TEMPO DE REFLETIR 01620 – 21 de dezembro de 2025 Apocalipse 22:6 – Estas palavras são fiéis e verdadeiras. O Senhor, o Deus dos espíritos dos profetas, enviou Seu anjo para mostrar aos Seus servos as coisas que em breve devem acontecer. Estas palavras seguem imediatamente a visão de João, da Nova Terra. Enquanto esteve em Patmos ele aprendeu quão bem as coisas poderiam ir e quão mal também poderiam ir. Tinha visto o esplêndido início do evangelho em Jerusalém. Em seguida tinha visto as garras de ferro de Roma esmagarem a vida das igrejas e dos crentes. Domiciano reinava e procurou o aniquilamento dos perturbadores cristãos. De dentro da igreja novas ameaças à fé assaltavam o verdadeiro evangelho. O cativeiro em Patmos trouxe visões que tomavam o trauma e desencorajamentos de seus dias e os projetavam na arena cósmica. O que suas igrejas estavam sofrendo, o tempo traria sobre a Igreja como um todo. Contudo, as mesmas visões traziam esperança e alegria. As vastas multidões ao redor do trono, os cânticos de vitórias sobre o mar de vidro, o Cordeiro sobre o Monte de Sião mostravam-lhe quão temporárias eram a presente crise e dificuldade. Deus conduziria à vitória final e ele partilharia daquele triunfo. João aprendeu que o destino final do mundo não dependia de sua própria condição ou da situação difícil das igrejas que ele amava. Todavia, ele também aprendeu que os perseguidos, os apóstatas e os fiéis estão todos projetados na tela do futuro. Perseguição como em Pérgamo é a sorte da igreja em todos os tempos. A apostasia, vista tão claramente em Tiatira tinha assumido dimensões cósmicas. Fidelidade como a de Filadélfia salvaria um povo para o reino. Sabia quão preciosa era a comunhão que ele e outros haviam partilhado com Jesus. As visões da Nova Jerusalém tomavam essa íntima e doce comunhão e faziam dela o governo da Nova Terra. A morte e a enfermidade tinham fugido de diante do Filho de Deus. Desapareceriam da Terra para sempre. João poderia estar surpreso de que ainda aguardamos as coisas que em breve devem acontecer. Mas ele não estaria surpreso ante a alegria que enche o nosso coração ao pensarmos no futuro que Deus tem para nós. Ele se lembraria da comunhão com Jesus. Lembrar-se-ia da visão do futuro.  E nos estimularia a orar: “Vem, Senhor Jesus!” Vamos fazer isso agora? Pai, ansiamos pela volta de Cristo Jesus! Gabe authored the book, “Dirt to Soil, One Family's Journey Into Regenerative Agriculture.” He is a partner, along with David Kleinschmidt, Shane New, Kathy Richburg, and Dr. Allen Williams, in Understanding Ag LLC. TEMPO DE REFLETIR 01611 – 12 de dezembro de 2025 Mateus 6:31 – Não se preocupem, dizendo: Que vamos comer? ou Que vamos beber? ou Que vamos vestir? Certa ocasião, o Serviço de Saúde dos Estados Unidos mandou imprimir a seguinte declaração sobre a tendência para a preocupação: “Tanto quanto saibamos, nenhum pássaro tentou construir mais ninhos do que seu vizinho. Nenhuma raposa se aborreceu por ter apenas uma toca para se esconder. Nenhum esquilo morreu de ansiedade pelo fato de não ter o suprimento para dois invernos em lugar de um, e nenhum cachorro perdeu o sono pelo fato de não ter ossos suficientes para anos futuros”. Sabedor de nossa fragilidade como seres humanos, Jesus repetiu três vezes no Sermão do Monte a ordem “não se preocupem”. As recomendações ligadas a essa ordem fazem parte, hoje em dia, de conselhos nas áreas da medicina, psicologia e espiritualidade. A principal razão pela qual nos preocupamos é que desejamos controlar nossa vida, em lugar de confiar o futuro a Deus. Chegamos a pensar que podemos administrar melhor os resultados e o inesperado. Há inúmeras preocupações que nos assaltam no dia a dia: perder o emprego, sofrer um acidente, perder o cônjuge, bens, saúde, etc. A isso nossa imaginação acrescenta dúvidas, medos, números e expectativas. Ou, como diz um provérbio sueco: “A preocupação faz de um pequeno objeto uma grande sombra.” Quando nos preocupamos, bloqueamos