There were some big events that happened this weekend with Tough Mudder Infinity in Pittsburg, the final Conquer the Gauntlet under the Mainprize ownership, the first of the Savage Point Series races in Maryland, and the Spartan European Championships, but we covered the final BoldrDash OCR in Exeter, RI! BoldrDash as a race series had a huge role to play in our overall OCR history! It was Mike's 9th ever OCR, and Katelyn's 7th ever OCR back on May 3rd 2014 (video here). We have also volunteered more at this race than any other, whether it was Mike waking up really early to volunteer all day at an obstacle, or helping people through the course with the Find Your Bold/all abilities team! While it didn't have the huge reputation around the country or even world like FIT Challenge had with the annual community awards, it was still an integral aspect of local OCR in New England! Lynn Hall started these events back in 2011, has put on events at incredible venues such as beaches, ski hills, and former amusement park land, before settling at a permanent course at Canonicus the past few years. We wish Lynn the best in what she continues to do with Find Your Bold! Lastly, if you have information as to the spelling or last name of the guests in this episode, we would appreciate it. 0:00 – 6:40 – Intro 6:40 – 18:17 – Quick News 18:17 – 21:03 – Content Preface 21:03 - 25:27 - Start Line Audio 25:27 - 1:13:29 - Interviews (Laura Conkelin, Lisa Addelin, and Emily Addelin, Jasmine Somatis, Kya, and Kaleen, Katie Callahan, Eric, Anthony, Jose, Jack, and Jesus, Andy, and Matt, Caroline Fritz, Becky, Steve Bacon, Jacqueline, Connor Nolan, and Sandra Pearson, Mike, Kristen, Angelica, Dazar, Amir, and Kesha, Lee Carney, and Tracy Carney, Ryan McGowan, Joe Cronin, and Kevin LaPlatney, Greg Hall, David, Josh Fiore, Amy Haskell, Andy Haskell, Mike Stefano) 1:13:29 - 1:21:35 - Lynn Hall Interview 1:21:35 - End – Outro Next weekend we will have an episode on Spartan Pan American Championship in Seattle, the Killington Spartan Beast, or something else! ____ News Stories: Mike Lozan Death and Celebration of Life Run Obstacle Wonderland Course on Plattekill Day Anthony Kunkle Taking on OCRWC Evan Perperis New Book Carlo's Dog Peaches Cerus Fitness News Shield Justice Looking for Tough Mudder Sonoma 2023 Participants (Can't Find Ad but Here is Related Reddit Post) We Were Featured in OCR Directory Jack Carpenter's Brain Tumor Tyler Matechak Taking on The Barkley Fall Classic 50K Lindsay Webster Registered for Canadian Trail Racing Championships Spartan Canada National Series Kelowna Beast Podiums Spartan Kelowna Super Podiums Spartan Canadian National Series Results Spartan West Virginia Beast Podiums Spartan West Virginia Super Podiums Savage Maryland Podiums Car Seesaw Secret Link Baba Transition Secret Link Gym Pokemon Secret Link Old Gymnast Secret Link Old Runners Secret Link ____ Related Episodes: 71. Welcome to "Movie Night with Greg Hall," where we dive deep into the world of conspiracy-themed movies and documentaries. In tonight's episode, we dissect the provocative documentary "Lawfare" by Tommy Robinson, once a prominent figure in the English Defence League. We critically examine Robinson's narrative, exposing manipulative editing, factual distortions, and propagandistic techniques. Throughout the episode, we discuss Robinson's controversial past, the misuse of statistics, and the portrayal of extremist views as common sense. We'll question Robinson's self-proclaimed crusade against a so-called totalitarian state, while highlighting his own history of inciting division and exploiting sensitive topics like immigration, race, and public health. From comical misrepresentations to dangerous rhetoric, we leave no stone unturned. We also share personal anecdotes and historical context, bringing to light the ongoing struggle against right-wing mobilizations and the importance of preserving truth and integrity. So grab your popcorn and get ready for an enlightening and entertaining deconstruction of a film that aims to provoke but falls flat under scrutiny.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/some-dare-call-it-conspiracy--5932731/support.

It's Movie Night with Greg Hall! In today's episode, Brent Lee puts the guys through absolute hell and makes them watch Plandemic 3: The Great Awakening by film maker Mikki Willis. Enjoy! From Wikipedia "Plandemic is a trilogy of conspiracy theory films produced by Mikki Willis promoting misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic. They feature Judy Mikovits, a discredited American researcher and prominent anti-vaccine activist. The first video, Plandemic: The Hidden Agenda Behind Covid-19, was released on May 4, 2020, under Willis' production company Elevate Films. The second film, Plandemic Indoctornation, which includes more interviewees, was released on August 18 by Brian Rose's distributor of conspiracy theory related films, London Real. Later on June 3, 2023, Plandemic 3: The Great Awakening was released on The Highwire, a website devoted to conspiracy theories run by anti-vaccine activist Del Bigtree. Upon its release, the first video went viral, becoming one of the most widespread pieces of COVID-19 misinformation, its popularity most attributed to online word-of-mouth. It was quickly removed by multiple online platforms, but this failed to stop its proliferation. The video also contributed to the increasing rebellion against health protocols. Due to social media companies' preparedness for its release, Plandemic: Indoctornation received less attention. Scientists and health professionals have criticized all the installments of the trilogy for their misleading claims, while Willis' filmmaking style employing various modes of persuasion has been cited as lending to a conspiratorial and brainwashing character of the film."
