Your abundance isn't something that can be taken away. It's a part of you. We've all heard the phrase “money can't buy happiness.” And while those of us at TBM know it's true, we're also aware of the world we live in, one where money is needed to meet our basic needs and help us enjoy material comforts. There is a simple, uniting truth we're here to share with you: You cannot manifest true abundance (spiritual OR material) without a foundation of authenticity. Until you investigate the narratives you've been holding onto and heal those subconscious wounds, you'll always seek corrective, surface-level experiences rather than the answers to your authentic wants and needs. This episode explores five unique levels (outlined in our Money Quiz linked below) that serve as our starting point going into our new Money Challenge. If you've ever felt stuck in striving, uncertain about your next step, or quietly questioning if the life you've built reflects your truth—this is your call to return home to yourself. Our powerful 3-week challenge will guide you through the energetic terrain of wealth consciousness and reaffirm the truth: that money is never just about money—it's about healing, self-worth, and authenticity. Your financial story is your own. Your magic is right in front of you. Your abundance starts within.**Please note that our conversation in this episode is not intended as direct financial advice. As a child, watching her father endure mistreatment in a hospital emergency room ignited Rosemary's passion for compassionate care and set her on the path to becoming a physician. Her journey, however, wasn't straightforward. As a first-generation college student, Rosemary faced the dual challenges of academic setbacks and adapting to college life. Yet, these hurdles only reinforced her resolve, highlighting the importance of resilience and support systems in pursuing dreams in the medical field.Rosemary's story is one of embracing unconventional paths and finding strength in persistence. Her determination led her to contact nearly a hundred labs in search of research opportunities—a testament to her tenacity and the notion that success often requires forging one's own path. Rosemary's experience underscores the value of being open to non-linear routes and the powerful impact of seeking out unique opportunities. Our conversation with Rosemary also touches on the transformative decision to join a combined master's and MD program in Michigan. With the courage to seize unexpected opportunities, she balanced MCAT prep with a full-time job, ultimately making a brave move across the country. Through fostering connections in her program and becoming a trailblazer in her family, Rosemary emerges as a role model for aspiring medical students. Welcome to “Pathway to Priesthood”—a special podcast series from the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States. In these conversations, host Eric Clayton talks with Jesuits who are in the final days of preparing for ordination to the priesthood. They reflect back on their vocation stories and experience of Jesuit formation, and wrestle with some of the biggest questions surrounding priestly ordination. On this episode, Eric talks with Fernando Saldivar. Fernando reflects on what it has been like to enter the Society of Jesus after a long career as a lawyer — he's a so-called “late” vocation — and also what he believes the world needs from a priest today. Fernando is from California. He first met the Jesuits as an undergraduate student at Georgetown University. After earning his law degree from Southwestern University in 2005, he practiced law up until 2016 when he entered the Society of Jesus. One of the highlights of his Jesuit formation, as you'll soon hear, was when he was missioned to Nairobi to serve as the global policy and advocacy officer for the Jesuit Justice and Ecology Network Africa. As you listen to Fernando's stories and reflections, consider whether you or someone you know might be interested in discerning a call to Jesuit life. If so, head over to beajesuit.org.

In this episode, Steve Fretzin and Cecilia Poullain discuss:The intersection of personal transformation and professional identityNavigating and overcoming fear through self-expressionThe power of storytelling in reclaiming one's voiceShifting from traditional career paths to more authentic, purpose-driven lives Key Takeaways:To overcome fear of public speaking or visibility, engage in practices like vocal training or performance-based activities that reconnect you with your physical voice and sense of self-expression.Before pursuing a major career opportunity, reflect deeply on whether the role aligns with your true values and identity, rather than simply accepting it based on prestige or external validation.Avoid falling into perfectionism by giving yourself permission to make mistakes, take small experimental steps, and speak up even when your contribution feels imperfect or incomplete.Create intentional professional communities where you can actively contribute, connect with aligned individuals, and develop visibility, rather than waiting passively for recognition or advancement. With one small, clever—and now-trademark—idea in 1990, the chef Thomas Keller turned not only the notion of the ice-cream cone on its head, but the fine-dining world, too. Now, 35 years later, his hospitality group comprises 10 restaurants, including The French Laundry in Yountville, California, and Per Se in New York City—both of them three-Michelin-starred—as well as Bouchon Bistro and Bouchon Bakery in Las Vegas and The Surf Club Restaurant in Miami. Across his entire hospitality operation, a highly refined, expertly tuned set of standards feeds his “one-guest-at-a-time” philosophy and culture. In many respects, Keller was at the forefront of a local-focused cooking movement. He was also a pioneer in making fine dining more relaxed and approachable—and decidedly less fussy. The food world today would not be the same were it not for his wide-spanning influence. On the episode, Keller reflects on how it took two decades of failing and learning from mistakes before at last, in 1994, he opened The French Laundry, which instantly received rave reviews and remains one of the most celebrated restaurants in the world. He also discusses his recent Chef's Table episode on Netflix and his cameo on the FX show The Bear, memory-making as a key part of his operation, and why persistence is the greatest form of pleasure.Special thanks to our Season 11 presenting sponsor, Van Cleef & Arpels.Show notes:Thomas Keller[4:57] “Chef's Table: Legends” (2025)[4:57] The French Laundry[4:57] Per Se[7:24] Grant Achatz[7:24] Bobby Flay[7:24] Tom Colicchio[7:24] Emeril Lagasse[7:24] Le Pavillon[10:13] “The Bear”: Season 3, Episode 10 (2024)[10:13] Christopher Storer[10:13] “Sense of Urgency” (2013)[10:13] Hans Zimmer[10:13] Bouchon Bistro[10:13] “Thomas Keller's Roasted Chicken” (2020)[17:26] “Chef Thomas Keller on Finding Professional Success After 40” (2022)[23:55] “The French Laundry Cookbook” (1999)[25:57] Daniel Boulud[28:24] Graham Kerr[28:24] “The Galloping Gourmet” (1968)[32:27] Roland Henin[33:47] Florence Fabricant[33:47] “Food; Flights of Fancy” (1988)[33:47] “Checkers Has Lost Its Chef” (1992)[38:08] “Sally Schmitt, Trend-Setting Restaurateur, Is Dead at 90”[40:12] The French Laundry Kitchen[40:12] Snøhetta[40:12] “Thomas Keller, an Exacting Chef at a Crossroads”[48:47] “The Reach of a Restaurant” TED Talk[48:47] “The French Laundry, Per Se” (2020)

