- What simple thing changed your life? - Happy JON Day! - Iowa preps for the Cy-Hawk game! - Interrupting a date night.
Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves to declutter the entire house… in the busiest month of the year? And why does December always feel like the moment we should suddenly “get it together” with home organization, even when we're already stretched thin?If you've ever wondered why big decluttering projects feel impossible in December, you're not alone. There's a real reason your organizing momentum disappears the moment the holiday chaos begins, and it has nothing to do with motivation. In this episode, I'm breaking down the hidden forces that make December the hardest month for declutter projects, tidying marathons, and anything that requires sustained focus. And more importantly?I'm sharing 6 simple things you can organize instead that will give you back your time, your calm, and your sanity.Because sometimes the smartest home organization strategy isn't doing more... it's doing what actually supports you in the season you're in.If you're tired of feeling behind, overwhelmed by clutter, or frustrated that your family life gets more chaotic this time of year, this episode is going to help you breathe again.I'll show you how intentional, realistic organization can stabilise your days, reduce the noise, and make December feel lighter, without adding another stressful decluttering project to your plate. What if this month wasn't about achieving more… but about protecting your energy? And what if the smallest organizational shifts could bring the biggest sense of relief?Inside, I'll walk you through gentle, doable declutter strategies that work with your real life, especially if you're already navigating family routines, neurodivergent needs, and holiday overwhelm. If you're listening on Spotify and Living Clutter Free Forever showed up in Your 2025 Wrapped, I would love to hear from you. …And we're back!Yes, first episode of No Tags for a few weeks, and while we do appreciate the concern, it's just the two of us running this show, we both have jobs that we do it around, and sometimes we get really busy. Also Tom was in Asia for three weeks and most importantly, we were making a book. That's right: the second No Tags book is here! Titled ‘Conversations on underground music culture, Volume 2', it's essentially a sequel to our first book: a compendium of the best interviews and conversations we've had on the second year of No Tags, with five exclusive pieces to boot. You can order it now over on our Shopify store! We'll be launching the book on 11th December at the ICA, where we'll be joined by Djrum, Anjali Prashar-Savoie and Finn. We're down to the last 50 tickets for the show, and we'll have the new book on sale on the night plus some other treats. We're excited to see you there – get your tickets from the ICA website. Finally, there's a pod this week! We've spent the last month sucking up culture like the sponges we are – and we're not just talking about Tom's late night ramen adventures in Tokyo. We debrief recent trips to Bang Face Weekender and Simple Things, as well as live shows from Smerz and Model/Actriz. We also share our memories (not to mention some potentially spurious speculation) about the great Bloc Weekend debacle of 2012. If you know you know. It's a loose episode that's heavy on the yapping, but hey – we were making a book! It's good to be back. See you at the ICA. STANDARS SEMANAL.-Honeysuckle rose.-VINILOSMITICOSDELJAZZ.-951.George Russell The RCA Victor Jazz Workshop.-JAZZACTUALIDAD.-STEINBERT-COBOS QUARTET Título: The Jazz Workshop. Músico: George Russell. Acompañantes: Art Farmer (tp); Barry Galbraith (g); Hal McKusick (sa); Milt Hinton & Teddy Kotick (b); Bill Evans (p); Joe Harris, Osie Johnson & Paul Motian (dm). Fecha de Grabación: 1956. Lugar de Grabación: New York. Sello Discográfico: RCA. Nº de temas: 14. Formato: CD. Instrumento: Piano. Estilo: Hardbop.
The simple things that bring us joy is what we often times forget. We all have to remember that we have a choice every day to be happy or sad. The choice is yours. It's important that we fill our cup up daily by doing the things that brings us pure joy. Whatever that simple thing is, I encourage you to never forget and do it often. Your happiness depends on it.
Today we’re joined by one of the world’s leading experts on teen drinking and prevention—Professor Rob Turrisi, a Penn State researcher whose 35+ years of work have shaped national programs through MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and schools across the U.S. In this important and hope-filled conversation, Professor Turrisi unpacks why teens start drinking, what actually works when it comes to prevention, and how parents can foster healthy, connected relationships that reduce risk and build trust. If you’re a parent, mentor, teacher, or anyone who cares about the next generation, this episode offers both science and a compassionate look at what helps, what doesn’t, and how small, everyday actions can have lifelong impact.

If you're struggling to make it as a seller, you may be unknowingly doing things that a top performer would never do. To help you figure out what you may be doing wrong, I'm going back to episode 1831 with my chat with Andrew Barbuto, a seasoned sales professional and author. He shares five things that top-performing sellers always do to help them succeed in finding clients and closing deals. Andrew Barbuto's BackgroundAndrew Barbuto is an accomplished sales professional and author with a deep understanding of the intricacies of top-performing sales strategies. He shares his sales methodologies in his insightful book, “Top Sales Producer: How To Crush Your Sales Quota.” Andrew's commitment to excellence in sales makes him a valuable resource for anyone aspiring to elevate their sales performance and effectively manage their client interactions.Key Practices of Top PerformersAndrew shares the five things that top performers do differently than average performers. 1. Time Management: Top performers allocate their time to maximize revenue-generating activities. Start early on your work tasks and focus only on the ones that bring in money. Also, don't forget to put the phone down to help avoid distractions.2. Research: You may find researching on a specific client to be long and boring, but it's one of the most important tasks top performers do. Andrew explains that rather than adopting a broad approach, successful sellers conduct targeted research to identify and connect with the right prospects. 3. Meeting Preparation: You can avoid generic questions and tailor conversations to address specific needs by coming to a meeting prepared. This is why it's important to research a prospect before contacting them. 4. Prospecting Activities: Andrew recommends employing a multi-channel approach with at least seven touch points, including phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages. This persistence helps in turning cold prospects into warm leads.5. Leveraging CRM: Creating detailed notes will allow you to maintain contact with prospects and provide personalized value to each one of them. You can do this by using a CRM system to help strengthen your client relationships. “Top producers typically will try to allocate as much time as they possibly can to revenue-generating activities.” – Andrew Barbuto.Resources Learn more sales tips from Andrew from his book,“Top Sales Producer: How To Crush Your Sales Quota.”Follow Andrew on LinkedIn and YouTube. The reason attendees asked if they could come back. My honest take on not having all the answers. How Lori turned a magazine cover into her “backstage pass”. One thing I must do in the next five years. Why style became a confidence tool and audience magnet. The ripple effect of getting in one powerful room. In this episode, we share our biggest takeaways on what makes these small, intentional rooms so powerful and how we built an entire business and life by copying and pasting one courageous move.
