Brandi Shigley walked through my front door in a designer leather jacket and Denver Avalanche t-shirt from 1996. Her whoosh was immediate—a mixture of truth, grit and mischief—the kind of vibe that makes you want to dance like your life depends on it and give yourself completely to a higher, happier force. When we started recording on the big blue couch, that force poured through with so much fun and ease. I learned how her iconic purse designs made their way from a Trapper Keeper in the 3rd grade to Paris Boutiques and Lucky Magazine, how she created her first website from a Word document (this is before google, people) and how to strum a ukulele to a NKOTB ballad. Tune in and join us in our delightful discovery on the magic carpet and be sure to SUBSCRIBE for more high-vibe interviews and life-brightening inspo! Magic Carpet Life - Episode 16: Flying into Your Wildest Dreams with Sammy Shoebox Moses by Tiffany Josephs
I'm back on the big blue couch with special guest and nine year old expert on life, Eve Josephs. She shares with us the secrets of the Universe for chilling out, taking it easy, and having more fun. Tune in to turn up your vibrations and create a life that feels like a magic carpet ride! magiccarpetlife.com
Today, I’m serving up for you an enchanted practice that you can use as soon as you start your day to raise your vibrations and feel more powerful in what you want to create. One of the core beliefs I have as a creator of my own reality is that life is always happening FOR me, not to me, according to how I’m feeling. I like to call that place of how I’m feeling my set point, where everything else flows out of. That’s why I personally take as much time as I need the first thing in my day to make sure I’m on my magic carpet, buzzing with high-flying feelings before I open up my email or tend to any life stuff. So this practice I’m sharing with you today is one of those tools I use to get me there, and it’s inspired from my theater days!
Mermaid or Unicorn? These are the very important things my daughter and I discuss and more on this week's Magic Carpet Life. Tune in and turn up your vibrations!
If I’m a cosmic cheerleader, then Sarah Davison-Tracy is the captain of the cheerleading team. She walked through my front door last week to join me on the big blue couch and I couldn’t make it through the introduction before feeling teary-eyed and undone. This woman’s magic is fierce. It sort of washes over you unexpectedly until you pay attention, still yourself, and surrender to it. In this interview, she shares intimate details about her journey as a human rights advocate, mother, wife, and visionary behind Seeds of Exchange, a “collective of everyday people who are committed to light up the world so that a mighty difference can be made together.” Her book, Live Ablaze and Light Up the World launches on Amazon on June 20. I’m delighted to help fan to flame her bold, authentic voice. Tune in to our conversation and let the magic we shared fuel your own light-making. Go to seedsofexchange.org to learn more, or grab a copy of her book on Amazon: http://bit.ly/liveablaze

He's the Chief Strategist and Co-Founder of The Center for Awesomeness and is a technologist, Licensed Spiritual Practitioner, Tony Robbins Mastery University graduate (yes, he’s walked on fire several times), and an Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator. On this show, Nick and I chat about his passion for fostering the deep connection between the head and the heart through the power of questions and the challenge of action.
Magic Carpet Life - Episode 10: Becoming Whole with Suzanne Hanna by Tiffany Josephs
Today I’m introducing a brand-new series on the podcast called “Fly the Carpet”. It’s my intention with everything I do in Magic Carpet Life to create high-vibe content that that whooshes you on a soul-level, and awakens you to all that magic you’ve got going on inside of you... but most of all it’s gotta be easy to apply to your everyday life. So you’re going to get really practical lifestyle tools on these segments that you can immediately begin to use in your life to raise your vibrations and feel more powerful in what you want to create. I really believe that is the whole point of our existence here, to amaze ourselves with what we can do WHEN we are fully engaging in our magic and have a crazy amount of fun creating from the stardust that we are!
Magic Carpet Life - Episode 8: The Joy of Discovery & Happy Awakenings with Heather Okimoto by Tiffany Josephs
Do you know about Mandy Straight Magic? It's a thing. Listen for yourself as we chat on the big blue couch about her Ted Talk, being the colorful sheep, and crazy plant ladies.
