Have you ever talked to someone who rejected (or doubted) the existence of God? Maybe you find yourself in such a place. What are the factors that cause folks to doubt God? And what can we say to help them in that struggle? That's our topic for this Sunday. Join us for a thought-provoking sermon.
Phillip asks how we can best share our faith. He suggests we should see people as Jesus sees them, seeing them as lost sheep in need of a shepherd. "Always be ready to make your defence to anyone who demands from you an account of the hope that is in you." And do it gently and with respect.
Jesus died, He rose again, and He did to save us
What if sharing your faith wasn't meant to feel forced? On Pentecost Sunday, we're reminded that the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary believers to live as witnesses for Jesus—not just through sermons, but through everyday life. This message explores: • What evangelism really means • Why Christians are called “living proof” • How Jesus engaged people relationally • The role of prayer and the Holy Spirit • Why your personal story matters • How to share the gospel naturally through everyday relationships The gospel spread through ordinary believers in the early church, and God still works through ordinary people today. You don't need all the answers. You simply need a life shaped by Jesus.
Your faith was never meant to be private—it was meant to be shared. Discover the mission at the heart of following Jesus and how your life can make an eternal impact when Christ is boldly proclaimed.
Jen encourages us to invite people to Alpha, and we hear from some members of our church on the awesome ways they have been sharing their faith in our community.
We must be willing to open our mouths and speak when God prompts us to because He will give us the words to say and we can trust Him to use what we say to reach the people we're talking to. God wants to speak to us and through us but we have to let Him use us the way He wants to.
Just like we can sow seed into the ground and expect it to grow what we planted, we can sow spiritual seed into the lives of others through both the Gospel and our giving. The sowing of seed is our job, but as a farmer has no control over the weather to produce the growth of the seed, it is only in God's control of how He decides to grow what has been planted.
Welcome to a new series we are hosting called Ask Anything! Join pastors Jason Fisher and Blake Williams from Heritage Church as they tackle real questions from their congregation about navigating faith in community. It's human nature to want to share something you love with the people you love and that's certainly true in our faith. In this episode Blake and Jason respond to questions having to do with evangelism (sharing our faith in Jesus with the people in our life).
**What if the greatest mission field in your life is simply the conversations you're avoiding?**In this message, Pastor Bobby Harrell continues our **Risk Theology** series by exploring the risk of sharing our faith.Jesus tells His disciples that the harvest is plentiful—but the workers are few. Yet for many believers, the biggest barrier isn't opportunity… it's fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of saying the wrong thing. Fear of not knowing enough.Through the story of the man born blind and the testimony of Lazarus, we're reminded that pointing people to Jesus doesn't require perfect theology, a ministry title, or all the answers. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can share is simply the story of what Jesus has done in your life. This message invites us to step past hesitation, trust God with the outcome, and take the simple but powerful risk of telling our story.

In this powerful message, Pastor Mike walks us through the Gospel of John 3:1–8 and the life-changing conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. BUBBA: Believe You Be Born Again Through the story of Greg "Bubba" McCall and Jesus' words in John 3:1–8, we're reminded that sharing our faith starts with understanding what it truly means to be born again. This message challenges us personally: Are you a BUBBA? And do you know someone who needs to be? Listen in and be encouraged to boldly share the hope of new life in Christ.
December 7, 2025 Romans 15:1-13 (ESV) 1 We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3 For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.” 4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. 8 For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, 9 and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.” 10 And again it says, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.” 11 And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples extol him.” 12 And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.” 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Today, we will be reflecting on Acts 4:1-31, Speaking the Word Boldly. Peter and John have been told not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. Their witness was so powerful that people believed their witness about Jesus and accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and this threatens the rulers and elders of the Jews. Peter, John, and the other apostles led many people to Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and were able to clearly and boldly share who Jesus is and show the people their need for Jesus.
Today, we will begin a two-week series on Sharing Our Faith. We will begin with reflecting on Acts 8:26-40, The Gospel. It's shortly after Pentecost and the rapid growth of the church, but it also introduces a time of persecution of those who follow Jesus as the Messiah. Philip finds himself in a town in Samaria, where the gospel news is received with joy, but the Spirit then leads him away from Samaria to a eunuch travelling back home to Ethiopia. This is a gospel encounter. A moment guided by the Holy Spirit where Philip is given the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus with this official, to help explain how the Scriptures point us to Jesus and how he has redeemed us from sin and calls us into his new life.
Send us a textLet's talk about it! A quick 15-20 minute episode to jumpstart some thoughts to consider in your day. Life is busy but we want to mindful of the reason God placed us on this earth. One of those reasons is to share our faith in Jesus. Today we want to talk about why this is hard and also identify some ways we can push back against the barriers that keep us from sharing. Is there some commonality here between us (Derek and the audience -- you!)? I hope so! But let's spur one another on and pray for one another to be bold in preaching Christ.

