In this episode, we discuss the good and bad news of the gospel. In Romans chapter one through three, Paul takes us through the condemnation of mankind, the need of God’s righteousness and justification. The good news is we are justified to God through our faith in Christ. The bad news is if we refuse God, we are given over to our lustful hearts of impurity, degrading passions and depraved minds. Therefore, we will be condemned and die in our sins. Please join this important conversation. For all biblical references go to our Facebook and Instagram page @nextlevelequip. In this episode, through the inspired Word of God, I navigate us through various scriptures that teach us the gospel of Christ. Within the Christian community, we are seeing a rise of universalism and “Jesus loves everyone” rhetoric. The problem is we do not find any of this in the Bible. I blame the modern church for the failure of teaching the hard truth regarding man’s human condition and God’s sovereign plan for salvation. So grab your bible and join in the conversation. In this episode, we discuss one of the most powerful teachings from Jesus in the gospels. As we continue facing economic and financial hardships due to COVID-19, we hope this provides you tremendous value. If you need help with your finances, please join the conversation.
In this episode, we discuss the powerful doctrine of God’s sovereign election. This is a controversial topic among Christians, but there is no doubt through the God breathed scriptures this is truth. We walk through thirty verses that talk about the elect, the chosen, those predestined and chosen before the foundation of the world. Our salvation is not by our choice or free will, but by the Father who chooses. Grab your bible and join the conversation. In this episode, Carrie and I share what our true purpose is as Christians. In this episode, we discuss God’s intention and roles for marriage. We unpack powerful parts of scripture that help set us straight. Christian communities have abandoned the Bible and God’s defined intention for marriage and blended in world views. This has been a destructive formula and continues to tear Christian marriages and families apart. As we walk through the scriptures, we encourage you to follow along. We hope this opens your eyes and heart on biblical truth vs. worldly ways and ultimately changes your marriage. In this episode, we complete our 3 part series with pillar #3 “Sharing Our Faith.” As Christians, we are called to take the message of Jesus to our friends, co-workers, neighbors, classmates, teammates and communities. Jesus commanded us in the “Great Commission” in Matthew 28 and it was a clear call to action. The Bible gives us many verses on bringing the good news to others. Unfortunately, statistics would suggest that very few Christians share their faith. Why? We discuss some of these barriers, possible outcomes and provide some steps to help equip, build confidence and motivate you to start sharing your faith today. In this episode, we continue our three part series breaking down the 3 Pillars of Spiritual Development. The second is “sanctification” and the process of becoming more holy. This is a process you cannot accomplish without the help of the Holy Spirit. We have two major forces working against us; the worldly influence around us and fellow Christians who are not living in accordance to their faith. Therefore, this journey might become lonely and difficult. However, Jesus makes it clear we must not be lukewarm and be willing to give up everything to follow Him. We might call it extreme, but being a Christian is extreme. We give you three ways to stay the course. Join the conversation by pushing ▶️. In this episode, we begin a three part series breaking down the three pillars of spiritual development. The first is a “personal relationship” with God. We are in an age where relationships have shifted through our cell phones. However, we cannot have a relationship with God through Snapchat, text, Instagram or Facebook messenger. God wants to have a personal relationship with us. We were made in His image and He knew us before we were formed in the womb. Even though we don’t see or audibly hear Him, he loves us and is attentive to our heart, thoughts and prayers. We can build this relationship three ways; inviting Him into every aspect of our lives, continuous prayer and communication and through reading His Word. Join the conversation by pressing ▶️. In tonight’s episode, we discuss the destructive and poisonous topic of gossip. It is all around us everyday and we often actively participate in these negative conversations. In a lot of cases, we don’t even realize we are deeply engaged. In order to take control of it, we need to understand why we gossip. We need to learn what the Bible teaches about it. Lastly, we can apply ways to equip ourselves to avoid or refrain from participating. Join the conversation by pressing ▶️. Also, please share this episode with your friends and family! In this episode, we dig into one of my favorite books in the Bible, Thessalonians. These are letters from Apostle Paul of encouragement and instructions to Christians on how to live together in preparation of Christ’s return. Yes, Jesus is coming back again! Amazingly, we don’t hear much about this major event. However, it’s mentioned over three hundred times in the New Testament. In preparation, Paul gives us over a dozen specific instructions to follow in this short paragraph of 1 Thessalonians 5: 13-23. I walk through each one and offer some life application ideas. Some of these are very challenging and will take prayer, patience and grace to successfully live them out. Next Level faith requires us to take teachings from the Bible and put them into practice. In this episode, I discuss the challenges of being a Christian in the business environment. After 18 years of being in sales, I have been in many tough situations. I have not always been successful or acted like a believer. We often put on our masks during the work week. We cover our faith and those around us don’t see Jesus through our words or actions. I challenge Christians who may be living double lives, take off your mask. Be who God expects no matter where you are, who you’re with or what uniform you put on. Peter says; “be self-controlled and alert.” This is an important step to change and avoiding various temptations. In this episode, Carrie and I bring caution and awareness to the various false teachings and self-help influencers out there. As Christians, if we have abandoned the Bible, it’s teachings and instructions, we become susceptible to worldly influence. We provide you with three biblical ways to help identify a false teacher. We also share some real examples of self-help themes and language to bring awareness. As believers, we don’t need self-help, we don’t need others opinions, but only Gods. We have been given two great developmental tools; the Holy Spirit and the Bible. So, don’t be fooled because no person, book or vlog can provide you with God’s transformational power. In this episode, I discuss what it means to be a Christian. We explore what Jesus and the scriptures teach us. A Christian means following Jesus and obeying his commands. It’s that simple; but it’s a commitment. As we evaluate our church and Christian communities, we might see a contrast to our lifestyle and what the Bible says. Has our faith conformed to the patterns of this world? Have we counted the cost of following Jesus? The goal is to think deeper and challenge our inner selves. Jesus said; “pick up your cross and follow me.” Not when it is convenient, not while still playing in the worldly sandbox, not while continuing to sin or looking back at our sinful past. God’s will for our lives is to be sanctified. The Bible says; we must be holy because he is holy. Our Christian faith cannot continue to conform to the patterns of this world. It has come at a price; the blood of Christ and the hands & feet, sweat and persecution of the disciples. It is not a fan club or some brand. Christians are men and women of all ethnicities who publicly follow Jesus and obey his commands. In 2019, are you ready to be bold and take a stand? Be bold and press ▶️ and join the conversation!
