Pastor Travis Hearn brings a powerful and cinematic message to Impact Church titled “Living a Life of Sacrifice.” With raw honesty and heartfelt storytelling, he invites us into the legacy of his mother—Toni—a woman who gives up her own dreams, works four jobs, and sacrifices everything just to be present for her son. But this isn't just her story—it becomes a mirror for all of us. In this message, Pastor Travis calls you to something deeper: not just believing in Jesus, but fully belonging to Him. As he unpacks Romans 12:1, you'll be challenged to offer your life—not in part, but in full—as a living sacrifice. Worship, he says, isn't just what happens on a Sunday stage, it's what happens when your life hits the altar on Monday morning. If you've ever felt unseen, broken, or out of place, this message reminds you—you're not overlooked, you're set apart. Through the promise of Psalm 91 and the boldness of Daniel, you'll be inspired to stop conforming and start transforming. Because when you see God's mercy clearly, giving Him everything won't feel like loss—it'll feel like the only thing that makes sense.

Pastor Jeremy | BFBC-Glendive | Sunday Matt 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Matt 6:10 (TPT) Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in heaven. ● This is a powerful 3 word invitation. ● When you pray “You Kingdom Come” you are asking almighty God to invade your world and transform it. ● You are stating that you are not satisfied with the ways things are and you know that the Kingdom of God will be an upgrade in your neck of the woods. ● This is no small request. We are stating that what we are about to pray will require Almighty God to accomplish. The Kingdom of God was a central focus of Jesus' ministry here on the earth. 1. Matt 4:17 - The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand 2. Matt 4:23 - Jesus went about preaching the good news of the Kingdom of God. 3. Luke 4:43 - I was sent to preach the good news of the Kingdom of God 4. John 18 Jesus said “My Kingdom is not of this world...it is from a different place” a. Jesus is saying that The Kingdom of God functions differently, has different commitments, different guidelines, we make decisions based on a different set of circumstances, we look at life differently, and ultimately we end up in a different place. Kingdom - A kingdom is a territory or domain governed by a king (or queen). He has absolute authority and influence over a people and has a responsibility to his subjects for their wellbeing. His dominion and authority are absolute. 1. King/Lord a. The kingdom is a direct representation of its king. b. Authority flows from the king and the word of the king is supreme. 2. Territory a. Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof 3. Covenant/Constitution/Law a. Psalm 119 is all about the value of the Word of God. b. Heb 4:12 the Word of God is living and powerful...sharper than any two edged sword... 4. Citizenry - People who live under the rule of the King - The Church a. Matt 16:18 I will build My Church... b. Acts 2: 46 the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved c. Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 5. Economy a. Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. b. 1 Tim 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. c. Mal 3:8-12 Tithes & offerings 6. Culture a. Mark 10:45 The Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for many. b. Luke 12:31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. c. Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. d. Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” e. Loving your neighbor f. Praying for your enemies g. Generocity h. Walk by faith and not by sight i. Doers of the Word and not hearers only j. We cast out demons, we speak with new tongues, if any deadly thing comes in contact with our body it will not harm us, and when we lay hands on the sick they recover. When we pray “Your Kingdom Come” we are making a declaration that the way the Kingdom of God operates is the way you would like your life to operate.

Send us a textIn the final sermon of the Hot Seat Model series, Pastor Eric teaches on what it looks like to help someone move across the table—from the side of false beliefs and chosen relief to the side of Jesus' story, true identity, and life in the Kingdom. He focuses on how our God-given longings often get turned into demands, and how that shift can lead us away from trust and toward control.Pastor Eric encourages the community to rely on the Holy Spirit—both in listening to God and in learning how to walk with one another. He emphasizes that helping someone isn't about fixing them but staying present, asking good questions, and pointing them back to Jesus. The sermon also includes specific ways to help people reconnect with the gospel: questions that surface what they believe, who they think they are, and what it might look like to respond to God rather than react to pain. The goal isn't just awareness—it's renewal. And that happens best in community, with the Spirit's help.Support the showThe Village Church's sermon podcast is more than just a weekly message. It is an invitation into the great and ongoing story of God's work in the world. Pastors Eric, Mark, Susan, Daniel, and other leaders open the Scriptures not as a collection of abstract ideas but as the living, breathing witness to God's kingdom breaking into our midst. Each episode is a call—not merely to listen, but to take part, to step forward into the life of faith with renewed vision and purpose. Week by week, the pastors and leaders explore the deep rhythms of Christian discipleship—prayer, fasting, generosity—not as isolated duties but as part of a larger, richer, and more beautiful whole. They unpack these ancient practices in light of Jesus himself, the one in whom heaven and earth have come together. But they also turn their attention to the realities of everyday life—relationships, finances, the struggles and joys of being human—demonstrating how the gospel is not merely about what we believe but about how we live as God's renewed people in the present age. Living as a saint means actively participating in God's kingdom work through sincere love and humble service. This involves loving without conditions, taking emotional risks, and being willing to have difficult conversations when necessary. True Christian love holds others accountable while considering them more important than ourselves, demonstrating genuine care without expecting anything in return. This lifestyle requires avoiding spiritual laziness while maintaining fervor in serving God. Christians are called to share with those in need, pursue hospitality, and live in harmony through humility. When faced with persecution, the response should be blessing rather than revenge, maintaining peace whenever possible, and focusing on eternal matters. This includes practical actions like helping enemies and viewing the world through Scripture's perspective rather than conforming to worldly patterns.Support the show