Joining Taplines today is Seth Gross, a former Goose Island Brewing Co. brewer who was at the meeting where Goose Island then-brewmaster Greg Hall and the late, legendary master distiller Booker Noe, of the Beam bourbon dynasty, first came up with the idea to barrel age a beer, how they did it… and what happened once rank-and-file drinkers got their hands on the final product. Some three decades later, Gross is still barrel-aging his own beers at Durham, North Carolina's Bull City Burger and Brewery — just one of the hundreds, or more likely thousands of brewers who have taken up the BA gospel since. 179 – Why did God rest on the original Sabbath day?Was God tired? What does it mean for God to rest? How does this apply to you and me? Is there something we need to know about the original Sabbath day, that helps us find a Biblical rest and what it really means to obey the Fourth Commandment? In this week's episode, I talk with Gregory Hall about what the original Sabbath is and how we can remember it the way God intended. Here are some of the things we talked about:How some people misunderstand the 4th CommandmentWhat the 4th Commandment is actually asking us to doWhat is true Biblical rest? How did Jesus think about the Sabbath? What kind of rest did Jesus offer us?What day of the week is the real Sabbath? (It's not what you think!)These are just a few of the questions we dove into.We also talked about Greg's new book Rethinking Rest, Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn't Working.*And check out Greg's podcast: Rethinking Scripture podcast. To see the full transcript of the episode and all Bible quotes, go to the show notes at thebiblespeakstoyou.com/179.* Affiliate linkSupport the show_________________________James Early, the Jesus Mindset Coach, is a Bible teacher, speaker, and podcaster. Rethinking Rest Gregory Hall pt 3 As Christians, we have heard the continuous arguments back and forth about a “Day of Rest.” Another term used is as “Sabbath of Rest.” The arguments form around if that is simply an Old Testament tradition that no longer is applicable for this modern age or Saturday's are the day that needs to be recognized or Sunday is the day true “Christians” should observe because it is in recognition of the resurrection of Christ. The divides are deep on this topic. They have resulted in denominational splits. These arguments have split families. These arguments have affected peoples employment opportunities as well. To help us understand the true Biblical concept of REST is our guest, Gregory Hall. Greg was a pastor for 10 years and he served as an adjunct professor at a few local universities where he lives in the Northwest US. He has a podcast called, “Rethinking Scripture” and is the author of a great book, “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn't Working.” I see in your book where you discuss Plato and his description of “shadows.” That caught my attention because I recently did a teaching on the “types and shadows” that Moses was told to pattern the elements of the Tabernacle after. A shadow has no substance. It is only an indicator that something of substance is behind it. The Sabbath is mentioned as one of those shadows. How should we interpret those references concerning the commandment to observe the Sabbath day if it is a shadow of the true rest of God? In Chapter 7 of your book, you discuss “testing the waters of rest.” Can explain that for us and how we can go through the process of “testing the waters of rest?” Greg, as I said, this has been interesting. How can someone order a copy of your book, “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn't Working?” Is it on Amazon? If someone wanted to reach out to you, to ask a question or maybe to do an interview such as this, how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you? Folks, unless you read books like Greg Hall's book, “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn't Working,” you will be stuck thinking like you always “thunk.” I guess I can say that… it may not be grammatically correct, but you get my point. You need to study the works from folks like Greg Hall and John H. Walton, people who have taken the time to research and dig deep and then compile information in a manner that makes it easy for you and I and others to comprehend and put to action. Amen! He has a podcast called, “Rethinking Scripture” and is the author of a great book, “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn't Working.” I'm looking forward to this interview as I believe it will open our eyes to what the Bible truly has to say about this topic. First question I always start with though, is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Gregory Hall?” In your book, “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn't Working,” you make a distinction between “rest” and “sabbath.” Can you explain that for us? We know some denominations that follow the tradition that Saturday is the Biblical day of the Sabbath. We also have many, Christian denominations in particular, that recognize Sunday as the Sabbath because that is the day of the week that Jesus rose from the dead. I guess I have two questions at this point… Does it matter as long as we are recognizing a Day of Rest as a Sabbath? If it does matter, which day is correct? A question that comes up frequently is this: In Genesis, we see that “God rested” on the 7th day. But some will ask, “If God is all powerful, why did He need to rest?” In your book, you share a different perspective on this view. Can you share that with us? There are many professions, I was in the military and also in law enforcement, and we were required to work rotating schedules that would include working on some Saturday's and Sunday's. Some were on, some off. Hospitals and other professions do the same. How does the Biblical “day of rest” and the “Sabbath” apply to those professions? Are people in “sin” because of their work schedule? PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A new proposal from Nike to the City of Portland asked for a partnership to protect employees and customers at its Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard store. While the Nike store at 2650 NE MLK Jr Blvd. is still listed as a location on their website, it is labeled as “closed for the next 7 days,” and has been since it was shuttered late last year with no explanation.Nike said their employees and customers are their priority with the security proposal, which the city has not yet responded to.“Because a safe and secure workplace is essential for our employees, consumers, and communities, we have proposed a sustained and coordinated partnership with the city to better protect employees, consumers, and the community surrounding our MLK Community Store,” Nike said.Greg Hall at the nearby Le Bontemps Cafe and Caterin, said he hopes the city will work with Nike and reopen the store, as he missed shopping there and his café benefited from the foot traffic the shop attracted.“There used to be a line across the way, and they'd come over here and get something to drink and go over there,” Hall said.Support the showSign Up For Exclusive Episodes At: https://reasonabletv.com/LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos every day. https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsForReasonablePeople

Every 365 Brothers interview includes stories of the variety of experiences Black men have with police. While there are definitely tales of the full range of experiences with law enforcement--positive, negative, funny and otherwise--the pervasiveness of the harms that come with structural bias, racial profiling and excessive force prevail. Perhaps we need to change the language. Excessive force is being roughed up. Why isn't killing a man without trial or sentencing a "lynching by state actors?" Language matters!