a corrente natural de pensamento, o que nos impede de tomar resoluções adequadas. Quando nos preocupamos, chegamos até certo ponto a questionar a sabedoria de Deus. Mas nada é grave, difícil ou impossível para o Senhor. Ele sabe o que é melhor e cuida de nós. Estatísticos de uma universidade americana fizeram um estudo sobre coisas que preocupam o ser humano. Reuniram os itens em quatro grupos: 1º – 40% preocupam-se com coisas que nunca aconteceram; 2º – 30% preocupam-se com coisas que já aconteceram e não podem ser mudadas; 3º – 22% ocupam a mente com pequenas preocupações e crítica infundada dos demais; 4º – 8% têm preocupações legítimas. “Coisa alguma é grande demais para que Ele não possa suportar, pois é Ele quem mantém os mundos e governa o Universo. Nada daquilo que, de alguma forma, diz respeito à nossa paz é pequeno demais para que Ele não note. […] Nenhuma calamidade poderá sobrevir ao mais humilde de Seus filhos […] sem que Lhe desperte imediato interesse” (Caminho a Cristo, p. 100). (Antevíspera del Día Internacional de las Personas con Discapacidad) Sucedió en París el 18 de octubre de 2018. Mientras esperaba para subir al autobús, nadie quería moverse. Eso de por sí no habría sido gran cosa si se hubiera tratado de una persona cualquiera. Pero la persona a quien le sucedió, François Le Berre, era un hombre diagnosticado con esclerosis múltiple primaria progresiva que se movilizaba en silla de ruedas en compañía de su hermano. «Como nadie se movió —contó después Le Berre mismo en la cuenta de Twitter Accessible POUR TOUS (en español, Accesible PARA TODOS)—, el conductor se levantó y gritó: “¡Hasta aquí llegamos! ¡Bájense todos!” Los pasajeros se bajaron, algunos refunfuñando. Luego el conductor anunció que el próximo autobús pasaría en cinco minutos, y se bajó él mismo. Esperó un rato —siguió narrando Le Berre—, y una vez que todos se dispersaron, se me acercó y me dijo: “Ahora sí pueden subir. Los demás tendrán que esperar a que pase el siguiente autobús. Algún día todos pudieran llegar a necesitar una silla de ruedas.”» Cuando se le preguntó si había vuelto a tener contacto con el conductor, Le Berre respondió: «No, no lo conozco. Él nos dijo que no tenía ningún familiar con discapacidad, que sólo hacía falta ser un poco civilizado.»1 Lo ocurrido se difundió en las redes sociales y, como era de esperarse, hubo claras manifestaciones de apoyo al conductor además de relatos afines de gestos nobles en líneas de autobuses. Uno de éstos, por ejemplo, fue el caso de una pasajera en la ciudad de Niza, Francia. Embarazada de ocho meses, se subió al transporte público, pero nadie le cedió su asiento. El chofer, al darse cuenta, frenó y no volvió a poner el autobús en marcha hasta que alguien se levantó para que la mujer pudiera sentarse.2 ¡Qué buenos ejemplos de personas nobles comúnmente criticadas a causa de su profesión! Nos recuerdan el refrán que dice: «No hagas juicio a montón, sino tras buena información.» Pues con frecuencia, como dice otro refrán, «el león no es como lo pintan». Por eso nos advirtió Jesucristo en el Sermón del Monte: «No se conviertan en jueces de los demás, y así Dios no los juzgará a ustedes. Si son muy duros para juzgar a otras personas, Dios será igualmente duro con ustedes. Él los tratará como ustedes traten a los demás.... Así que en todo traten ustedes a los demás tal y como quieren que ellos los traten a ustedes.»3 Con esa última sentencia, conocida como la regla de oro, Cristo nos dio la clave para resolver prácticamente todo problema humano. Es que Él sabía que si la llevamos a la práctica podemos evitar que se den situaciones intolerables como las que afrontaron el hombre con discapacidad y la mujer embarazada. Determinemos que vamos a tratar a los demás con respeto y consideración, dispensando así no sólo el mismo trato que queremos recibir de parte del prójimo, sino también el que queremos recibir de parte de Dios mismo, quien nos creó a todos iguales.
