In February of 1865, a Doctor and Magistrate in Leeds, West Yorkshire accused his cook of stealing two pounds of dripping from him. Eliza Strafford, the cook, thought the dripping was a perk of her job. That two pounds of dripping would go on to cause a huge stir in Leeds that month.