Choosing the Narrow Path in a World of 8 BillionScripture References: Matthew 7:13-14; Galatians 5:13-26; Matthew 24; John 15Sermon Notes:Intro: (Podcast intro music fades) Welcome to today's sermon. We are living in an unprecedented time – the population has exploded from 4 billion to over 8 billion in roughly one lifetime. It took all of human history until 1804 to reach 1 billion, yet we've added 4 billion recently. What is God doing? You have been chosen by God to be alive now, handpicked for the greatest potential harvest in history. He's setting the stage. But how do we partner with Him effectively in this unique moment? Jesus speaks of two paths: one wide and easy, chosen by most, leading to destruction; one narrow and difficult, leading to life (Matt 7:13-14). We're called to this narrow path. This path is vividly described in Galatians 5.Key Points: The Narrow Path (Galatians 5)Marked with Love & Service (v. 13-15): Live a life of constant love and committed service, not just to those like us, but to anyone in need (the Good Samaritan principle). Resist the end-times trend of love growing cold (Matt 24). True joy is found outside self-focus.Yielding to Purpose (v. 16): Yield to the Holy Spirit's power, abandoning self-life cravings. God has an incredible, unique purpose written for your life. Don't just coast; ask Him what it is for this season.Obedience (v. 17-21): Recognize the conflict between self-life (flesh) and the Spirit. Actively avoid sin ("obvious" behaviors listed). Obedience isn't a burden; it's the key to freedom, peace, and clarity.Full of Fruit (v. 22-23): The narrow path produces limitless spiritual fruit (love, joy, peace, patience, etc.) as we stay connected to God (John 15). The world needs to see this authentic fruit, not just gifts.Complete Surrender (v. 24): We who belong to Christ have crucified the self-life. This death to self is central. Surrender control ("dead people don't talk"). It's counter-cultural but leads to true freedom.Embracing God's Rhythms (v. 25): Live by the Spirit and keep in step with the Spirit. Honor His pacing, including rest (Sabbath) and the season you're in. Pursue holistic health.Humility (v. 26): Forsake arrogance, comparison, and jealousy. Value all people, made in God's image. Be quick to honor, bless, and build up, not tear down. Conclusion: The narrow path is challenging, yes, but it's glorious – it's what we were made for. Dissatisfaction often stems from settling for the wide road. A man from Iran's underground church, who met Jesus supernaturally, shared his struggle finding that same Jesus in American Christianity, asking, "I didn't know people like you [living the narrow way] existed." His words are haunting. The 8 billion people on this planet desperately need to know that Christians like you – committed to the narrow path of love, service, purpose, obedience, fruitfulness, surrender, rhythm, and humility – exist.Call to Action: Recognize the significance of this moment in history. Choose today: will you settle for the comfortable, wide-road Christianity, or will you embrace the narrow path where Jesus is? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Commit to walking the narrow way outlined in Galatians 5. Let's be the people the world needs to see. Support the show*Summaries and transcripts are generated using AI. There is a tension to be maintained. We deny ourselves and carry our crosses, but we gain immeasurable treasure—fellowship with God, eternal life, and a life of purpose. Let's reflect on one area God is asking us for deeper surrender. Then let's embrace that cost and trust in the goodness of our God. God, help us find joy in sacrifices we make for Christ's sake and to rest in your unshakeable promises.

This week's scripture:Psalm 1, Luke 6v17-26How do we better embrace and better live into Jesus' Kingdom invitation? What if the blessings and woes serve to say it's not your circumstances that make or break you, it's your desire to "seek first His kingdom and His righteousness"?
There is a purpose called success that is available to every believer, but why are so many still living beneath their privileges? Too many believers, consistently, are embroiled in unproductive affairs, and are failing to accomplish the greater success that God has called them to. Pastor Donnie McClurkin, with much exuberance, addressed the elements of success preordained by God. From his text in Jeremiah 29, he reminded the believers that they should expect to excel and achieve their goals because their destiny is in God. They should push forward, while never looking back at past failures and expect to win. It's time for them to get out of the perpetual struggle of poverty, brokenness and all dysfunctions and seize the opportunities that are ahead. He cautioned, however, that they should not allow life to deprive them of what God has destined for them and that it's never too late to begin again. He closed emphatically saying, to never give up on hope. So expect the victory, expect the love, expect the peace and certainly, expect the great success. Expect to win! The Law of God is a good gift that protects us from our flesh & provides for us an intimate invitation into Kingdom Living & ‘right relationship' with Him. When we reject this offer of relationship, the law reveals to us our deep need for reconciliation. It is horrifying & humbling to sit & stare in the mirror; #ButGod in Christ makes a way as he fulfills the law & returns us to relationship in His Kingdom.

People wear uniforms for a variety of reasons; identity, sense of belonging, and professionalism. For example when you see a person in a small white truck, blue pants and jacket roll through the neighborhood, you know your mail or package is about to be delivered. What is the uniform of a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven? In the Beatitudes, Jesus welcomed in rag tag bunch of nobodies into God's Kingdom. The truth is they weren't much to look at...they were a pathetic, powerless bunch. Yet Jesus invites them into the Kingdom and in Matthew 5:13-16 he describes what their uniform looks like: Salt & Light. What is Jesus even talking about? More importantly, how are we supposed to "wear that uniform" in our world today? To learn more about what Jesus is describing in this section of The Sermon on the Mount, give a listen to part two of The Sermon on the Mount.
Series: "Kingdom Living" - John 4:4 / In recent years, many evangelical churches have attempted to put a focused beam of attention on ethnic diversity within the Body of Christ. Dr. Crawford Loritts addresses this topic in his next message in the series, "Kingdom Living." He's quick to point out that churches focused on diversity should not take their cues from culture but rather follow the model of Christ.
