In this episode of House of Learning: Understanding the Doctrine of the Temple, Meghan Farner and Cory Jensen explore what “saving ordinances” truly mean — and challenge the common assumption that symbolic rituals are salvific in and of themselves. This lesson reframes temple ordinances not as spiritual hall passes or automatic guarantees of salvation, but as symbolic invitations into real spiritual transformation, covenant relationship, and lived discipleship through the grace of Jesus Christ.Using a well-known quote from Brigham Young as a starting point, the discussion unpacks why memorizing signs, tokens, or participating in ceremonies alone cannot save a person — and how those symbols instead point toward deeper spiritual realities that must be experienced, embodied, and received through grace. You'll learn:✨ Why ordinances are a means, not an end✨ How symbols represent real spiritual experiences and gifts of grace✨ The danger of reducing temple worship to performance or compliance✨ Why God is interested in who we are becoming, not just what we are doing✨ How ancient Israel struggled with the same misunderstanding✨ How the Book of Mormon functions as a temple text✨ What it means to “see beyond the symbol” into spiritual realityThis episode invites viewers to move beyond surface-level religious participation into conscious spiritual growth, discernment, and personal transformation in Christ. If you've ever wondered whether ordinances alone can save you, how grace actually works, or how temple symbolism connects to lived spiritual experience, this lesson provides clarity and depth.

In this final episode of the Progesterone Promise series, Dr. Brendan McCarthy, Chief Medical Officer of Protea Medical Center, breaks down one of the most misunderstood hormones in women's health: progesterone. Progesterone is not “good” or “bad.” It's contextual. In today's world of quick sound bites and social media medicine, hormones are often reduced to oversimplified claims like “progesterone fixes anxiety” or “progesterone causes breast cancer.” The truth? It depends on your body, your stress levels, your liver health, your inflammation, your delivery method, and whether you're using bioidentical progesterone or synthetic progestins. Citations: 1. Oral Progesterone → First-Pass Metabolism & Allopregnanolone Claim: Oral micronized progesterone undergoes significant hepatic first-pass metabolism, increasing neuroactive metabolites (especially allopregnanolone), which positively modulate GABA-A receptors and produce sedative/anxiolytic effects. Supports: Sedation variability by route • Neurosteroid generation • GABA-A modulation 2. Sulfation vs 5α-Reduction → Opposing Neurologic Effects Claim: Progesterone metabolites can produce calming (5α-reduced) or excitatory (sulfated) neurologic effects depending on enzyme routing. Core Evidence: Majewska et al., 1990 — Pregnenolone sulfate negatively modulates GABA-A. Wu et al., 1991 — Sulfated neurosteroids enhance NMDA signaling. Schumacher et al., 2007; Reddy, 2010 — Pathway reviews of sulfation vs 5α-reduction. Supports: Reverse responding hypothesis • Divergent neurologic experiences • Enzyme-dependent effects 3. Stress & Enzyme Modulation Claim: Chronic stress alters HPA axis tone and hepatic enzyme expression, influencing steroid metabolism balance. Core Evidence: McEwen, 1998 — Allostatic load model. Charmandari et al., 2005 — Cortisol's systemic regulatory effects. Zanger & Schwab, 2013; Gibson & Skett, 2001 — Stress alters cytochrome P450 expression. Supports: Stress-biased metabolism • Context-dependent hormone response 4. Breast Tissue Signaling & Context Claim: Progesterone influences mammary differentiation and interacts with estrogen signaling in context-dependent ways. Core Evidence: Brisken & O'Malley, 2010 — Progesterone receptor biology in breast tissue. Beleut et al., 2010 — RANKL mediates progesterone-driven proliferation. Hofseth et al., 1999 — PR-ER signaling interaction. Stanczyk & Bhavnani, 2014 — Natural vs synthetic differences in breast effects. Supports: Lobuloalveolar differentiation • RANKL pathway • Context-dependent proliferation 5. Synthetic Progestins vs Bioidentical Progesterone Claim: Synthetic progestins differ structurally and bind off-target receptors, producing distinct tissue effects. Core Evidence: Stanczyk et al., 2013 — Receptor binding differences. Sitruk-Ware, 2004 — Biologic comparisons. Chlebowski et al., 2003 (WHI) — Breast cancer signal with CEE + MPA. Supports: Structural divergence • Receptor-level differences • WHI clarification 6. Route of Delivery Differences Claim: Oral, vaginal, transdermal, and sublingual progesterone produce distinct pharmacokinetic profiles and tissue targeting. Core Evidence: Simon, 1995 — Oral vs vaginal PK comparison. Cicinelli et al., 2000 — “First uterine pass effect.” Wren et al., 2003 — Route-dependent systemic levels. Supports: Uterine targeting • Neurosteroid variability • Sedation differences 7. Progesterone, PMS & Migraine Claim: Neurosteroid fluctuations influence GABAergic tone and may contribute to PMS and migraine susceptibility. Core Evidence: Backstrom et al., 2011 — Allopregnanolone fluctuations in PMS. Reddy & Rogawski, 2002 — Neurosteroids and seizure threshold. Martin & Behbehani, 2001 — Hormonal fluctuations and migraine. Supports: Luteal neurosteroid shifts • GABA instability • Migraine association Dr. Brendan McCarthy is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Protea Medical Center in Arizona. With over two decades of experience, he's helped thousands of patients navigate hormonal imbalances using bioidentical HRT, nutrition, and root-cause medicine. He's also taught and mentored other physicians on integrative approaches to hormone therapy, weight loss, fertility, and more. In this expansive episode of Hidden Wisdom, Meghan Farner is joined by theologian and author Michelle Wiener to explore the hidden feminine thread within the Abrahamic tradition.Drawing from Michelle's book Return to Mamre: Recovering the Melchizedek Mysteries Beneath the Sacred Groves, this conversation reframes Abraham and Sarah not merely as patriarch and matriarch, but as participants in a sacred matrimonial priesthood order — a divine pairing of priest and priestess rooted in ancient sacred groves, temple imagery, and cosmic symbolism.Together, they explore:Sarah as possible high priestessThe Mamre Order as a template for Melchizedek priesthoodHenotheism vs. monotheism and the divine councilThe role of Heavenly Mother in healing Abrahamic divisionAstrology, archetypes, and the constellations as priesthood patternsThe mother/daughter (virgin/“harlot”) archetype in scriptureThe sacred feminine as key to reconciliation among Judaism, Christianity, and IslamThis episode invites listeners into deeper discernment, symbolic literacy, and spiritual maturity — reclaiming a balanced priesthood of partnership rather than hierarchy. If you've ever wondered whether the sacred feminine was truly erased from scripture — and how to recover her — this conversation will expand your lens.00:00 Introduction + Michelle's academic background04:00 Southern Baptist roots & fear-based theology08:40 Discovering the mystical & divine feminine15:30 Introducing Return to Mamre16:20 Abraham & Sarah's journey to Mamre20:00 Was Sarah initiated alongside Abraham?23:00 Sacred groves, Asherah, and priestesshood29:00 Bread, libations, and feminine temple ritual34:00 Monotheism, henotheism, and the divine council38:30 The “Most High God and Goddess”45:00 Avoiding goddess conflation & discernment50:15 Astrology, archetypes, and the Maseroth55:30 The maiden–mother–crone pattern in the stars1:02:00 Sarah & Hagar: mother/daughter archetypes1:07:00 Solar vs lunar symbolism & degrees of glory1:10:00 Healing Abrahamic division through the feminine1:11:30 Final reflections on sacred partnershipJoin the Contemplative Prayer + Meditation Q&A with Meghan and Phil McLemore, on February 16th at 7pm MT. We live in a world that celebrates visibility, scale, and success—yet Jesus tells a story in Matthew 25 that reframes what actually matters. The Master doesn't commend influence or outcomes; He says, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Each servant receives a different entrustment, but the call is the same: steward what you've been given. Faithfulness means resisting comparison, surrendering entitlement at the cross, and trusting that what God places in your hands today is neither random nor small. Faithfulness also unfolds over time. There are seasons of waiting that shape our trust, moments when doubt whispers and fear urges us to play it safe. But the gospel anchors us: the same Christ who entrusted you with your assignment has proven His character at the cross. So we refuse to bury what He's given. We offer it back—our time, gifts, influence, resources—and trust Him to multiply it for His purposes. And in the end, the reward is not status but relationship: sharing in the joy of the Master, right here and ultimately forever.

