkably different levels of strength, cardiovascular fitness, metabolic health, inflammation, energy, resilience, and physical capability. In this episode, Dr. Thomas Hemingway explores the emerging science of biological versus chronological aging—and, more importantly, what you can actually do about it. Drawing from longevity research, his experience as a physician, and the principles behind his upcoming book The Biology of Becoming, Dr. Hemingway shares seven powerful signals that can influence the trajectory of how we age—including muscle, cardiovascular fitness, metabolic health, sleep, inflammation, nutrition, and something that may matter more than all the biomarkers: knowing what you're getting healthy for. You'll also hear a powerful client story, the simple reason a 10-minute walk after dinner can matter more than you think, why muscle may be your body's most important “retirement account,” and a practical 7-Day Becoming Younger Experiment you can begin immediately. Because longevity isn't really about trying to live forever. It's about building a body capable of continuing to say yes to the people, experiences, adventures, and purpose that make life worth living. Your birthday will keep changing. You can lead the team, close the deal, hold an entire organisation's chaos in your head. And yet somewhere in your kitchen, there's a bag of salad turning into a science experiment. You know it's there. You're not dealing with it today. This episode is about that gap — and the secret, if-anyone-knew shame that comes with it. Because the more capable you are over here, the more brutal that inner voice gets over there. My guest is Dr Emma Offord, clinical psychologist and founder of Divergent Life, specialist in high-masking neurodivergence — the people who look completely sorted while paddling like mad underneath. This is not an episode about ADHD. It's about why your nervous system runs on interest, not importance — and why that changes everything about how you get the boring, important things done.  If you've ever nailed something genuinely hard, then sat frozen in front of something tiny — this one's for you. In this episode: Bore-out, task paralysis, and the interest-based nervous system. Why it's not laziness or a discipline problem. Body doubling, scaffolding, and the accommodations high achievers secretly need. Changing your expectations — not lowering them. And shame as a "starter motor": familiar, effective, and so expensive. In this week's episode Aaron and Kevin have a conversation about thanking God for all of the simple things in life. This conversation is centered around Psalm 118 that begins and ends with the words "Oh give thanks to the LORD for he is good for his steadfast love endures forever." It is very easy for us to neglect the good and simple gifts of God that He daily and richly provides to support this body and life. This psalm continues to call us back to God's activity in our lives in real ways, which then draws and compels us to praise and thank Him. Psalm 118 also contains many other significant verses and themes which connect to the greater Biblical narrative. The guys dabble in a variety of those topics as well. Consider starting a conversation with someone else about something you hear in this episode. We hope you enjoy it!

What if the real win this summer isn't building something new… but learning to actually enjoy what God has already given you? So many Christian fathers spend their lives grinding, building, planning, and striving that they forget to stop and receive the gifts sitting right in front of them: their current stage of life, meaningful friendships, simple meals, time in God's Word, and quiet moments of peace. Don't fall into the “performance trap” and lose your ability to savor life. Scripture teaches that enjoyment itself is a gift from God—and an Abrahamic father is called not only to build faithfully, but to receive God's goodness with gratitude and pass that joy down to his children. Because when I first started sharing this work, after I'd helped several companies get built and sold, I shared it at a couple local colleges and I shared it at some giant local businesses here in Orange County, California. And I took a poll every time I reteach this class. And every single time everybody was holding their breath and everybody was holding their breath a lot more than they needed to. And you are holding your breath more than you need to. You are holding your breath so that you're only breathing to the top 5% of your lung capacity. You have this giant lung capacity That you can bring oxygen into your system. And, and I was reading some statistics the other day that stated that one of the very ways that people actually lose weight is through their breath. Like think about it, that is ridiculous. But that makes so much sense. You're doing more physical activity. You are going to be breathing and exhaling your garbage energy, your garbage toxic, long energy, and that's going to help you release weight. You are exhaling and inhaling more thoroughly. And so no wonder you're going to lose weight through your breath. But one of the ways is to really allow yourself to fully breathe. We actually don't breathe for success. We actually deprive our lungs, our entire physiology of breath, of oxygen. The thing that our business needs the most is oxygen. We deprive it of that because we're depriving ourselves of that. And the fascinating thing about this behavior of holding our breaths often comes from something when we were a child that maybe happened that got us to hold our breath. I remember the first time I consciously held my breath and I was watching some scary movie. It was about mushroom people, and the mushroom people were coming to get me. And I remember holding my breath for a long time and I let go. And I remember thinking, oh yeah, that's scary. And so anytime we're scared, we're going to hold our breath. And so life cannot be that scary. Success and business and whatever you're doing cannot be that scary, so scary that you are holding your breath, because the more you hold your breath, the less you're bringing low and oxygen into your whole being, the less you're able to expand. Did you notice that time can actually expand when you breathe And you hold at the top and you exhale and breathe and hold at the bottom time actually can start working in your favor. And holding your breath is going to actually speed time up or perceptions of it. Anyway, so I wrote a whole book on this, the Power of Breath. I wrote a whole other book on it. Learned to meditate in two minutes for the lazy grizz, and time deficient. And the thing about breath is it is the thing that will help you thrive and succeed, getting your health back, getting your clarity back, getting your creativity back. And I believe that it can get your prosperity back. So try it for a week and get back to me. Let me know how it's going. Sheevaun Moran, go to shavan moran.com. THE BEST DAY PODCAST, Encouragement, Motivation, Positive Mindset, & Intentional Living

Being a human in 2026 just feels challenging. We are being called to show up to our day as all the versions of ourselves, stay informed, be compassionate, stay present, still feel joy, take care of ourselves, when the reality is we are living in an ever connected world with so much at our fingertips. I don't even have to explain this to you because you get it too. Lately my anxiety has been creeping up really quick and in some moments it feels all too consuming. So today, I just want to share some of the things that I have done in the past week to take care of myself in order to not feel as anxious all of the time. My hope is that this simple reflection of what has worked for me this past week, will serve as encouragement for you as you process and live out your life in the next coming weeks! As mentioned in the episode - Magnesium Ease Sleep Spray (affiliate link - I do earn a small commission off purchases when using my link! In this conversation we talk about Brook's unique worldview, built around restaurant hospitality, tastemaking (the not annoying kind), and design. We talk about the recent British Invasion for restaurants in America, and his acquisition of the Houston's / Hillstone training manual.  And before that we have a great conversation with Johno Morisano and chef Mashama Bailey, partners at The Grey, an acclaimed and progressive restaurant located in historic downtown Savannah, Georgia. In this interview we chat with the pair about how they think about the big picture (together) and bounce around menu ideas (sometimes, not together). It's an enlightening and entertaining conversation about collaborating in a modern dining setting.  The views expressed in this podcast are those of the speakers – not of Resy—and do not constitute professional advice. You're just one room away from everything changing. Chris and I just wrapped our two-day VIP Mastermind. In this episode, we share our biggest takeaways on what makes these small, intentional rooms so powerful and how we built an entire business and life by copying and pasting one courageous move. We also talk about what really helped me overcome debilitating anxiety, and a spontaneous Q&A segment where we asked each other totally unscripted questions, such as how Chris handles coaching fears and what I really think about my style glow-up.