Today it’s on my heart to share with you a simple, yet powerful practice to make your home a more magical place. In the chaos of life, especially for those on the path of awakening, our homes are everything. They nourish us, ground us, entertain us, and recharge our energetic frequencies so that we can go back out and offer our magic to the world with a little greater ease. But getting our homes to do this, like with everything, takes intention. Tune in to learn two things that you can do in less than 30 minutes that are totally free, and you don’t even need to hire Joanna Gaines or demo crew depending on the state of things in your house. So try out these exercises and tell me: Where in your home needs the most attention and why? How does your home want to nourish you in the next level of your magic-making? What’s the chatter you heard as you walked around? Share your insights in the comments below or fly over to magiccarpetlife.com and join the conversation there!
Tell me if this has ever happened to you: you’re moving through your day, going to the post office, meeting someone for coffee, making food in your kitchen… And a question pours in to your consciousness that won’t let you go. You try to honor it by noticing it, writing it down, giving it a voice and find that it’s message has this wildness and intensity, like a big flashing neon light from your innermost place that says PAY ATTENTION. Last night I set my alarm so that I could wake up before the sun and spend some time with this question and I want to explore the vastness and maybe even the danger of it with you in this session. But before I invite its magic, I want to first just put out there in this space that EVERY TIME we step into the realm of soul we risk losing ourselves to a wilder reality. I think that’s the nature of inner work or discovery itself, to drop us out of the auto-responder tendency of life and into the messy, untamed world of the unknown. Soul work is shedding old skin so we can make room for what’s new. There is always something new and higher available to us, but without that risk of losing what’s not working anymore, we won’t see the wonders of what’s possible. Mary Oliver said it like this: “When it's over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms…. I don't want to end up simply having visited this world.” So what does that look like for me, to be a bride married to amazement? How can I be a bridegroom, taking the world into my arms? And this question: What does it mean to be fully alive?
Every great story starts with a crisis. Sarabeth Berk was working as an art teacher in Aspen, CO when she began to get restless. “Yes, I was teaching art. But I was ready to proclaim that I was more than that title. Inside of me is an innovator, a disrupter, a systems developer, and I had to let go of outside perceptions, and go through the question of where do I belong in my work?” Her journey took into deep research to eventually get her PhD while she explored this question with countless professionals: “What are you doing when you feel most alive?” And she took that inquiry into the workplace, where identity is most often etched with a black Sharpie. It’s what has led her to begin writing her book More Than My Title which is a self-fulfilling prophecy and message of hope for the new breed of professionals finding their way in an ever-expanding gig economy. Tune in to our fascinating conversation as we discuss: : How to access your own zone of genius and actually do what you love/love what you do. : Getting more comfortable with asking tough questions that open to soul-level epiphanies. : Discovering what outside perceptions are limiting you in the workplace or your business. : What is hybridity and who are the exemplars? Taylor Swift. Oprah. Bono, to name a few. : Finding the sweet spot of expressing our multiple identities without overwhelm and scatteredness. (It all goes back to purpose.) : Expressing individuality is totally in style. (According to Vogue, there are no more trends.) So now I’d love to know: where are you on your awakening journey and how has this conversation inspired you to discover your own multiple identities? What does ‘doing what you love’ look like for you? Comment below and share your magic! To your genius, Tiffany
Magic Carpet Life - Episode 3: Taking off the Mask with Beauty Shaman, Suzanne Blons by Tiffany Josephs
Magic Carpet Life - Episode 2: Dancing on the White House Lawn & the Courage to Be Myself by Tiffany Josephs
I’m on my couch with two of my besties in this first episode of Magic Carpet Life, the Podcast. I invited them over to dance, giggle and ask juicy questions about why we make excuses, numbing out, feeling curiosity in our body and why pleasure is still a cultural taboo. Not only are these two of my favorite people on the planet because of the insanely delightful friends they are to me, they’re also Jedi-Priestesses in their fields. Amanda is a sex, love and relationship coach who’s known for 3+ hour pleasure trips (lengthy self-practice is part of her curriculum!) AND she’s married with a 5-year-old, and Jen is Denver’s darling firestarter, running her own experiential wellness company and is a mama herself to a magical teenage daughter (who, by the way, I believe is secretly a Fairy Queen.) These women will whoosh you. Tune in to get activated and learn more about: The feminine magic of dropping into the moment 5:00 What is surrender work? 10:02 Tools to make the heavy stuff more fun: 11:02 Holding the hurt instead of denying it. 13:00 Feeling curiosity in your body and getting amplified with other people. 16:45 How to “resource” to diffuse negativity and light up your emotional body. 19:58 Another way to look at numbing. 24:57