Are motorhome shows still worth it in 2026, or are digital platforms quietly taking over? In this episode of the Motorhome Matt podcast, Matt and Keith dig into the real value of motorhome shows, from the Manchester Show to the NEC Motorhome Shows to regional events across the UK. Do shows still drive motorhome sales, build brand trust and help buyers choose the right layout, or are they becoming an expensive tradition in a world of online research and targeted ads? Matt speaks to dealers who say shows generate a third of their annual business, others who've stepped back and invested in digital marketing instead, and buyers who went along for a browse and ended up signing on the dotted line. We look at the buying journey, pre-purchase reassurance, and if physically stepping inside a van still matters when you're spending serious money. At the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC Birmingham, we exclusively reveal the launch of the new Savvy Van app, offering remote monitoring and control of key motorhome systems, with public release planned for summer 2026. And in the Q&A, Matt answers your questions on: 4G connectivity challenges and whether the Pathway system can pull a signal where phones can't The most useful motorhome apps for beginners The latest update on the 3.5 tonne licence limit and the expected 4th Directive changes If you're researching your first motorhome, planning an upgrade, or wondering if shows are still worth your time, this episode will give you plenty to think about. ✅ MOTORHOME MATT APPROVED Services, products and educational resources used and approved by Motorhome Matt mhmp.info/approved
In this special bonus episode of Hidden Wisdom, Meghan and McKay Farner share the talks they delivered in sacrament meeting on the greatest commandment: to "love thy neighbor as thyself." Meghan explores the often-overlooked doctrine of self-love through the lens of agape—the unconditional love that God is. She unpacks false beliefs (“unbelief”) that keep us stuck in shame and natural-man identity, reframing repentance as healing rather than punishment. Drawing from Mosiah 3:19, Doctrine & Covenants 93, Moroni 7, and the teachings of President David O. McKay, she invites listeners to see themselves as the “pearl of great price”—already worthy of divine love.McKay then shares a powerful mission story that forever changed his understanding of loving your neighbor. Through personal experience—including stepping away from church activity—he reflects on charity without ulterior motive and what it truly means to love as Christ loves.Together, these talks offer a message of hope, grace, and spiritual maturity:You cannot hate yourself into holiness. You cannot give a gift you have not received. And love is not kindness with a destination attached.00:00 Introduction & purpose of the message00:33 The Great Commandment (Matthew 22)01:19 Agape: the unconditional love God is02:35 False beliefs (“unbelief”) about self-love04:24 Natural man vs. true eternal identity07:23 Repentance as healing, not punishment09:26 Shame, fear, and perfect love10:16 Rest, worthiness, and grace11:50 Meditation as communion with God12:42 The pearl of great price13:52 McKay's mission story begins15:47 What love is not17:13 “Love is not kindness with a destination attached”20:10 Charity defined (Moroni 7)22:27 Princess & sacrificial love23:40 “Greater love hath no man…”24:16 Stepping away from church activity24:48 “It's what Jesus would do.”25:02 Final testimony & invitation Join the Contemplative Prayer + Meditation Q&A with Meghan and Phil McLemore, on February 16th at 7pm MT. In this episode of House of Learning: Understanding the Doctrine of the Temple, Meghan Farner and Cory Jensen explore what ordinances truly are, why they matter spiritually, and how they function as the bridge between human effort and the saving power of Jesus Christ's Atonement. This lesson introduces a transformational framework for understanding ordinances as having three essential components: a physical action, a symbolic spiritual teaching, and a real spiritual manifestation or gift of grace. Using baptism as a primary example, the discussion reveals how ordinances are not merely symbolic rituals, but divinely designed pathways for spiritual rebirth, covenant relationship, and inner transformation. You'll learn:✨ Why ordinances are the means by which we access the power of Christ's Atonement ✨ The three essential components of every saving ordinance ✨ How baptism teaches death, rebirth, surrender, and resurrection ✨ What baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost truly represents ✨ Why ordinances are incomplete without spiritual manifestation ✨ How temple ordinances mirror these same spiritual patterns ✨ The meaning of signs, tokens, and covenant exchangeThis episode invites viewers to move beyond automatic or surface-level participation in ordinances and toward lived spiritual experience, discernment, and conscious covenant relationship. If you've ever wondered why ordinances matter, how they actually change us, or how temple rituals connect to real spiritual growth, this lesson provides essential clarity and spiritual depth.

