[Galatians 5:25-26; Mark 4:1-9] The weeds of life try to choke out the life of God. If everything is about “me”, then “we” lose. We each have a vital role to play for the Church to be healthy. [Galatians 6:1-5; Matthew 18:15-20; Matthew 5:23-24] God will always do His part; will we do our part? Let us do good to everyone not to “be good”, but because He is good [Galatians 6:6-10] “The laws of the harvest” by Charles Swindoll: We sow and reap in like kind. We reap in a different season than the one we sow in. We reap more than we sow. We must let go of past harvests and focus on sowing for the future today. Next Step Questions: Have you received Jesus' gift of life and the “good” He offers you? Are you playing the role God asks you to play in the Church? Are you “doing good” and investing in the things of eternal impact?

[Galatians 5:13-18] Christians stay in step with the Spirit and walk through the “war”. We are not free to sin; we are freed from sin. [Galatians 5:19-21; 1 John 1:9] What you choose to feed or starve will win. Bringing our junk into the light leads to God making it right. Staying in step with the Spirit leads to bearing fruit naturally. [Galatians 5:22-26; John 15:5] Belonging and abiding keep us in step with the Spirit. Next Step Questions: 1. Has Jesus set you free? 2. Are you staying in step with the Spirit? 3. Will you follow the Spirit this week and bear fruit for His glory?
“Messy, Beautiful, and Free” Motherhood can feel like a mess—emotional, chaotic, uncertain—but what if it's also exactly where God wants to show up and bring freedom? In this week's episode of the Pathway Podcast, Pastor Nate sits down with Dayna and Cristina—two moms on our Pathway staff—to talk about the real, raw, and rewarding side of parenting. Stand Firm in Freedom (Galatians 5:1) • Moms (and all of us) need to hear this: you are not loved because of your performance. You're loved because Christ has already secured your worth. 2. Love Over Law (Galatians 5:2–6) • Encourage moms today: Your quiet acts of service are seen by God. 3. Beware of the Leaven (Galatians 5:7–9) • Paul says: Don't let that stuff grow. It spoils freedom. 4. Serve One Another in Love (Galatians 5:13–14) • This is Jesus-shaped love—the love that lays down its rights for the good of others. 5. Avoiding the Bite (Galatians 5:15) "But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another." (Galatians 5:15) • Love guards the mouth. Selfishness weaponizes it. • You can't avoid the bite by trying harder-you must walk by the Spirit. Next Step Questions: 1.) Do you need to experience freedom in Christ today? 2.) What do you need to do today to avoid the bite?

[Galatians 3:25-29; John 3:1-6] Our born identity is the redeemed and freed who live as sons and heirs. [Galatians 4:1-7] We grow in intimacy with the Father over time by spending intentional time. Our born identity is shaped by knowing God and being known by God. [Galatians 4:8-11; 1 John 2:16; Colossians 2:16-17] We tend to turn back to lesser “gods”: Desires of the flesh. Desires of the eyes. Pride of life. We need to regularly turn back to God and our born identity. Next Step Questions: Are you born again and living in your born identity? Have you been baptized? www.pathwayvb.com/baptism What are you turning back to instead of turning to God and His best for your life?
Feel like God's given you a gift—but you're not sure what to do with it? You're not alone. In this powerful episode, Pastor Brian sits down with author and ministry leader Dr. Kiersten Telzerow to talk about her new book Rise: Your Gift Will Make Room. With warmth and honesty, Kiersten shares how her childhood dream to serve at National Community Church became a reality—and the long, hard road she took to write the book she knew God was calling her to write. Whether you've buried your gift out of fear or felt stuck waiting for the “perfect time,” Kiersten's story will remind you that God has already made room—you just have to say yes. You'll also hear about the power of prayer, the importance of making room for God's voice, and how to trust the Holy Spirit's lead, even when it's uncomfortable. [John 20:1-8] We often choose the robber instead of the grave robber. [John 18:40; John 10:7-10] We will always be “thirsty” apart from Jesus' living water. [John 19:28-29; Psalm 22:15-16] “It is finished” means we live not to do, but because it is done.[John 19:30; Colossians 2:12-15] What work did Jesus finish and fulfill? Jesus fulfilled the law, the prophets, and His mission. “Tetelestai” (“it is finished) is defined as: to bring to an end, to complete, to accomplish. Note: The Greek perfect tense means it is complete in the past, but its results continue in the present. Next Step Questions: 1. Will you receive Jesus' finished work for you today? 2. Will you share what you have decided?www.pathwayvb.com/decided

