I messed up on these episodes .I am putting out this episode without cuts. The AI, I used has been cutting things off. I apologize. Hopefully, someone else will learn from my mistake. Welcome to the DMF! I'm Justin Younts, and today we're spotlighting the wisdom and creative spirit of Christine La Monte, who reminds us of the power of one simple word: yes. For Christine, saying yes has opened doors throughout her life and career — from directing plays to embracing unexpected film projects. One such opportunity is tied to her husband's book, Justice Deferred, which was once optioned by Warner Brothers and has now returned to her control. With screenwriter Laura Curran attached, Christine is actively pushing forward to bring it to life as a feature or series.Christine speaks openly about embracing challenges with purpose. She often reflects on the book The Journey of the Everyday Hero, a philosophy she lives by — that every challenge carries the seed of growth. She believes deeply that experiences, both good and difficult, shape who we are meant to become. Her commitment to self-care and spirituality also fuels her creative work. In this uncannily prescient novel eerily relevant to our contemporary political moment, Undercity unfolds across 16 interconnected vignettes, as Schulz charts the lives of two dozen characters desperately trying to survive and retain their humanity in a civil order that has tumbled into totalitarianism. Building on the world Schulz created in his highly successful book Metropolis, Undercity collects the voices of brave survivors, of those who've refused to submit to the indignities of eugenical persecution, the horror of gas chambers, and relentless warfare in rural provinces. Some of these stories demonstrate the moral disaster of eugenics, while others tell of courage and love and that indomitable magic of the human spirit that refuses to be silenced in the face of unspeakable crimes.  This sweeping tale is a warning to us, as well, that what we might think is unimaginable needs only apathy and inattention to arise. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

In this episode of Talk of Music City Real Estate, CareyAnn and Monte sit down with Jonathan Harris to unpack a radically different way to list and sell homes in today's unpredictable market (2020–2025 and beyond).  Jonathan explains why experience can become a blind spot, why price does NOT equal value, and how his Marketplace Method can help agents get nearly any home under contract in **10–14 days**—without sacrificing client trust or sales price.  You'll hear how strategic starting prices, seller reserve prices, compressed open-house windows, and upfront inspections/appraisals can create transparent competition, more showings, stronger offers, and greater certainty for sellers.