There's strong demand for Angus genetics, and the American Angus Association Board of Directors met this week in Saint Joseph, Mo., to discuss ways to keep providing its members with the tools and services to help keep them in the lead. Some of the topics covered in the quarterly meeting include: The Commercial Pathway, a new communication effort to help explain how the breed's industry-facing genetic tools work together for commercial producers. Member feedback on everything from the request for a gestation-length expected progeny difference (EPD) to the decoupling of breed registration from EPDs. The Data Driven Herd Recognition Program and data submission overall. Storage of tissue samples and a looming challenge for archival. Research updates, such as $B validation work, cow efficiency and bovine congestive heart failure (BCHF) studies. International production of Certified Angus Beef ® to increase market access. January Angus Foundation events and fundraising success. The role of the Angus Journal ® as a membership communication tool. The in-depth discussion gives you a snippet of the conversations and a preview of the work being done in at the Association office on behalf of Angus breeders across the country. HOSTS: Miranda Reiman and Mark McCully GUESTS: Darrell Stevenson, vice president and vice chairman of the American Angus Association Board and native of White Sulphur Springs, Mont., holds strong ties to the Angus breed and a history of activity in the Montana Angus Association. In 2019 Stevenson and his wife, Sara, expanded from Hobson onto a new unit in White Sulphur Springs to establish a later-calving herd operating as Stevenson Down T. Although separated by a mountain range, Darrell continues to breed and market genetics with Stevenson Angus Ranch. Art Butler is the third generation to raise registered Angus cattle at Spring Cove Ranch in Bliss, Idaho. Spring Cove Ranch was settled in 1912 by his grandfather A.H. Butler, who chose to make his desert homestead around a natural spring in northwestern Gooding County, purchasing their first Angus cattle in 1919. After college graduation in 1978, Art returned to Spring Cove Ranch to continue the family tradition of raising Angus cows and kids. He and his wife, Stacy; son, Josh; and daughter, Sarah, manage the 350-head cow herd, producing all-purpose Angus cattle that will perform under the variety of range conditions of the West. Henry Smith is a fourth-generation Angus breeder who grew up on a diversified family farming operation in south-central Kentucky. The farming operation consisted of a registered Angus herd, burley tobacco, corn, soybeans, wheat for feed and cash market. The Smith family settled and began farming in the Fonthill community in 1810. Smith's great-grandfather and his sons began the registered Angus seedstock operation in 1940, and it continues today with Smith raising the fifth generation invested in the Angus industry. For 33 years, he has successfully operated Smithland Angus Farm with his late father, Charles “Bud” Smith. Smith married his wife, Melissa, in 1997. They have two children, Bryanna and Blane.RELATED READINGPresident's LetterDon't miss news in the Angus breed. ParentingAces - The Junior Tennis and College Tennis Podcast
Welcome to Season 15 Episode 6 of the ParentingAces Podcast! This week's guest, Reese Brantmeier, is one I've wanted to have on the pod for a few years, ever since watching her play at National Hardcourts in San Diego for the first time. I'm thrilled to get her on to discuss her unique junior development pathway to being a top junior player and the current NCAA Women's Singles Champion.Reese grew up in an area of the US known more for ice hockey than tennis. When she fell in love with our sport, her family knew they were going to have to think outside the box to help Reese reach her full potential. USTA soon recognized Reese's affinity and talent for tennis and supported her need for instruction and competition through trips to the National Campus for camps and training.Fast forward several years to Reese's outstanding college tennis career at the University of North