On the eve of the NFL's legal tampering period, Monte and Sal break down what the New York Giants could do as free agency begins. Monte returns from Mexico sporting a visible injury (and plenty of cartel jokes), while the duo analyzes the team's key pending free agents—Jermaine Eluemunor, Cor'Dale Flott, and Wan'Dale Robinson—predicting which will return and which are likely gone. They game out cap space after restructures, debate top needs (cornerback, interior offensive line, linebacker, run-stuffing defensive tackle, weapons), evaluate realistic targets like Elijah Vera-Tucker, Jamal Dean, Kaden Elliss, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Rico Dowdle, Dallas Goedert, and Mike Evans, and discuss building a wide-receiver-by-committee approach around Malik Nabers versus chasing a splash veteran. Expect split predictions, scheme-fit arguments, and growing excitement for the new Harbaugh/Ponte/Shane era.Timestamps (Shortened with Corrected Names):00:00 – Intro & Monte's Mexico update01:03 – Free agency timeline & expectations01:57 – Team priorities & targets overview03:56 – Pending free agents breakdown19:15 – Cap space & restructuring plans26:30 – Cornerback targets & debate32:36 – Interior O-line targets & predictions38:44 – Linebacker targets & picks41:48 – Interior D-line targets46:58 – Weapons philosophy (run game focus)49:01 – Tight end targets & strategy53:48 – Running back targets & committee approach58:00 – Wide receiver committee & targets1:02:00+ – Final predictions & closing hypePlease Rate and Subscribe!Follow Us:@HesAGiantPod@montecri5to@queens_guy
Three days into NFL free agency, Monte and Sal unpack the Giants' early moves—re-signing Jermaine Eluemunor, adding Isaiah Likely, Pat Ricard, Adarius Washington, and Greg Newsome, while bringing back Evan Neal on a prove-it deal and losing Wan'Dale Robinson and Cor'Dale Flott. They discuss the team's apparent cap restraint, the vision for a more physical run-heavy offense and defense under the new Harbaugh/Ponte/Shane regime, and why the interior trenches remain the glaring unfinished business. The duo then runs two full seven-round mock drafts—one without trades (BPA-focused) and one with strategic trades down—landing impact players.Timestamps:00:00 – Intro & sound issues00:48 – Free agency recap & early signings03:53 – Evan Neal return & reactions07:21 – Cap restraint & competing in 202611:01 – Offensive additions (Likely, Ricard) & run-game vision16:00 – Defensive additions (Edmunds, Washington, Newsome)20:01 – Mock draft setup & no-trade scenario43:00 – Trade-down scenario & strategy1:09:00 – Final draft grades & closing thoughtsPlease Rate and Subscribe!Follow Us:@HesAGiantPod@montecri5to@queens_guy

Watts explains how the collection highlights the careful work of scribes, translators, and martyrs who sacrificed to ensure the Bible could be read and trusted across generations.

The strategy is solid, the people are capable, and yet growth has stalled — decisions drag, meetings loop, and the CEO is carrying everything alone. Monte's diagnosis is consistent: the problem isn't strategy. It's alignment. As CEO of AddingZEROS and WSJ and USA Today Best-Selling Author of “Pulling Profits Out of a Hat”, Monte has spent over 30 years helping executives see what they can't see from inside their own organizations. In this episode, Jason and Makenzie sit down with Steve Thornton and Eric Harris of Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) to discuss the company's evolution to employee ownership. They reflect on their company's journey to an ESOP and how succession was intentionally embodied well before the formal transition, and the cultural foundations that made ESOP alignment a natural fit. The conversation also explores how employee ownership can bridge founders to successors, along with candid advice for leaders considering this path, including preparation, key decisions, and lessons learned along the way.

Ressens l'impact.