But this isn't just about special forces. It's a conversation about how CEOs and senior leaders can rewire how they think about pressure, performance, and leadership itself.Rich introduces powerful concepts, including the brain's need for Duration, Pathway, and Outcome (DPO) to maintain composure in chaos. These lessons are deeply human and directly applicable to organizational leadership. This episode goes beyond resilience into practical training for leaders who want to move through uncertainty with clarity and help their teams do the same. Whether you're leading a fast-scaling business, a mission-driven nonprofit, or a complex enterprise under stress, this conversation offers actionable perspective and tools for performing when nothing goes as planned.Actionable TakeawaysHear how Rich Diviney defines mastery of uncertainty—and why it starts with managing your own physiological stress response.Learn how elite performers prepare for unpredictable environments and why your team can develop that same capability.Discover why the brain's search for Duration, Pathway, and Outcome is the key to clarity in moments of stress.Explore the concept of dynamic subordination and how the best teams allow leadership to shift based on proximity to the problem.Understand the limits of traditional planning—and why too much planning can become a form of leadership paralysis.Gain perspective on why attempts to control more tightly often erode trust, especially in high-stakes or ambiguous situations.Examine how the identities leaders carry—consciously or not—shape how they respond under pressure.Learn why building trust requires more than competence and consistency—and how character and compassion complete the equation.Find out how focusing your team on smaller, achievable horizons (instead of long-range uncertainty) improves decision-making and morale.Get practical strategies for applying these tools immediately—both in your own leadership and across your team.Connect with Rich DivineyThe Attributes Website Rich Diviney LinkedIn Connect with Mahan Tavakoli: Mahan Tavakoli Website Mahan Tavakoli on LinkedIn Partnering Leadership Website

Welcome to Sales & Cigars, the sales podcast, where the only smoke we blow is from cigars. In this episode, host Walter Crosby is joined by marketing professiona James Hipkin to discuss common marketing mistakes business owners make and how to better align marketing strategies with customer needs. To begin, James emphasizes that a company's greatest growthengine is its current customer base. By understanding and nurturing relationships with existingcustomers, businesses can drive referrals and scale more effectively. Marketing should startwith a deep understanding of these best customers and aim to attract more like them. Jamesalso notes that great marketing cannot create demand where none exists; rather, it should meetcustomers where they are and speak to their desires and fears. James critiques the common practice of relying on superficial marketing tactics, like simply having a website or shouting “calls to action,” which often reflects an "inside-out" approach. Instead, he suggests a shift to an "outside-in" mindset that invites prospects into “people like you pathways,” allowing customers to self-identify and choose their journey. To help smaller businesses apply these principles without the massive budgets of large brands, James developed a cost-effective process using structured interviews with ideal customers and AI toolsto generate detailed customer avatars and buyer journey maps. This method enables tailoredmessaging that resonates deeply, improves sales scripts, and fosters collaboration betweenmarketing and sales for more powerful, aligned strategies. Effective marketing strategy helpspre-qualify prospects so that sales conversations become more natural and effective. This is made possible by understanding the customer deeply through tools like avatars and buyerjourney maps, allowing for the right message to reach the right person at the right time. Whendone correctly, customers feel understood and develop trust through each stage of the process. However, James warns that even well-designed marketing can be undermined by poor sales execution, which ultimately disrupts the buyer's experience and can drive them away. James also shares insights from his extensive experience working with companies to improve loyalty and customer retention. A flawed sales process, he notes, is often the root cause of loyalty problems. He stresses the importance of a buyer-first, outside-in sales approach that walks alongside the customer rather than leading or dragging them. Listening, asking thoughtful questions, and embracing silence are crucial skills for salespeople to truly understand and help their prospects. James's toolset, Marketing Sage Advantage, is designed to help businesses gain clarity on their ideal customers, messaging strategy, and measurement. He frames marketing as a three-legged stool—audience, value, and measurement—and underlines that success comes from aligning all three. Key Points: •Biggest problem with Marketing is a lack of strategy •Primary purpose of website isn't conversion •MarketingSageadvantage.com tool set •Audience, value you bring, measurement •Listening to conversations Find more episodes of Sales & Cigars here. This episode features Marc-André Veselovsky. He and Eric talk about community life and the various ways in which a Jesuit is accompanied throughout formation and beyond. Marc-André was born and raised in Ottawa. As you'll hear, he first felt the call to priesthood through his involvement with Catholic Christian Outreach, a Canadian university movement that encourages evangelization and living a personal relationship with God. It was the Jesuits' radical availability for mission, though, that inspired Marc-André to enter the Society of Jesus. And his formation experience has seen him sent on mission around the world! As you listen to Marc-André's stories and reflections, consider whether you or someone you know might be interested in discerning a call to Jesuit life. If so, head over to beajesuit.org.

It's the Hilula—the joyous “wedding day”—of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the mystic who gave us the Zohar and opened the gates of Jewish spiritual consciousness.