Carolina, well-known for producing several top professional players. Side-lined by injury and multiple surgeries, Reese was determined to make her final year of college a great one, both on and off the court. As you will hear, she has worked hard in the classroom (education is very important in the Brantmeier household!) and on the tennis court and hopes to help her team win one more national championship in May!You can follow Reese on Instagram at https://instagram.com/rs.brntmr. You can learn more about her non-profit organization to bring tennis to more kids in her hometown of Whitewater, Wisconsin, at https://www.reesebrantmeierproject.com/.As always, I am available for one-to-one consults to work with you as you find your way through junior tennis and the college recruiting process. In this expansive episode of Hidden Wisdom, Meghan Farner is joined by returning guest Phil McLemore for a deep, practical teaching on meditation as the highest form of prayer. Phil presents meditation as an ancient practice of awareness, union with God, and transformation.Together, they explore the difference between mindfulness and transcendental (yoga) meditation, why stillness is essential for spiritual perception, and how meditation aligns with Jesus' own teachings on prayer, the inner kingdom, and becoming “one” with God. Phil offers step-by-step guidance on posture, breath, mantra, handling distractions, and receiving meditation as a feminine, receptive flow of grace rather than a forced effort. This episode also addresses common fears around meditation, ego resistance, spiritual ego, emotional release, and discernment—grounding the practice firmly in Christ-centered theology, embodiment, and character transformation. Most people assume purpose is something you must invent or achieve, but Scripture tells a different story. God didn't just save you from something—He saved you for something. In a world contested by good and evil, every life is shaping the future of something larger than itself. Grace pulls us out of death, but it also places us into God's unfolding plan to heal what's broken. Ephesians declares that we are God's workmanship—His work of art—formed by grace and shaped through surrender. Like a master sculptor, God chips away through trials, obedience, and service, revealing the image of Christ within us. Good works don't earn heaven; they bring heaven to earth. As we commit to gathering regularly, joining the team, and stewarding what we've been given, we begin walking in the purpose God prepared long before we ever knew His name.

In this episode of House of Learning: Understanding the Doctrine of the Temple, Meghan Farner and Cory Jensen explore ancient covenant ceremonies and what covenants truly meant in biblical and Israelite culture — far beyond the modern idea of a simple two-way promise.Using the story of David and Jonathan as a primary archetype, this lesson reveals how ancient covenants involved the merging of identity, shared inheritance, protection, loyalty, sacrifice, and sacred relationship. These covenant patterns illuminate how God relates to humanity and what it means to enter a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ. You'll learn:✨ Why ancient covenants were relational, not contractual ✨ How covenant ceremonies symbolized shared identity, strength, and inheritance ✨ The spiritual meaning of robes, weapons, and sacred exchanges ✨ How covenant blood symbolism points to Christ's atonement ✨ Why God identifies Himself as One who keeps covenant and shows mercy ✨ How covenant blessings extend across generations ✨ What covenant faithfulness, justice, and mercy look like in real lifeThis episode also explores the story of the Gibeonites, the seriousness of covenant obligations, and how God honors covenant relationships even across centuries. Viewers are invited to reconsider temple covenants as sacred relationships of transformation rather than mere ritual compliance. If you've ever wondered what temple covenants truly mean, how God relates to covenant partners, or how ancient practices illuminate modern worship, this lesson provides essential spiritual foundations.