My late night adventures into the local jazz underworld have introduced me to some fascinating new friends, and I wanted to bring two of them into the Nostalgia Trap universe. Monte Montgomery and Alan Burgess are old pals whose frequent conversations often veer into the uncomfortable territories of race, culture and politics that will be familiar to Trap listeners. In this first episode in a series with Monte and Alan, we tackle the idea of "cultural appropriation" within the context of "race music," from Elvis to Eminem. https://monteschulzauthor.comBio - Acclaimed novelist Monte Schulz, son of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, joins the show to discuss Undercity, a genre-blending fantasy-sci-fi thriller set in a hidden underground civilization. In this uncannily prescient novel eerily relevant to our contemporary political moment, Undercity unfolds across 16 interconnected vignettes, as Schulz charts the lives of two dozen characters desperately trying to survive and retain their humanity in a civil order that has tumbled into totalitarianism. Building on the world Schulz created in his highly successful book Metropolis, Undercity collects the voices of brave survivors, of those who've refused to submit to the indignities of eugenical persecution, the horror of gas chambers, and relentless warfare in rural provinces. Some of these stories demonstrate the moral disaster of eugenics, while others tell of courage and love and that indomitable magic of the human spirit that refuses to be silenced in the face of unspeakable crimes. This sweeping tale is a warning to us, as well, that what we might think is unimaginable needs only apathy and inattention to arise. Praise for Metropolis "Eloquent, engaging, thoughtful and thought-provoking, Metropolis showcases author Monte Schulz's impressive skills as a novelist and storyteller. A modern masterpiece of literary fiction..." ― Midwest Book Review Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.
Welcome back to He's a Giant, where Monte and Sal break down the dawn of the John Harbaugh era for the New York Giants. In this slightly earlier-than-usual episode, the guys dissect the brand-new coaching staff stacked with veteran experience (Matt Nagy, Denard Wilson, Brian Callahan, Greg Roman, Mike Bloomgren & more), the fascinating front-office power shift with Dawn Aponte reporting directly to Harbaugh, and the aggressive “push-your-chips-in” free-agency philosophy they expect the Giants to take around their young core of Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Andrew Thomas, and Dexter Lawrence. From potential offensive-line overhauls (Tyler Linderbaum, Wyatt Teller, Joel Bitonio, AVT) to wide-receiver and linebacker targets, plus every scheme-fit connection under the new regime, this is the ultimate roadmap for how the Giants plan to load up and compete in 2026.Timestamps:00:00:08 Welcome & studio tour00:01:45 Full coaching staff breakdown & veteran-experience theme00:05:43 Philosophical approach to free agency & roster building00:09:36 Dawn Aponte front-office role & Harbaugh power structure00:16:41 “Fill the starting 22 before the draft” strategy00:23:28 Offensive line deep dive – Linderbaum, Teller, Bitonio, AVT, etc.00:58:08 Wide receiver & running back targets01:08:39 Tight end options01:13:49 Linebacker & defensive line targets01:30:28 Cornerback & safety free agents01:45:36 Final thoughts & 2026 “all-in” outlook

Welcome to Unpacked, Five Questions, a podcast that takes you behind the scenes of one great travel story. In this episode, host and Afar executive editor Katherine LaGrave sits down with contributing writer Lisa Abend, a Copenhagen‑based journalist known for her deep reporting on food, culture, and the ways travel shapes communities. For her latest Afar feature, Lisa embarked on an ambitious road trip across northern Spain to visit five tiny towns where some of the country's most exciting chefs are opening destination restaurants — and, in the process, helping revive regions long affected by depopulation. Lisa shares how she first discovered this movement, why these chefs are choosing villages of just a few hundred residents over major cities, and how their restaurants are sparking unexpected ripple effects — from new guesthouses to revived local food traditions. She also talks about the surprising absence of seafood in northern Spain's inland kitchens, the emotional family histories behind many of these restaurants, and why chatting with gas‑station attendants might be the best road‑trip advice you'll hear all year. On this episode you'll learn: Why some of Spain's most ambitious chefs are opening restaurants in remote villages How food tourism can help counter rural depopulation What makes northern Spain's regional cultures so distinct — from language to landscape to cuisine Why hyperlocal cooking in these towns often excludes seafood, even when the coast is close How family history shapes the stories these chefs tell on the plate Don't miss these moments: [03:00] The Madrid chef conference that sparked Lisa's reporting [05:00] How a single restaurant can create a ripple effect across a small town [07:00] The surprising reason none of these restaurants serve seafood [14:00] Lisa's best advice for road‑tripping across northern Spain [16:00] The gas‑station cherry exchange that became an unforgettable travel moment [21:00] The “pregnant bun” dish Lisa would eat again in a heartbeat [22:00] How family stories — and even abandoned villages — shaped the chefs' menus Resources Read Lisa's full Afar feature on Spain's small‑town culinary revolution Follow Lisa Abend for more food and travel reporting Explore Afar's Spain travel guides Visit the restaurants Lisa mentions in the episode and her story: Versátil, Monte, Arrea!, Ansils, Fuentelgato Be sure to subscribe to the show and sign up for our podcast newsletter, Behind the Mic, where we share upcoming episodes and behind‑the‑scenes details.