In this moving “God at Work” episode, Pastor Brian sits down with Brittney Yanoviak to share a powerful story of faith, heartbreak, and hope. When Brittney and her family stepped up to help a child through Safe Families, they had no idea how deeply it would change their lives—and the lives of the children involved. Through a series of God-orchestrated connections between Pathway's food pantry, The Buggy Bunch, and Safe Families, a hurting family found community, support, and the love of Jesus. [Galatians 3:15-18; Genesis 15:1-6; Genesis 22:7-8] Faith overcomes fear. God provides for His promises. Faith in Christ sets us free. [Galatians 3:19-24; Romans 3:19-22] The law is meant to: Create order out of chaos. Expose our sin. Reveal our need for Christ. Christ is the conductor of the “grace train” and says, “All aboard” God promised identity, belonging, and inheritance. [Galatians 3:25-29] Faith in Christ sets us free to experience God's promises. [Galatians 3:1-6; Philippians 1:6; Acts 14:21-22] To be “blessed” is to receive His greater life. [Galatians 3:7-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21] Living by faith in Christ opens the door to His blessings and best. [Galatians 3:10-14; James 2:10; Luke 18:19] Next Step Questions: 1. Certainly not! 18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. 19 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. - Galatians 2:15-21 Next Step Questions: Are you trying to earn God's favor, and how can you rely more on faith in Jesus for justification? What steps will you take this week to deny yourself and let Christ completely rule your life? How will you show Christ's grace and love in your community? How will you love your plus one this week? Will you live out Organic Outreach?

[Galatians 2:1-10; Acts 11:29-30; Acts 15:1-2] When we lose sight of the main thing, we lose much more than perspective. Love levels the playing field to make sure everyone experiences the freedom Jesus offers. [Galatians 2:11-14; Matthew 7:1-6; Mark 2:1-11] Judgmental attitudes tear down people and build walls that protect religion but prevent relationships with Jesus. We are to address hypocrisy not to tear down the person but to remove the barriers to Jesus. Next Step Questions: 1. Are there any things that you have added to the Gospel that you need to let go of? 2. Are there any judgmental attitudes that you need to release? 3. What barriers do we need to remove to help others come to experience Jesus?

Our story into “His story and His glory”. Three simple steps to share your “Jesus' story”: [Galatians 1:15-24; Acts 9:1-6; Romans 1:16-17] Share: “This is what “This is what my life was like before Jesus.” Share: “This is how I met Jesus.” Share: “This is how my life has been impacted since.” Next Step Questions: What are you celebrating about Jesus' impact at Pathway this year? [Galatians 1:6-7; 10] The Gospel is the way to life and a way of life Approval issues rob me of my freedom. [Galatians 1:10; 5:1; Philippians 4:11-13] Jesus sets me free to experience my real: identity, belonging, and purpose. [1 John 3:1; Matthew 11:28-30; Hebrews 12:1-2] When we lay it down and let it go, we trade in being liked for being loved. Next Step Questions: Are approval issues robbing you of the freedom the Gospel gives us? Will you release it all to Jesus today and embrace His freedom? Will you “lay it down and let go” today and receive His love for you?

[2 Timothy 2:1-2, NIV; Psalm 78:5-7] The four generations: Generation 1- “Paul”: we need a spiritual mentor. Generation 2- “Timothy”: we are responsible for our spiritual growth. Generation 3- “Reliable People”: We are called to invest in the journeys of others. Generation 4- “Those they teach”: We are called to invest in others who follow Jesus. 3. What is the relationship between discipleship and evangelism? [Matthew 28:19-20] The Relationship of Discipleship and Evangelism Evangelism and discipleship are not enemies. Evangelism and discipleship are not just friends. Evangelism and discipleship are marriage partners. Next Step Questions: Have you received Jesus? [Luke 2:1-5; John 1:9; 14 (Msg)] When we trust and obey, we “make room” for God's plans. God uses humble people, spaces, and places that “make room” for His glory. [Luke 2:13-20; Romans 10:8-15] Next Step Questions: Will you “make room” for Him to be made known to you? Will you “make room” to make him known to others?