Manifestation in Chaos: Stability, Kindness, and the Year of the Fire Horse Learn how to use Reiki for manifestation during times of collective chaos. In this session, we explore the powerful energetic shift from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Fire Horse and how to maintain internal stability when the world feels wobbly. We discuss the "Tree of Life" energy, the science of kindness, and how to lift your frequency above collective disturbances (egregores) to reclaim your creativity and joy. Navigating the "In-Between" We are currently in a rare overlap where the final "shedding" of the Year of the Snake meets the active arrival of the Fire Horse. This teaching explains why you may feel "blocked" and how to prioritize stability during this transition. Egregores and Collective Thought Forms An Egregore is a collective thought form created when many people focus on the same fear or worry. Learn how to use Reiki to lift your energy into higher frequencies (the 12 Heavens) to stay clear and conscious. The Pathway to Joy Manifestation requires a frequency shift. We discuss the "Chain of Activation": Notice Beauty: Find one objective point of beauty in your environment. Activate Gratitude: Allow that beauty to spark a genuine "thank you." Find Joy: Let the gratitude soften the heart and open the door to manifestation. The Power of Kindness Reflecting on the insights of Paul Stamets, we discuss how random acts of kindness are a fundamental human trait that restores stability to our greater communities and ourselves. Eagle, Mouse, and Inner Vision Eagle Vision: The soul's perspective, seeing the path is intact. Mouse Vision: The immediate, practical step right in front of you. Inner Vision: Your intuitive guidance that bridges the two. Join Elevated GP: www.theelevatedgp.com Register for the live meeting: https://www.theelevatedgp.com/ElevationSummit Download the Injection Molding Guide: https://www.theelevatedgp.com/IMpdf Episode Description In part two of this two-part conversation, Dr. Brian Vence moves from philosophy into execution, offering a clear, ethical, and highly practical framework for how comprehensive dentistry is diagnosed, discussed, and ultimately chosen by patients in a successful fee-for-service practice. This episode is a deep dive into how dentists can guide patients through complex decisions without pressure, persuasion, or procedural selling. Dr. Vence outlines his structured yet flexible approach to patient intake, record gathering, diagnosis, and treatment planning—centered around what he calls the Pathway to Essential and Meaningful Treatment. Rather than dictating solutions, he emphasizes co-discovery: helping patients see, understand, and articulate their own problems before ever discussing procedures. A central theme is risk reduction over procedures. Dr. Vence explains how he frames treatment options not as products to purchase, but as graduated ways to lower biological, structural, functional, and aesthetic risk over time. From stabilizing compromised teeth to sequencing orthodontics, restorative care, and provisional solutions, the focus remains on sustainability—not urgency. You'll hear practical insight on: How to structure patient intake from the first phone call through diagnosis and case presentation Why allowing patients to ask for solutions is more powerful than proposing them How to use analogies and visual co-discovery to explain complex problems without overwhelm The difference between short-term stabilization and long-term structural correction Why timelines, pacing, and emotional safety matter more than closing treatment plans Dr. Vence also addresses real-world concerns around fees, financing, and practice sustainability. He discusses why fee structures should reflect time, complexity, and overhead—not insurance schedules—and how this approach supports both clinical integrity and business stability. Importantly, he underscores that dentists cannot want treatment more than the patient does—a mindset shift that allows for clarity, calm, and long-term success. The episode closes with a candid reflection on leadership, emotional resilience, and the inner work required to sustain a fee-for-service practice over decades. Dr. Vence shares why confidence doesn't come from certainty or volume, but from having a clear vision, strong values, and the ability to remain grounded as conditions change. Together, parts one and two provide a comprehensive roadmap for dentists who want to practice at a higher level—clinically, ethically, and relationally—while building a practice that is both financially stable and deeply fulfilling. This is not about faster dentistry. It's about better decisions, made well, over time.
Chris Mannix joined Ken Carman and Anthony Lima to share what he's heard on the story he broke overnight of the Cavaliers targeting James Harden in a trade for Darius Garland. He talked about whether or not Harden would be an upgrade over Garland, what compensation each side is looking for, and whether or not Harden can get the Cavaliers over the hump and into the finals. He also discussed Donovan Mitchell's future and whether he could want out of Cleveland early, and if he thinks LeBron James will finish his career with the Lakers.
In this in-depth episode of Hidden Wisdom, Meghan Farner shares five core practices that accelerate spiritual growth, drawn from her own lived experience of awakening, healing, and deepened relationship with God.Moving beyond passive obedience and performative religion, this episode invites listeners into spiritual adulthood—where personal accountability, direct revelation, embodied healing, and courage replace fear-based faith. Meghan explores what it truly means to inquire of the Lord, pursue spiritual rebirth, reframe repentance as healing, and release the subtle fears that keep us spiritually stalled.Grounded in scripture, personal revelation, and esoteric Christian wisdom, this conversation is for seekers who want a lived experience of the divine, not just belief—without dismantling family, community, or faith.
