Historically and in nature, men are the leaders, the rulers, the conquers and they know it all. Or do they? One area or contention in my relationship and in most millennial relationships is gender roles. Often time I find myself taking the position of the leader of my household because I just don’t alway agree with how my partner deals with certain situations. His famous line “it’s your way or the highway!” Actually if he had a better way I would definitely go with that but most time my way is the better way. Or at least it’s undisputed. I’m going talk about a real life, real time issue going on in my home. And my way was the better way! He just won’t admit it. After leaving this trauma in the back of my mind for almost 20 years I am now learning that unresolved trauma can be the root cause of many issues I now experience as an adult. I will be discussing how I went through the 5 stages of grief. If you are suffering from depression or going through any traumatic or stressful situation please open up to someone and If necessary seek the help and guidance through counselling or other medical/professional help. https://psychcentral.com/lib/the-5-stages-of-loss-and-grief/ follow me on Instagram @realtalkwithlu and send your feedback, comments and questions to realtalkwithlu@gmail.com Thanks for supporting our sponsors Start your free 30 day trial with Audible and use my code for 1 free books credit and 2 free Audible originals with my link. http://www.audibletrial.com/Realtalklu --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/lucratia/message

Co-parenting is one of the biggest challenges I face as a mom every single day. Raising a child in a home where the other parent is not present is not easy it’s at times stressful and almost doesn’t seem worth the fight. I have to be the bigger person most times for the sake of my son’s mental health and wealth. I will discuss my challenges and how I deal with them always with my son’s feelings and best interest as the number 1 priority. And wait, this is only Part 1. #realtalk

About a year ago I got into a huge argument that left me at a loss for words. That heated conversation forced me to see myself in a very different and new perspective. What I discovered is that I’ve been lost and desperately needed to recalibrated and refocus. So I started seeing a therapist to dissect my thoughts and really dig deep to find answers. A year after starting therapy I’m now starting to open up and share honestly. #reaktalk --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/lucratia/message
I’ve been struggling with taking care of my own health and wealth by always over-extending myself to the people around me to the point that I felt guilty when I physically couldn’t do it. I’m trying to put me first now. I honestly caught myself slipping Real talk