Send us a textActs 13 is an example of how the Apostle Paul shared the Good News of Jesus with the people in Antioch of Pisidia. This young church, in today's southern Turkey, was on Paul's first missionary journey and was likely the church to which Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians. There are four principles we can learn and apply today from this passage: 1. Tailor the message to the recipient 2. Point to God's faithfulness in our own lives3. Focus on the resurrection of Jesus by sharing the assurance of salvation4. Keep the gospel message clear and simple: Believe in Jesus for eternal life (see John 3:16; John 6:47; John 11:25-26; 1 Timothy 1:16

One of our most urgent human questions is, "What is God like?" Our answer to that question has a monumental impact on our state of mind and how we conduct our lives. This Sunday, as we continue our inductive study of the New Testament book of Colossians, we'll explore a passage that paints one of the Bible's most vivid and insightful pictures of God. Why did God call our church into existence? Aren't there already more than enough churches in the world? What is our unique vision and mission? This Sunday we'll wrap up our “Called Together” sermon series by exploring those questions – because the truth is: God has given us an AMAZING and COMPELLING mission! And we get to be part of it!

We all need to learn to share our faith and make it accessible and relatable to others
A 2021 study by Lifeway Research found that 66% of Americans are at least open to discussing the Christian faith with a friend. Forty percent said they were very open to the conversation. That compares with a third of respondents who said they were not at all open to a social media conversation about Christian ... Suppose someone were to ask you why they should believe in Jesus? What would you say? C.S. Lewis once said, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." Given how much is at stake, why should a person believe? That's the question we'll wrestle with on Sunday.
In this latest episode of the PCI podcast, Jonny McClune, PCI's Congregational Witness Development Officer, explores with Darin and Joy Stevens from the organisation Start to Stir, why sharing our faith with our friends can be so challenging. We can see examples in the Bible of people who struggled to speak up for God like Moses and Jonah but we take time to explore on the podcast the things that are holding us back today and how we can have more confidence to share Jesus with those around us. This podcast also highlights the Stirring Spiritual Curiosity event happening on the morning of Tuesday 28 January 2025 from 10.30am to 12.45pm in Assembly Buildings, Belfast, at which Darin and Joy will be opening up this theme further. Jesus constantly gave away power. Jesus modeled behavior for his disciples then sent them out. Jesus invites us to create belonging for people who do not believe. How do we do that?

Why did the duck cross the road? To get to the other side of course. But how we treat a duck crossing the road ought to convict us as to how we treat people who are in harms way because they don't know Jesus.

Have I told you this week how much my family loved Duck Dynasty? It was/is such a genius way to get people laughing while still instilling biblical truth and good old fashioned family values. The prayers around the table at the end of each show still get me. Today I have the privilege of chatting with Willie Robertson about all things Duck Dynasty, and it's far past due since I've interviewed basically everyone in his family except for him. Willie's stories are amazing, including how he tried to fire Cy, how Duck Dynasty got started, and how he got Phil signed on to the idea of reality TV. But Willie is really passionate about sharing his faith, and that's a big part of our conversation today. He talks about how his parents instilled this in his life, and how he's trying to do that for his children as well. Willie's new book Gospeler (which I mispronounced all throughout the show

It can sometimes be hard to share the gospel with a culture that seems to speak a language different from the one we speak at church. But Jesus is calling us to do exactly that. As an evangelist and church planter, Shauna Pilgreen has firsthand experience translating Jesus to a culture desperate to hear his truth. On today's episode of Unapologetic, Julianne sits down with Shauna to break it all down for us. Shauna and her husband lead Epic Church in San Francisco, one of the most secular and diverse cities in the country. Given that experience, Shauna knows exactly what it takes to translate the gospel in a way anyone can understand, whether that's to your Uber driver, the barista at your favorite coffee shop, or—sometimes most challenging of all—your own family and friends. During this candid conversation, Julianne asks Shauna to share some of the ways Christians speak our own language (that we may not even be aware of), where we can start when it comes to translating Jesus to those around us, and practical tips for overcoming awkwardness or discomfort when it comes to talking about our faith. This whole episode is filled with incredible stories from Shauna of the ways she's seen Jesus move in the lives of those you'd least expect. We're all called to share the good news of Jesus with whoever we meet—this encouraging conversation will equip you with the tools needed to do exactly that! Shauna's newest book—Translating Jesus—is available everywhere now! Connect with her on Instagram or learn more at shaunapilgreen.com.

How often have you judged someone because they looked a little different? What about the way that they talked, or something they said? What if, instead of judging someone based on your surface-level interpretation, you decided to understand them?Hospitality with your faith isn't always easy. You might even find yourself in an uncomfortable conversation or two, but it's vital to share what you believe the way that Jesus did: with the utmost love and compassion.Take some time to reflect on Pastor Fredo's words as you check out this sermon on how to share your faith at the table.Like, subscribe, and leave us a comment.Support what Sandals Church is doing at https://donate.sc or use the Sandals Church App https://sandalschurch.com/app/Do you have questions, need prayer or want to get connected?
